For iron wok, you should burn your new wok until it's black before you use it to fried anything.
There is a cat similar to yours at one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. I told the Chinese lady running the restaurant it was a "High 5" cat because it's arm could swing back and forth after lightly fist bumping or high fiving it. Either she's really polite or genuinely amused. Either way I tip about 20 to 25% because the food and service is so good.

The cat is actually part of Chinese culture! It's called a Zhao Cai Mao (招财猫) in Mandarin, meaning "cat who beckons luck" so it's really common to see in lots of Chinese restaurants. The waving arm is the cat "ushering" in good luck to everyone around it!

Don’t directly use the wok that you just buy, cuz the wok haven’t “quench” yet I wasn’t sure it should be call quench or not, first of all you need to clean it properly and then dry it use the fire heat up the wok until it turned blue,make sure the wok all the way turn blue, don’t over heat it if the wok you heat it until red you fked up only can buy a new one, and then coat wok inside it with pork fat oil, or you can just use small piece pork belly meat rob around and then get some green leaf vegetables like leaf lettuce asparagus lettuce rob it around inside of the wok so it coat with animal oil and vegetables oil,after that wait for the wok not that hot completely rinse it wash it, after that your wok will become a none stick wok, if you find out that was too difficult just bring the wok to an Chinese restaurant ask them if they can help you with it, not just the wok become none stick also keep the wok in a good condition for long time. And last tip always wipe it dry after you wash it or use it just in case the wet spot become rust. #NICEWOKMATTERS

did he wash the wok? - when it's store bought, it usually comes with petroleum-based oil on it. to prevent rust. the wok has glue from the price-sticker still on it. not a good sign.
when you season a wok, you're really layering black carbon on the surface, to prevent rust, and even food-sticking. unfortunately, seasoning a wok becomes a chore that has to be repeated.
it comes off. no matter how well it's done. better to get a stainless steel wok, with a flat bottom - unless you have serious stove with a heavy wok ring. nothing but trouble.
