I grew up in the 80s and 90s and this has that vibe. This colour combination was used in a lot of music videos, the same beat, a lot of the music even the vocals. And it reminds a lot of the video games of that era. I looked up "Synthwave" and found a lot of newer music videos using the same themes. Thanks for introducing me to that.
