Man for $60,000 Thanos armor better be real 24k gold as well. That is absolutely absurd. This is when statue collection has gone too far. As they would say, "there goes the neighborhood." Thanks for covering this, take care and stay safe.
Statue collecting is a nightmare nowadays. Absolutely ridiculous prices and when you want to sell, you're most likely to lose money.

The statue market does seem very flooded with pricy products but at least this studio has smaller scale pieces that are priced lower than the 1/4 or 1/3 scale monsters. But collecting for profit is usually a losing game. Better to invest in mutual funds or real estate for long term financial health. Buy a collectible because you love it, if you happen to make a bit when you sell then that's a bonus.

Since I've got into 3D printing I haven't bought a single statue. Over time more and more statue collectors are going to go down this route.
That sounds awesome but are you really printing the quality of a polystone statue from Sideshow etc?
@@ryanp8021 Yes I am - honestly resin 3D printing has come a long way. Take a look at the 3D sculpts Wicked 3D are putting out as an example. Plus with 3D printing you can print any size you want.
Definitely interested in that Magneto vs Sentinel, Vader and Robocop. Love the insane variety that Iron Studios has. Can build up a diorama of so many IPs just collecting their 1/10th scales and don't have to destroy your bank account to death.
Would expect nothing less from Iron Studios - they're killin it with all these releases!
I'm really interested in She-Ra on Swiftwind, but Iron Studio portraits, especially at 1/10th scale, always seem kinda soft and a bit off.. I would love to see it in real.

That Thanos is unreal, I bet art Statue Collector may pick it up. Price point is insane so you basically just need to not care about money to pick it up.
In the preorder page for the Infinity Gauntlet Thanos, his head looks way too small. Did it look that way in person? Or is the 1/10 scale different than the 1/4 scale?

That Thanos looks horrible anyway. Knee pads and portrait look awful and the gems are in the wrong spots on the gauntlet.
And here i thought prime 1 studio final fantasy piece is overpriced 😂
That paint job is not worth $60.000 has the paint quality of speed paints on a miniature.... Yikes I wouldnt even pay $1000.00

I can’t believe Sideshow didn’t have a booth this year. They’ve been my favorite booth to visit for over a decade. I’ve slowed way down buying statues and 1/6th but just last years booth brought me back to collecting more. Really sad they’re not there.

That Thanos is gonna sell; only question is if they all will or not. I wish IS made 1/6 scale. They get in a lot of detail on 1/10 but that's just too small for me personally - great for a gift but I'd be reluctant to buy another.
This one will sell just like the 1:1 they make for conventions. There are couple collectors with deep pockets who will take it off their hands. I wouldn’t be surprised if we did get this in another scale

The diamonds were small, because they were supposed to be the same size as her eyes. The other stones are like 30 karats each

I was just there! I was thinking about purchasing the Thanos 1/4 scale as well when I saw it from afar but after talking to the one of the creators about the price, I believe it isn’t for me 😂 but very cool and unique concept with the actual gems!
