    I LOVE your EDC, it's so practical and not full of nonsense like 5 knives and 3 lighters. Only thing I would add is a portable battery since you don't always get to have an outlet. Awesome video!

      Hi @cecilereyna7985 , thank you so much for the positive feedback and the support!
      Hahahaha yes, I do like knives and lighters and flashlights, but my car is small and the space is very limited, so I prefer the practicality because every item in this video is something that I've used at least once when I was in need.
      I do have a power bank that I carry with me, but I prefer not to leave it in the car since it can swell and get damaged because of the heat. It's in my urban EDC pouch that I ALWAYS take with me everyhere I go, just adapt a bit when travelling by plane. Care to check it out and give me a feedback? I'd much appreciate it! :)

    Great to see another well thought out EDC video. Happy to see you add a bit more commentary since the micro edc video. Something I'd like is to keep the text on the screen a bit longer since I had to pause a lot.
    But yeah a well thought out kit. I started with the same Decathlon pouch even though not nearly that maxed out. The attachment method is so much better than classic MOLLE. Only things I don't like in addition to the missing outside compartment and the zippers is that it's only available in this green colour... But I mean since you would pay more than twice for a decent alternative it's great for any non daily pouch. Looking forward to new videos!

      Hi @jakobganske1055, thank you so much for the support and specially the feedback, it's super important for me! :) I did considered leaving the text a bit more, but I was afraid it'd become a bit boring, but I'll definitively keep that in mind for future videos. I do love the pouch - other than those flaws it's great for me and I specially like that it has both horizontal and vertical loops, which means I can arrange gear more easily without them overlapping each other. Once again, thank you!

    Very well thought out, imo its missing a multi tool of sorts, maybe a leather man or a good sized SAK, especially the ones with the scissors on them, theyre very useful. Love it though ❤

    • @theeverydaytechie
      @theeverydaytechie  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Thank you so much for the support 😁 I'm currently looking to buy a Leatherman Signal + the double sided bit kit set precisely to fill that gap. I love the Climber version of the SAK and I plan on getting that one too in the future.
      Appreciate the feedback! Tânia

    I always include dental floss, very useful stuff. I love the way you prep for your fur baby too. Well done, good video.

      Hi! Thank you so much for the feedback and support 😁 Believe it or not, I actually bought a super extra tiny dental floss last week and put in there. I know it has many uses, I've even seen people stitching stuff and doing sutures with it, as a last resort.
      Yes, she's a baby allright 😆
      Is there anything more you'd change or add? KR, Tania

    If this is your Truck bag that you leave at all times in your vehicle, then you have 1/20th of my setup in my Truck.
    If this is your EDC bag to bring with you when you leave your vehicle, here are my thoughts.
    Nix the Knife/fork, pens, tick remover,& knife sharpener combo and buy a Victorinox SAK Swiss Champ knife w/sheath. It has all of that built in. Also buy a 6 inch Ferro rod that is 1/2 inch thick & nix that toy version knife sharpener w/ferro rod as it is useless in harsh weather.
    These items are just too bulky: Nix the razor and buy a smaller one that u cut the handle off leaving only 1 inch of handle. Replace the lip balm with ChapStick, saving the cap and pushing the bees wax outside of the container and cutting a sandwich bag to keep it together. Replace the larger sunblock with a smaller round tube spray version, much less bulky. Get a much more compact toothbrush, mine is 1/4 that size. Replace the carabiner with an actual climber's carabiner. Replace the 4 hour glow stick with a 12 hour glow stick.
    Add another Mylar Solar Blanket, 750lb. paracord, Dentel Floss, Foot Warmers (larger than handwarmers), a real LED flashlight that takes AA or AAA batteries, a Commando wire saw, Magnesium fire starter, windproof matches. That telescoping magnet can be useful, but personally a telescoping Bellows tube even more so. U can attach Dentel Floss to a magnet and the other end you feed into the Bellows tube, in the end you get 5 features by using a bellows instead: Telescoping magnet, Bellows, straw, blow dart, and forming a noose using 2 sides of dental floss or paracord, you can use it as a grabbing tool for nonmagnetic items.
    These are just a few of the ideas to give you an example of things to do or add.

    • @theeverydaytechie
      @theeverydaytechie  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Michael! Wow, thanks a lot for the feedback and the tips! My favorite was the bellow one, really haven't thought of that, but great idea 🤯
      As mentioned in the description, this is focused on a urban environment. I do have another one more suited for outdoor activity/emergency/bugout, that has more heavyduty gear and all the things you indicated, but I'll definitively take your recommendations and put them in good use :D
      Do you have a video of your car/truck EDC? Would love to see that!
      - Stay safe, Tânia

      @@theeverydaytechie For Uban, i would add a GPS, USB Flash Drive (have encrypted with your personal info, health records, medication history, Home auto & health insurances info, financial info), a mini walkie talkie, and a older smart phone that has no service plan that you can still use to call 911 and for browsing Wi-Fi hot spots, and a Map and compass. I edited a few suburban Survival books in the past, and was a former professional wilderness survival writer myself. Feel free to pick my brains for upcoming projects...

    • @theeverydaytechie

      Thanks for the tips. The USB I have in my small EDC Muji pouch, you can check it here, if you want - th-cam.com/video/RWZCYuL_FIg/w-d-xo.html.
      I added a compass and whistle with a built-in magnifier and thermometer to this car bag not long after shooting this video and I have the map in my car. The walkie I have in my bug out bag.
      But which GPS do you advice? I saw some Garmin ones that looked proper and were kind of affordable...
      Suunto also launched a smartwatch that has offline maps and says the battery can last up to 60 days. It's called Vertical, if I'm not mistaken

      @@theeverydaytechie I have a Garmin GPS in the truck and I also have another Garmin that is waterproof that I use for camping and kayaking. I believe in redundancies, so my Cell phone also has a GPS app , Star map app, and Driving directions app.
      To answer a previous question, although I took photography at Brown University, & later videography & editing, I haven't yet gotten into being a TH-camr, and only just professional wilderness survival writing. I do have all the equipment and hardware and software to do TH-cam videos, just haven't gone that route as of yet.
      Currently my work is on online magazines, E-Commerce sites, and Gear Reviews websites. I also have a few blogging sites.

    Finalmente um canal português com boa definição e video estabilizado . Bom edc . O Edc do cão fez me rir mas é uma excelente ideia . Também tenho duas bolsas da Solomnag . Excelente qualidade para o preço . Bom trabalho ganhas te um subscritor ...

      Olá João, muito obrigada tanto pelo teu apoio como pelo feedback, é muito importante 😊 Sim, as bolsas são óptimas, só me chateia mesmo a qualidade dos cursores porque prendem e torna-se um pouco frustrante, mas também não uso a bolsa assim com tanta frequência e todos os outros pontos positivos acabam por compensar ⭐
      Tenho um outro vídeo do meu EDC que levo comigo para todo o lado, se te interessar, podes encontrar o link na descrição. Obrigada mais uma vez!

    Talk to us about that toilet paper, it looks like a mini or a travel set… where did you get that from or how did you do that?

    • @theeverydaytechie
      @theeverydaytechie  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Benjamin! Hahaha I thought no one was gonna ask...! So basically, this is the insert of a roll of paper - instead of having the cardboard roll, they replaced it with this itty-bitty travel roll.
      But you can also get camper/RV's travel toilet tissue, like this - www.coghlans.com/toilet-tissue-2-pack-9177
      Hope it helps and thanks for the feedback and support! 🌞 Tânia

    Way too many duplications, not much in the way of necessary items, and too heavy towards "one off" situations like insect bites. I'd be willing to be you don't use much of what you are toting around. Nice presentation though.

    • @theeverydaytechie
      @theeverydaytechie  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Heya, thanks for the feedback! ;)
      Believe it or not, the insect bite stick is the item I use most 😂 I'm prone to getting mosquito bites even during cold months, so I got used to carry one around.
      As for the redundancies, the prepper saying goes "two is one and one is none", so I prefer to have double of some things. As I mentioned in the description, this is mainly a "get me out of trouble bag" for an urban environment, and it stays mainly in my car in case any of those things is needed :)
      What would you change?
