Description
This is the first part of our tale of Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk. Throughout this series we will be going through the Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition Adventure, Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk.
I have been wanting to do a narrated story walkthrough of one of the published D&D adventures and figured with the release of Phandelver and Below it was a perfect time to start. This series will be a mixture of narrated story and solo adventuring.
In this episode we meet our party of adventurers who are all headed to the rough and tumble town of Phandalin. Each member of the party has their own reasons for being on a particular wagon headed south on The High Road. As the party turns east on the Triboar Trail towards Phandalin, they find a two horses and signs of a fray. The party is then ambushed by goblins. One escapes. The party must decide if they will press forward to Phandalin or north after the goblin.

Honestly I was blown away with how good this is, I really appreciate this thank you. This is extremely helpful for DM's who are wanting to run this adventure.
Love the idea, super helpful as a first time DM trying to set up a campaign for friends who also are playing for the first time ❤️ Keep it up!
I'm in the same boat. This is very helpful!
Good luck to you both.
I dabble in solo play alongside the game I run for my friends. So glad yt recommended me your video, it's really cool to see someone else playing this way & sharing their story :D Your narration and presentation is wonderful. I look forward to following these characters on their adventure!
Seems fun, and a good narrative. But those Goblins were the dumbest ever seen. They didn't hide after their attacks. Luckiest party ever.
im gonna DM this in a few days. and this helped me big time with some notetaking. keep going! loving the projekt so far! 💪
More coming soon 😄
I'm really glad to see that someone else had the same idea as me. Nobody else seems to understand what I think of solo D&D.
I love this video! Amazing job! I just purchased the Shattered Obelisk and am looking forward to running it (several months away as my group is currently in the midst of another DMs campaign), so interested to see the rest of this project!
Keep it up! I really enjoyed this, was on my home page glad it popped up
Loved this so much gonna watch the next one now. Cant wait for more!
🎉good luck on this project! I think it’s super unique and smart!
I like this dude, subbed
Great video thank you
I see a ton of work you put into it, I really like it. You have some great midjourney art in here. It might be good to link the image prompts. There will be others that follow me looking for great images curated for this adventure, and you have put some work into those, I can tell. Might be an angle for your channel. Good luck and you got my subscribe.
TH-cam DID IT RIGHT, very happy to get this reccomended.
💙
It must have taken a lot of time and effort to put together. Very well made! 🎉
This is a great idea! I hope you stick with it ❤
Thank you! It has been a ton of fun and I'm excited to keep the story going.
It's crazy to hear characters with American accents. Enjoying it though so keep it up
Thanks! I am terrible at accents so I stuck with American in hopes of not offending anyone haha 😄
With the upcoming release of Vecna eve of ruin. I wonder how well it would be to run phandelver and below following it up with eve of ruin as a 1 to 20 level adventure. Thoughts? 🤔
It would definitely be interesting. Obviously we don't know exactly how that story goes but I'm sure there is a way to tie everything together without too much effort.
This is well done. I’m just curious how you made your characters, their hp is way too high to be level 1.
I used D&D beyond. I noticed this as well and they get fixed later on.
@@path_of_the_yeti Fair enough. Mistakes happen.
While I enjoy this vid very much, one question: Why do the HP of the heroes jump up and down during the fight? Glitch?
It's supposed to show their HP after taking damage etc. I am not perfect at it though 😀
@@path_of_the_yeti NP. You did exceptional work
I'll also suggest you re-frame your portrayal of what this is. Rather than #solorpg perhaps in this mass media context we share with you it might be something #sharedrpg or something like that. Again, good luck!
Great narrative - although way too fast. Keep in mind - your listener is trying to take the scenes all in. I suggest reposting at .90 speed or so.
Yeah I slow it down after a few episodes. No plans to repost but thanks for the feedback.
this adventure is gonna need boy kissing
TRUUUUUUE
I love this idea, but you need to read slower. It sounds like you are rushing through the narrative
That is great feedback, thank you.
I personally enjoyed the pace.
