      I know it could hold the weight. Unfortunately, that is about all I can tell you as I don't have small children so I am clueless on how any of those seats work.

    Are the stock tires suitable for a finely crushed and packed gravel trail? No mountain biking, just a ride through the woods in the state parks and rails to trails. Most of those are pretty smooth.

      Yeah, no problem there.

    I need the same lawn that Scott has.

    • @scotthardesty
      @scotthardesty  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We put that in when we had 4 dogs that constantly destroyed the yard. Best decision we could have made for the backyard. Now it's always green.

      @@scotthardesty I was thinking what a nice little backyard you had. That lawn is so practical. Back when I had dogs...there was no such thing as a lawn & unfortunately no fake turf either. :/ Showing my age. LOL

      @@lisalalita I also didn't have these options growing up as well. So glad they invented this synthetic grass. They even have a version made specifically for dogs (better drainage) so that is what we had installed.

    These videos are so clearly made by an experienced, professional video and motion graphics editor. They're so much better than your typical product review, and Scott (I presume the aforementioned editor) is having so much fun it's infectious. I bought my first e-bike, the Packer 1, in part based on his review, and I just bought my second, this Go 1, almost entirely based on his review. Love seeing Chicago captured so beautifully in these videos. Thank you, Scott! And if you're working in After Effects, perhaps someday you can include a tutorial on some of those titles you've created? I love that one with the red circle I saw in another video, great stuff.

      Hi Derek. Thank you so much for the kind words. Yes, currently I am a one man show. I haven't been using graphics that long, about a year now, so thank you. Far from an experienced motion graphics editor, I use MotionVfx for the graphics and I use Final Cut Pro to edit my videos. If it was wasn't for Motion VFX, I think my videos would still be as rough as they were over a year. I know you are loving your Packer 1 (I use mine all the time for big grocery runs) and the Go1 is very capable utility bike (gotta get those baskets to haul stuff around). Once again, I appreciate your comment and thanks for the support!

    Good review. Did the stem mirror come with it? Did you have to cut the grip to mount it? Thanks

      The mirror did not come with it. Yes, you will have to drill out the hole, or just use a knife and cut it out.

I’m glad it was free because if I paid $99 for it ☹️. But I really like the aventon bikes and that torque sensor. I test rode a few at blimp city bike shop. Very smooth. I had a bad controller unit with my Velotric, they sent a replacement part within 2 weeks. Unfortunately there was no service help so I had to use you-tube videos to show me what to do. I would buy a BLIX bike next time as they actually have service people you can speak with.

    • @scotthardesty

      Sorry to hear that. Luckily, switching out the controller is relatively simple job. I have the Blix Ultra, which Blix would you get next time?

    • @scotthardesty
      @scotthardesty  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmmmmmm.... I have more testing to do with the Go 1. The baskets have come in so I need to get them on and start using it like I use my RadRunner 3 Plus. The Nomad is my 3rd favorite cadence fat tire bike, and I haven't ridden the Go 1 long enough to compare. It's also comparing a utility bike to a bigger fat tire bike. With that said, I use a utility bike way more than I use my big fat tire bikes.

    Thanks for the informative info. Question: I want a low step folding bike due to space but need something I can carry groceries on. In Greenland it is gravel & loose rocks & holes in roads. Can you/others recommend a folding bike, fat/gravel/snow-usable tyres that handles 15-20%+ hill climbs (easy pedal assist ok) for distances 500m-900meters at a time or a normal sized bike with low step & light?
    One that can evt. be "locked" at 15mph? as I will need a bike that can later be used in Europe. I will risk using a throttle. In GL, they don't sell folding bikes over 8.2ah/250w (20"x4" tyres. On a lady's e-bike with that power I find it can be a real struggle the last 400m even with pedal assist & the tyres are too thin so I glide a lot- dangerous with the hills & needing to brake. Anyone with recommendations- please comment. :)

    • @scotthardesty
      @scotthardesty  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hopefully one of my viewers can answer that question for you. Since I live in the US, I wouldn't know EU specs, nor the bikes that are available over there.

      Once I get the baskets for it, I plan to put it head to head with my Rad Power Bikes Rad Runner 3 Plus. Part of that will be a hill climb with weight on them.

    Curious as to your height and if your position on the bike was upright or a bit of a lean forward? Is there enough room with the wiring to put a stem extender? Anyone try a child seat with this?

    • @scotthardesty
      @scotthardesty  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I am 5'9" with a 32" inseam. I sit pretty upright with this bike. With the BMX handlebars, you can put back towards you making you sit more upright if needed. I don't see this biking needing a stem extender but if you put one on it, it would have be a shorter one.

    Didn't see the Go1 coming, so when Velotric dropped it I was stunned. Cargo doesn't have to mean long tail. The forest color especially is striking. I guess I should test ride this new cadence system to see if it makes me accept that it's not a torque system.

    • @scotthardesty

      It's a different kind of cadence sensor technology for sure.

    I'm already out at the Apple Find My. If they are ony doing Apple there's no way I'd be a go. They need to realize overall Android has more users. So obviously they should have a system for both.

    • @scotthardesty
      @scotthardesty  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can always add an aftermarket tracker to it.

    • @paulcoinc
      @paulcoinc ปีที่แล้ว

      @scotthardesty I don't see them giving a discount because I am not using the built in one. That's where they lose me forcing me to pay for something I don't want.

    • @scotthardesty
      @scotthardesty  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@paulcoinc Well, it's built into the bike and there is no extra fee to have it working (or not working). I do hope you find one that gives you all the features you want and none of the ones you don't want.

    • @paulcoinc
      @paulcoinc ปีที่แล้ว

      @scotthardesty I'd still be out. There would be a cost that goes with it. Others may be fine but I wouldn't buy it unless I was ether given an Android compatible device or compensated for the cost of one.

      You see, there’s a unique trend that’s been remarkably consistent over the past few years:
      Android holds a huge market share lead over iOS around the world.
      iOS holds a solid market share lead over Android in the U.S.
      According to the latest stats from Statcounter, the global market share looks like this:
      Android: 67.56%
      iOS: 31.6%
      But in the U.S., that market share looks like this:
      iOS: 62.13%
      Android: 37.47%
      So here in America, if you have an Android phone YOU are the minority. So them putting an Apple Find My feature into their bike makes sense. The only way you’re right is if you live outside of the US.
