Just bought one today. A bit overwhelming at first (I'm an old CBer from the early 80's) but I'll get there...
    Well impressed with it.
    Good informative video.
    Thanks. 73's

I'm returning to cb after 30+ years and just got the same radio, how did you find using the cable and software? I connected mine up but get com port error.

Victoria did things go? I have the CRT SS6900N which is the same radio in a different name, came preprogrammed for 10/11m which was a God send for me, and I never once had a problem with it.
I did upgrade to the SS9900 (10/11/12m) and a little bit more digital, but it is so simple to use like the 6900.
I like Alinco's & have several 🏧 dx-sr8e/dj-s41c to name a few, mew too 2m/70cm, but my roots started like most on 11m Cb in the 80's, I guess I can just afford it now.
Wish you all the best with the radio mate, 73's. The Mad Hatter 26-CT-4078 Mcr UK 🇬🇧

Outstanding video tuturial, Matt. That DR-135UK looks indentical to my recently purchased CRE 8900 radio. Going to run the software for my radio to see what frequencies have been put in and programmed, now i know how to do it by watching this video of yours. Thank you ever so much.

One thing you have forgot to mention is the reset part of changing from CB to 10M. Pressing Func and EMG is what sets off part of the change between frequencies, but you need to hold the FUNC button until it says reset. One that is done it will change the band and that is it fully set. Apart from that good radio. 2M0WHN [108DR357]

The CRT SS 9900 uses a version of the same board and is programmable down to 24.800 Mhz Has anyone tried to programme their DR135/DX10 with 12m?

Greetings from Andorra.I have a radio in Alinco DX 10 and I have a doubt .. The clarifier is different from the ones I knew .. here it is not a wheel that is making the reception vary .. Changing the sound of sharp to grave .. Anyway always ... but on this radio equipment is a dial that is jumping on the frequency and does not seem so fine or so simple ... what do you think of this system? I am a bit strange to me ..

@@TimTM-gm6od I wanted a small ssb capable radio as well but buying one of these was a terrible mistake. The receiver goes wild when near anything electrical, my car audio system makes the signal meter look like a sound level meter, it bounces to the beat and can go 30+ depending on how loud my stereo is turned up but traffic lights, lamp posts, power lines ect send it just as crazy and its impossible to drive with it on cos the rx is all over the place.
The channel selector is also of very poor quality, one click up could do one or it might go up two or even back one channel, it has a mind of its own!

the cre 8900 and all the alinco variants of this radio are all the same exact radio. word off warning though, if your into ssb these radios will develop an off frequency issue eventually and no amount of adjusting it by the service menu will correct this. it may be possible to adjust it internally on the ssb offset oscillators. i have 2 cre8900 units and one is off badly on lsb. to be on 27.385 i have to have the display read 27.387 but usb is still showing correctly though. other than that issue and the high white noise its ok. i just turn back the rf gain down and its good, plus use the audio hi cut button. they are stable on ssb after 5 minutes off warm up, also use a better electret mic, the factory one is crap. have the alinco dx-10 as well, exact same radio.

Got all the 11m (UK 40's) programmed in on my newly aquired CRE 8900 but having a wee small problem. When i enter the correct frequency for each channel for the UK 11m (I.E channel one = 27.60125 and the rest upto channel 40) in the CRE 8900 programming software. On my radios display it shows "27.60120" and the same for the rest of the channels. How do i change from 10khz steps to 1khz steps in order to bring it bang on frequency please ? I've read the radios manual but i can't find anything that tells you how to go in 1khz steps, even though the manual states that this radio has 10Hz, 100Hz, 1KHz and 10KHz steps. Please can anyone help. Thanks ever so much

Did you know that the Alinco dx-10/DR-135UK is NOT! a UK Foundation licence compliant radio,
see terms of licence (iR 2028), unless anyone knows different, i asked Alinco directly.

Hello. Quick question. I have alinco DX 10 version of this radio with the ems 70 mic which in hand feels like a cheap top. Anyway I thought I treat the radio to something a bit more substantial in hand. I went for the alinco EMS - 57 which is a 8 pin with the original mic being a six pin. Called up Mr Knights to knock me up a adapter thingy only to be told its not that simple something about different voltages. I said I just want the mic to be just a mic. Bypass all the other menu stuff. Oh I dunno! Mr Knights kool though

you know that the USB socket on the back is not USB right? its a serial connection and needs a serial adapter, you cant plug in a normal USB cable, its stupid that they put a USB socket on the back. As for software, this channel has links banned in the comments but if you go to my channel there is a video of me showing how terrible the receiver is in this radio (dx-10 is the same radio), look on the bottom of the description and i will post a link to download the software there.

What setting do you have Mic Gain at on FM and SSB?

    • @shonniebhida
      @shonniebhida 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

I tried various settings of everything possible, I could hear loads of foreign stations, I could tune the in easy, but any Station within 15 of me, I could not clarify them, and my modulation was not good to them, FM was fine, I had the settings for fine Tune on SSB, People were giving me long counts up to 20, and still the Rig would not Clarify, in fact it was so Bad I could only understand 60% of conversation, very strange? A shame, loads of features in that Radio in a nice Package, Been a Radio Ham for many years I know when something is not right straight away, I actually smashed it up before it went into the Bin, I had be listening to countless Clips on TH-cam of the Radio, all seem to like then, maybe I was just unlucky, should have sent it back, but the Red Mist kicked in, and that was it.

Its a terrible radio, dont buy one, the Receiver in it is horrendous!
The USB socket on the back is NOT a standard USB cable!!!!!! its a serial port and its dumb that alinco put a USB socket on it, do not plug a standard USB cable in!!!!
You can take the cover off the radio and connect any serial adapter the pH style socket on the PCB for programming, its more reliable using that connection, Dont waste your money on a alinco cable.
