@Azarius Maxwell apparently the main gun sight wasn't invented either. Because in our time line, the Abrams has a sight in a box on the top of the turret, and the one in the gun mount is used as a backup sight.
That "UP!" sound when the gun is loaded, adds so much to the realism and immersion. That's nuts. And I love they added many variations of it!

6:17 this is an example of a really important tip for Squad. When looking out a window, do it while maneuvering from inside the room. Otherwise, your rifle will give away your position.

I know this is a game and it suppose to be fun but I think its at its most fun is when you have a good communicative team like this and your supporting each other and being lowkey serious but to me that makes it so much more funner to be wrecking everyone.

I totally agree, I love watching these gameplays where everyone is trying to work together towards the objective and kind of taking it seriously. It seems like that's half the fun!

I kinda feel the same way, and it's not as common as I'd like. I was a huge player of BF2 mods and games like opfor, arma, but I find myself having more "fun" in, like, quake champions and the earlier cod games... I'd like to see a gamemode that focuses on squads more, like a squad deathmatch or conquest from more recent battlefield games, where I can get my fill of teamplay without having to rely on a larger team.

I love playing squad leader with a good tank crew cause then you can just call in that effective armor fire team with a suppression lmg fire team to cover infantry. This game is so much more dynamic now it’s amazing

We got a beagle years ago and since then we’ve spoiled him with treats and table scraps so he’s a little chunky to put it nicely. I wish I would’ve named him Abrams 😂

The section where everyone was communicating whether the truck on the hill was hostile or not was spectacular! I loved every moment of the uncertainty

I'm confused as to what kind of tank that's supposed to be. The main sight on an Abrams is mounted on the top of the turret, not in or even near the gun mount.
@@hadderly91 That's exactly what I was wondering, the gunners primary sight is positioned up and to the right of the barrel, and the barrel is not visible from its field of view in almost all instances.
@@reillybrangan2182 I think there might be a backup sight in the gun mount, but I'm not sure that it would be stabalized.

@@-tr0n yeah I play 1440p and I've noticed I'm getting around 120 now instead of 90-100. Didn't know if I was an anomaly or something.

quick tip in tank fights. try to do damage to the gun before going for lower glasis and if you flank it just shoot it in the butt.

Be nice to have the ability to climb on a tank and drop a grenade inside if you have one making tanks truly need to be around infantry support. Ofc mines and explosives fan be placed next to them but it would be nice to make the tanks have to be more careful and roll with a squad or other squads of infantry to keep security around the tank.

"Hit it with HE" *Fires HEAT* Oh boy, that's not good. HEAT uses the Monroe effect to force the explosion to the front of the projectile, the HESCO bags of the enemy fob just absorb the energy and the explosion is reduced in size.
Who is screaming UP! when its done reloading a tankround? is it a player or is it an in-game audio effect?

In-game audio. Swearing "madafuqa" too. Only in Abrams though. Soviet/Russian tanks have auto-loader so they don't.

When the autoloader says UP!!!! he's letting the commander know that the round is loaded and ready to fire
I wish I could kill *one* enemy in this game. 4-5 hours in.
train in shooting range first… it helps a lot. Then don't play in game like "i'm running in the middle of the road, seems funny" and then kills will come. Try a class you like and become proficient with that ;)

dmg to the T-72 is a bit weird ive taken 4-5 hits no problem then other times ive been 1 shotted by a tow or 2 shots from an abram and i always seem to lose the eng even with front armor facing the threat

I'm litteraly unable to play Squad since V12... it crashes on load screen or just gets stuck, I've tried everything, including putting resolution + everything else on low while I could play the game on medium/high at 1080p before. Cleaned the cache, re-installed etc

bro clear the Cache. Its an option In game, it will reset your settings in game so make sure you remember it before hand.
I've had issues with squad before and clearing the Cache works. Longtime fans of squad know about the memes made back in the day because it was all the devs would say when seeking tech support but it genuinely works most of the time.

@@luizferreira1622 I've cleared the cache in the menu and manually already, no luck. I've tried everything for the past 4 days, I'll just wait for the next patch/hotfix I guess. It's alpha after all so no hard feelings but I have 105 hours in this game and now it doesn't work, just kinda sucks... ah well! Thanks for trying to help anyway, appreciated!
I was having the same problems. I went in and verified the game files on steam and it ran its little test and found something that was wrong and it’s worked ever since. It’s worth a shot.
The best experience is with Prior service or active duty veterans.

Why the heck is the HEAT blowing up like HE, come on Squad...
HEAT uses a small explosive to melt and push a copper "bullet" forwards, it has a forward directed explosion. Think of it this way: even if not directed the amount of explosives in it is ~1/4 of what a straight HE has.

Use HEAT against everything except MBT’s, then use SABOT
Heat takes two to four shots to kill non-mbt vehicles. sabot for everything with wheels IMO. Sabot for habs, sabo for radios, heat is purely for INF in my testing.
tr0n HEAT is bugged currently, HEAT is not used for inf in most cases, and on the T72 in addition to HEAT, it has HE (frag)
