Hey thanks for watching! 😁 There’s now a 260 page eBook that goes with the Cajon Method 1.1 course. It's full of easy-to-read notation, practice tips and more. If you're interested, please consider joining the class. th-cam.com/users/rosslmccallumjoin Thank you! ❤
Excellent lesson, Ross. Thanks for the clear methodical approach - very useful! Regarding drummers who use space well, Phil Collins comes to mind. As a drummer, might be known more for his dramatic fills, yet he plays with a lot of sensitivity. Several songs on Genesis “We Can’t Dance” album feature songs with this aspect, such as “Hold on My Heart” and “Driving the Last Spike.” Thanks again for all the terrific instruction - keep up the great work!
Thanks so much Robert! I like trying these kind of simple, memorable but effective practice ideas. Phil Collins is absolutely one of the best!!! I’ll go have a listen to those songs 🎧
Thanks so much! Glad I could share something a bit new and fun while being pretty beneficial I think. Did you enjoy having some backing music in the video?
Hey! Coming from a highschool drumline/concert percussion experienced player. I really enjoyed this video. Gonna try to throw this, and varitions into my daily routine. Thank you so much for the video! -side note, when i turned my phone horizontal, the logo was over the "a" L bass hit at the final part of the excercise. Not sure if thats just a me thing.
Hey Matthew! I’m glad the video helped give you some extra practice ideas. Ahh okay, it might be something that happens on most phone screens. Maybe I’ll make sure the sheet music doesn’t hit the edge of the screen so much for future videos :-) thanks for letting me know!

That’s gonna be so cool! Welcome back 😄
What app we can use for metronome??
There are lots of good ones out there. My favourites recently are “click” and “gap click”
And actually just a physical metronome is the best whenever you want to have less distractions or temptation to stop practicing.
Did you switch from Sela to Meinl?
Yes that was one big exciting step I took last year!
I learn from u...U r osm...
It's my pleasure to share music and lessons!
