    Hi Harry,
    I just bought my first stringing machine because I want to play with these details. I appreciate learning from you. You make great videos.

    Going thinner seemed to help me more with tension maintenance but since I'm not a pro I support going higher up front

    extra week is worth it if he strings only every other months or so. my rec is to string the racket once a month. String cost doesn't go up that much by stringing little more often

    I do make string my poly strings higher because it loosens up after about an hour . So i anticipate with a higher tension. For me its about 2 or 3 pounds loss. Or 1kg for europeans like me.

    Yonex PolyTour-Fire- is excellent for tension maintenance, it even seems to tighten up a couple of pounds after a few hours of play, is great as a full bed and is an excellent main in a hybrid set-up. Great durability, power, spin potential and good feel.

      I play with a Vcore 95 and I also use Poly Tour Fire, it's an amazing string! Does everything well and definitely has great tension maintenance too!

      @@TagUrIt2000 I came across it when I purchased a Vcore 95 strung with a full bed, It really suits the Vcore 95 which is a very string sensitive frame.

    Hey Tennis spin, I had a question on if you string higher than the recommended string tension on the racket? Say if the recommended is 59 pounds but u string at 62 pounds. Thanks

      Hey, I know I’m not tennis spin, but I know a little about strings. There are players who get their strings strung at high tension. The recommendation on the racket is what tension plays best for that racket. I know a player who strings his racket at 62 lbs. but the recommended tension is 50-59. It’s preference. However, if you go way too high with the tension (like 70 lbs.), it can shorten the life of your racket!

      I’m sure this is possible but the type of rubber you use may cause damage/marking to the court you’re using

    What about a multi like x1?

    • @bournejason66
      @bournejason66 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It holds tension better than polyester. Harry also mentioned Head Velocity, a multi.

    Hi, i have a question, i'm a flat hitter and i dont like polyester strings, but i want more control. I should increase tensión or maybe use and hybrid. I have a Blade v8 16x19 with kirsbaum gut feeling at 55lbs. Many thanks in advance!

    • @winniecarl
      @winniecarl 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you have added lead/weight to your Blade? try 60lb+ it will drop 10% after playing with most strings and give you a true 54-55lb tension, more tension = more control.

      Try a Multifilament with poly strands like TF Triax or NXT Control. One of the most control oriented Multis I've ever tried is head rip control, however it has a very muted feel that puts some people off

    How would you say the Tourna Big Hitter Silver Tour compare to Confidential? From your videos, I tried Confidential and bought a reel and now it is complete so looking to get another reel to buy. Thank you.

    • @DrumWizard16

      TBHSTour is firmer and has more control, but better tennis maintenance. Confidential has a little better pocketing and more muted IMO, still decent tension maintenance but BH Tour holds tension 4eva
