Edit- By the way, this band did amazing. My marching band definitely has competition. Idk where this band originates, but I hope they go to BOA, if we make it. :) At 5:36 that dutter was really on it. Unless that was someone else. I think those were duts. For those who don’t know, marching bands do a thing called “dutting” which is exactly what it sounds like. It’s saying “dut” to the tempo to keep time. Also, for those in marching bands (such as myself… SHHS HILLTOPPER PRIDE YALL), never, and I mean never EVER, do what that dutter did if it was a dutter. Never make your duts loud enough for the audience to hear. It ruins effect most of the time, especially when there are people playing. EDIT #2: Someone in this band replied to my comment saying that it wasn’t a dut, but a cue. I apologize for my misunderstanding!
@@yosgaraz I was once a band member for this band. I’m not stupid. They played earlier. That’s the prelims. This is the finals. They don’t play 2 times in 1 days for no reason.
I’m in the band, there were 4 bands chosen for exhibition before finals, it’s a positive because we still got a new judging panel and got to perform twice

I’m in this band- it wasn’t a dut- they said S.S.D.L which stands for Sulphur springs drum line. It’s a verbal cue not a dut. It’s different
@@rflrsmusic OHHHH okay!! Awesome to know! Thank you! I’ll edit my comment hold on…
