    Man, if it wasn't for Michael Jackson, Bobby Brown would definitely be my favorite performer ever.
    Those two could've dropped a HOT track together.

      5aq always at no#1...it would take Michael, and he song about righteousness coming together, only following by TLC.

    Pay attention to the vocals on the first performance he was hitting some high notes. People criticize this man but the critics could not come close to his ability.

    One of the most talented entertainers that the world doesn't recognize enough. He is an icon to most r&B, hip-hop stars today such as Chris Brown and Usher. I have much respect for this man.

    Bobby was like one the first to mix hiphop and rnb dance together so the street respected his music too. But he still kept it rnb. I think him and Michael open the doors for Chris brown and usher,and Bobby should get the credit.

    The greatest point blank. I watched this video sober and high. The dance moves and Choreography was incredible. A true legend and pioneer. And BET new edition story was the best ever.

      The second performance, yeah, not so much. He was doing what he called on his Behind the Music, "high music". Getting high more than doing music.

    Thanks for posting this! I hadn't seen it in years. I recorded this whole awards show (the tape is deep in storage somewhere and covered with dust like my other vhs tapes), but I remember I intentionally taped over the show-all except this performance! I had to save it!! I'd seen Bobby perform many times and his dancing was always phenomenal, but in my opinion, this performance was him IN TOP FORM! Ridiculous

    This was Bobby Brown at his BEST. That 360 leap/spin in ON OUR OWN was incredible!!! In truth, he should have been the dance heir to MICHAEL JACKSON and the Bridge to BRUNO MARS. Combining street and sex, had he polished his footwork and followed his own advice about drugs in that rap, we wouldn't be saying "What could have been..." Still, what he accomplished stands far above Usher, Timberlake & Beiber. Bobby was seriously gifted, a Teddy Pendergrass-like sexual energy (Women wanted to F*** him or either be F***** by him) meeting R&B/Hip-Hop dance.

  • @Desireesorenson

    The absolute best performance of On Our Own besides the one where he drops coke on stage lol, I love Bobby Brown to my core I wish he would've had a longer stronger career outside of being Whitney's drug fuled trouble maker husband it's sad this man was so incredibly talented! His dancing was like no other compared to Hammer and Vanilla ❤❤Always the King of the stage in my heart!

      brenda burditt I agree so much. Whitney sapped his energy and swag. He thought she was the star, but Bobbi was perfection. Dancing and singing, where Whitney was one dimensional, Bobbi was multifaceted. So many people give up their identity for love. My entire modeling career was shot because my man turned to alcohol and I couldn't leave him.

  • @karmaneshaspraglin2813
    @karmaneshaspraglin2813 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I look at the first performance and man I think how Bigger he should have been in the 90s dominating and perfecting his craft.. see Bobby wasn’t a one dimensional brother he could dance and YES he could sing and he had the command of the stage presence and he could rap he ushered in that era where now artist do it but they didn’t back then. I honestly think in my opinion he should be up there with MJ when it comes to dancing he brought a street hip hop edge to dancing. Don’t get me started on his gyrating cuz baby👀🤣 i see why the ladies was hooked and wanted to know what was up. Also interviews he spoke very well. He also can act as we learned later on but he definitely should have been dominating 90s and 2000s. I love him and Whitney’s love because they had it but man she drained his energy and took his attention. His focus should have stayed on his music. His other albums I love but I definitely think he waited to long after don’t be cruel to present another project which hurt him. I’m still and will always be a fan. People say Rkelly is King but Bobby is and will always be the original innovator and King to me he brought swag before we knew what is was sex appeal raunchy aggressive and raw talent. So many have been influenced by him.. especially Rkelly look at all his early videos especially with public announcement. Usher definitely was and Chris Brown is the baby version of him🤣🤣 I wish we give this man his flowers forreal and honor and recognize him more he mad moves back then that a lot of artist didn’t and he also didn’t paint this glamour picture around him he was from hood and was being himself no sugarcoating I loved that about him. Also baby Bobby had some moves and sex appeal like none other. Much love and respect to him
