I absolutely agree! Funny thing is, you mentioning Hercules, also a fav of mine. You know the opening title shots at the start of every Hercules episode, looking down the lake with the low clouds? Just by chance, I happened to buy my first home, and ages later suddenly realised that the view in one direction, was that exact same view down the lake! I didn't recognise it before that, as the Hercules video is a moody shot with very low clouds, hiding the mountain tops. I was most surprised, and kinda thrilled actually! (It is Lake Wakatipu in New Zealand).

@@P0Lak2012 how can you tell her hair is dyed? First of all she said to get the part she had to dye it. She could only use studio hairstylist. It was actually in her contract. Don't get me wrong Lucy is beautiful but the color is just way to dark for her skin tone. And most people with that blue of eyes are not brunettes. She's great no matter what. She has a new show on acorn tv now called my life is murder where she plays a retired detective that keeps getting pulled into murder mysterys. It's great.
I grew up totally being in love with Lucy Lawless and Xena, lucky I didn't have a car or I would have been some crazy fan hanging around outside the filming sets. Years later, they had a big auction for a lot of the set equipment, less than an hour's drive from my parent's house. I got really angry with my Dad, because he had promised to drive me to the auction so I could bid on something - I had saved up so much! But Dad just messed about that day, pretending that he never knew I wanted to go, even though I kept reminding him that we will be late, and I missed it. I was so angry with him, and didn't talk to him again for ages, weeks and weeks. Sad thing was, I really wanted Xena's sword, and I found out afterwards that it went for about half what I was prepared to pay. It didn't go for much at all, surprisingly. Whoever has that sword today, is so lucky!

for me the story of the warrior princess is a actually quiet smiliar to the story of enuma elish, where a hero must prove himself by forging social order out of chaos by ressurecting new notions through death. you are a role model which manifests life as it should be fought for and not accepting the chaotic side of it, and more of i bet you are an excellent mother.

a lot of people are going to hate on me for this observation but... for a warrior princess, she had a lot of cellulite. Her face is, of course, quite lovely. Perfect teeth and gums.
I guess you'd expect a character like Xena to look a bit more muscled than she does in the show. But Lucy Lawless has always said that she never saw herself as an action movie actress and that she always hated doing the action scenes. Renee O'Conner looked more well toned in the show to be honest but apparently she was originally a dancer. Or at least had some background in dancing, I'm not sure.
