I just learnt the lip role in 2 days by practicing through your video. For all the learners, I just wanna say that you have to push and pull the air through a limited area of your half opened mouth. Trust me.. It works!! 👍

This one actually came natural to me, I learned it by doing the inward zipper first and doing the duck noise or the "Wub" sound as you explained. It helped me very fast

I like using inward lip rolls rather than that type because you can do a harder drop with it.
+SMWVE_ BEATBOX__ Is doing it exclusively inward a lot different? Should I practice this method for a few days to get it down, and then figure out the inward part by itself?
Inward is a little different than any other lip roll because of the fact that you have to keep the pressure of your lips while inhaling to make the sound but once you get this lip roll down, it should be easier to aster inward, or at least that's how I learned it.

Im try very hard to make liproll sound untill now doesn't work...so sad...btw i love liproll sound
4 months, yes 4 months then I learned hahaha
I took 1 week to master all the variations xD
Learned in 2 months , only the basic lip rolls , and in 7 months I learned almost all types of lip roll , instead of teeth rolls :)

After seeing these comments I thought I'm so untalented. I can't roll my middle tongue I can roll left side of my tongue but it is almost useless cuz I can do few variations by using left side tongue roll. And I've been spending almost 7 months for lip roll but I can't do that fuckin sound.

I don't know if my mouth is small or what, but my liprolls are really high for some reason. Is there a reason for that? I also have braces, maybe that effect my lips or something

I've been beatboxing since I was 7 years old. At the time, I didn't know what beatboxing was, I sounded like smacking noise and clicking noises with my mouth and doing rhythms. I made beats with it for a long, long time. I'm 16 years old and I was 7 when I first started. You would think, oh, he's been doing it for soooo long that he is the best beatboxer on the planet!!!
Well..... No, I can't do too many beats, not even the lip roll I've been literally practicing and trying to do for 1 year straight!!!! I swear to you, I should have been got it by now. But nope. I just don't know what I'm doing wrong. Maybe I'm holding it too tight, my mouth is too far to the right or left... Maybe I'm so skinny that my mouth isn't right for it and doesn't work, heck I don't know. I know that when I try to inhale with just the pressure in my mouth, my bottom lip doesn't do anything when my other side is tight while the other part is lose?! I don't know what to do and I don't want to give up still!!! 😖
That sucks, I got the lip roll in about 3 days and after like 3 months of practicing i was able to do a lot of different lip rolls (its been more then 3 months by now)
i've been into beatboxing because my cousin did one by clicking his tongue and lip smacks, and I learned the basics and outplayed my cousin, as I progress more in beatboxing, I realized I can't do many tricks because of my damaged vocal chords(limited vocal scratches and stuffs) and I can't do the lip roll because of my braces

I know the lip roll isn't a really long sound to use, so is the vibration supposed to stop )my lip gets sort of dry and then it's just air. Am I not doing something right?
How about mouth position? How do I need to strech my lower jaw?
80fits please I want to know if you use your tongue to pull air in or out !? Cause I noticed that I use it in order to achieve both parts of the lip roll and I do not know how to stop it so please answer me ^^
