I called her up seeking an urgent emergency appointment for my father-in-law as he is in his last stages according to the treating doctor as she suggested him for second opinion. Her words were 'anything can happen anytime'. The personal assistant is asking me to wait for 2 months for an appointment in spite of me telling her that it is urgent. Very unethical. I don't think that is what doctors take the oath while getting their license to practice the noble profession they are in. very emotionally exploitative, Poeple expect more from the doctors, very sorry state of affairs.
Bro doctors are not always free. Your father in law is not the only person who was in an emergency.The wait for 2 months indicates that this doctor is in high demand and everyone wants to be treated by him.dr ashish dutta is not the only neurologist, there are tons of neurologists in kolkata.if your father in law was really in an emergency situation, you could have easily set an appointment with any other neurologist.
