Why get married? As a male all your assets and children are at risk and you lose15 years of your life and all your money.
All she has to do is leave and tell the "Family Court" a few lies and you are stuffed.

No fault divorce works well for those who can repartner easily: young, childess women and well off men of any age.
Politicians are usually in the second category, as are judges in the Family Court. They have nothing to lose from divorce. Anything that they have to give their first wives, is offset by the contribution their new, younger, employed wives will make to their next household.

If either spouse can break down the marriage on no grounds at all, against the wishes of the other spouse, halving his or her living standard, without incurring a penalty or being required to compensate the other spouse, then marriage does not exist.
The vows made during at the wedding, before witnesses, have not been legally binding since the 1975 Family Law Act was passed.
Since 1975, weddings have been no more than parties and marriage certificates are not worth the paper that they are printed on. People don't tie the knot because there is no knot to tie.

Marriage between men, woman and god was good. But including government is where it went wrong. It's better to not get married while government is involved. Divorce courts are too heavy stacked against men for us to care these days. You have to know she is worth it but us men also know that even when we're 100% it sure isn't worth it on the risk assessment. There are countless guys in the men's spaces thought they were 100% sure and find out later it wasn't worth it. I believe in the notion of marriage but It's too corrupt so sorry.

  • @chriswatson1698

Marriage is found in all cultures because all the humans on earth have to cope with the same biological realities: raising a child is a two person task and men want to know that the children that they are raising are their own. While it is obvious who the child's mother is, because he comes out of her body, the father is unknown. Fatherhood is defined by a man's relationship with the child's mother.
Marriage is a contract between a man and a woman in which the man recognizes the children of the woman as his own legitimate offspring and undertakes to support them to adulthood. Hence the enormous importance placed upon the chastity and faithfulness of wives

No, it is due to the 1975 Family Law Act which rendered everyone's marriage contracts null and void. The vows made at the wedding used to be legally binding and there were penalties for breaking them.
Divorce is a cruelty imposed by one spouse on the other. The function of the Family Law Courts is to facilitate that cruelty, on behalf of the cheat.

Most of the fights come from money caused by greed and inflation. Living together is Sin, Marriage is from God for families, follow his commandments and there will be a
be very little fights. Man is to leave his father mother cleave to his wife, not Girl friend creating single parents. No man can marry a man same for a woman, you all need
to repent of your sins and save your soul from condemnation, eternity suffering hell fire.

All societies, patrilineal or matrilineal (there has never been a matriarchal society) have to deal with the same biological realities. Raising a child is a two person task at the very least. Men want to know that they children that they are raising are their own biological children. Hence the enormous importance attached to the chastity of wives.
Marriage is the contract by which fathers are assigned to children. Fatherhood is determined by the man's relationship with the child's mother. And it is obvious who the child's mother is, because the child comes out of her body. The identity of the father is not obvious. It is only the discovery of DNA testing that has made paternity identifiable.
