This group always did kind of sultry sound and choreo with similar motives so they basically worked step by step to this kind of really daring thing. They also worked on the choreo themselves and two of them participated on producing the song along with other producers. There are 2 parts of MV behind and also jacket shooting behind. In the MV behind at one moment you can hear a soundtrack from movie Call me by your name so it is completely intentional and respectful portrayal of various relationships between men to highlight the desire concept. The fact that it's between men only makes it stronger imo considering it's still quite taboo in Korea and therefore it's basically a forbidden desire at top of that. It's also cheaper to have them do it like that instead of hiring female dancers lol. :D :D

I fully think the only reason the word girl is in the song and one more on the album is so they would not get banned on the shows for being “too gay”. This was bold and beautiful and showed representation in a way that was so poetic to watch. They confirmed in the behind the scenes that is what the mv is about and they also went on Korean national radio and discussed it. As someone from the lgbt community I feel represented and it is amazing to see this in kpop 🥺❤️
