As a fan of Michael's(as well as zombie movies!), it was like Xmas coming the way Mtv had a lil timer on the corner of the screen for idk how long but it was a countdown for when this video would air. Shows how big he was at the time. Also, found it pretty neat Vincent Price doing the narration.

Should really look at the behind the scenes video of the making of “Thriller” the movie. It shows everything especially, how goofy and childlike Michael really was whenever he just wanted to have fun, compared to how seriously he would transform when he needed to take care of business.
How about a reaction mashup to "The Making of Thriller"? I remember every year when they used to air Thriller on MTV/VH1 around Halloween, it was always followed by "The Making of Thriller." You learn about how John Landis got involved, the choreography, the special effects to transform MJ into a werewolf/werecat, and how they churned out all the backup dancers' zombie costumes.
This choreography deserved to be celebrated! Just like Kate Bush fans have a day to dance the Wuthering Heights, Michael fans should dance this on Halloween!
I always thought it was weird that he started off by saying he doesn't believe in the occult. The only thing I ever questioned watching this as a kid is if great dance music, combined with Vincent Price's voice, could make monsters do elaborate dance numbers. As I got older, I realized that was all very silly: virtually any MJ song could do that if you play it at the right time.
