[Allah] said, "O Iblees, what prevented you from prostrating to that which I created with My hands? Were you arrogant [then], or were you [already] among the haughty?" Surah Al-A'raf 7:16 Sahih International [Satan] said, "Because You have put me in error, I will surely sit in wait for them on Your straight path. Therefore, you can see that Satan blamed Allah by saying that "You have put me in error" instead of asking forgiveness, he said in way that because of you.
Project True Love Brother, you're not getting what I am trying to say. If you see your question " Did Iblis blame Allah or is Dr. Qadhi putting words into Iblis's mouth?" I just answer by quoting from the Quran. This verse is not from me, Astagfirullah!!!. If you carefully read the verse Satan blamed Allah for his own actions. Therefore, it is not Dr. Qadhi who is putting the word into Iblis's mouth. It is Iblis who blamed Allah for his own action instead of asking forgiveness. There is NO DOUBT that Allah does anything wrong to any of his creation. By the way I AM NOT IBLIS TO BLAME ALLAH. May Allah guide all of us to the right path. Ameen!!
Deen Islam Salaam: Thank you for the verse you quoted. My point is did Iblis blame Allah or did he say to Allah that Allah Willed him out because he had done wrong. Because nothing happens without the Will of Allah. The two ways Allah exercises His Will is one that it Emanates From Himself and the second is when He exercises His Will as consequence to His Creation's actions or reactions.
Iblis said: My Lord, because You have put me in error, I will surely make [disobedience] attractive to them on earth, and I will mislead them all.” Sūrat’l-Ḥijr [15:39]........the original question is answered...so is Dr. Qadhi relieved from this blame? Your second question is about Qadr and I suggest you ask a person of knowledge that you trust.
i always wonder why this guy never covers his head with any turban/kufi/any piece of cloth as rasulAllah(pbuh) used to do?..not even during the friday khutbah?..is he shy to wear anything on his head?
Assalamu Alaikum, his name is Yasir Qadhi, calling him "this guy" sounds a bit disrespectful to me considering I have a lot of respect for the work that he does. Anyhow, wearing the turban and kufi or whatnot is not a sign of religiousity as it is commonly mistaken to be. The prophet (saw) did not come up with a new set of "muslim clothing". The prophet (saw) used to wear what the arabs of his time used to wear. His clothing was no different from the clothing of the pagans in Makkah. He wore the clothes of his culture. Therefore, the sunnah is to wear the clothes of your own culture as long as it is modest and falls within Shariah's boundary. There is nothing wrong with Sheikh Yasir Qadhi not covering his head, it's his own choice. Hope that clarifies.
I agree with rifaarsh. Saying that he NEVER covers his head is not even a correct statement. Just scroll through some of his videos and you will see some where he covers his head. May Allah SWT bless all of us.
rifaarsh Walaikum Assalam, Zajak Allah for your reply and I agree with most of what you have said. And I am calling him "this guy" because I feel he appears to be a bit arrogant the way he presents himself. Anyways, I am a bit confused when you said " Therefore, the sunnah is to wear the clothes of your own culture as long as it is modest and falls within Shariah's boundary"...actually I was not talking about the clothes you wear everyday, I was talking about covering ones head during the prayer ( for an imam while delivering khutbah ). I am sure the pagans in Makkah did not perform the salah nor did they deliver khutbah during Friday prayers. However, Prophet(saw) used to cover his head during the salah, and Muslims til this day have been following this tradition. Now my question is, does this imam think he is too special to cover his head or he is just ashmed to do so? Also there is another question regarding sunnah, keeping beard was something men used to do back then in Arabia (including pagans of Makkah/Madinah), so did the Prophet (pbuh) , nowadays men like to be clean shaven rather than growing beard. My question here is, would it be considered as sunnah if one chooses to follow the current cultural trend and be clean shaven and disregard the old traditional way of keeping beard?
rez718 I believe the correct way of saying it is "Jazakallah Khair" and not "Zajak Allah". The prophet (saw) never made it an obligation to cover the head during prayer or any other time nor did he recommend it as far as I know. Whether one decides to do so is to their own discretion. As for keeping the beard on the other hand, there are hadiths in which the prophet (saw) recommended it and therefore it IS a sunnah.
The more you ask the creation, the more irritated they will be at you, but the more you ask Allah, the more Allah will love you.
May Allah reward you here n here after with blessing
may god bless you with all his blessings.
Jazakallah khair Sheikh
