I can't believe that after all these years all the fans shipping them together were right. I always thought that they had a special kind of chemistry, i have the same energy with one of my closest friends, so i didn't really consider this to be real
I personally have a similar chemistry with my boyfriend, and that's one of the main reasons I suspected that they're not just platonic friends. The chemistry was subtle but noticeable enough.
When you add the fact that they (Shayne and Courtney) have similar life goals, values, and interests, and match the criteria they have for partners, it's no wonder that things led where they are now.

@@samstarba4569same, i’m a newer viewer and i noticed the chemistry through the screen, like how courtney “bullies” shayne flirtingly, i do that with boys too THAT I LIKE, idk if she does it to anyone else but i’m pretty sure she doesn’t.
It’s so great to see them together, and so great that they had friends who were willing and able to keep quiet about this for YEARS.
Not just quiet, they actively helped to cover in moments when maybe it came out. They also probably had to do reshoots of some things at times because of moments where there were slips, and the editors had to do it too. They had a whole team rooting for them to make sure that no one could take away what was happening it's so sweet

On April 2nd when Courtney posted more stuff and there were more pics and stuff then I was fairly positive it was real. I was still a little confused. They could be the type of ppl to wait until the end of April 2 to reveal it was a prank. Once it was April 3rd that basically confirmed it for me
i love how they've never been mad at fan seeing them in the wild, lol. they always look so happy to be taking the photos. those cuties, now let's give them the space they've asked for
i feel like its obvious theyve never really tried to hide it too much, but they mainly just didnt broadcast it online, which i think is really awesome of them. they share so much of their lives online for us already, and theyre not hiding anything, just enforcing healthy boundaries which i think is so awesome. heres to them:)

@@Sweetcheeks243The prank was posting a real thing on April 1st. At this point if it wasn't real, there would be actual backlash and people would be genuinely upset and it would not be good for Smosh as a company. It's no longer an issue of privacy, it would just be a lie about their legal status.
I mean, they were up to a point. The shippers were hounding them since 2016. They didn’t get together until 2019.
@@malcolm2553 I was friends/ roommates with my husband for 3 years before we started dating too. I think we only had 1 friend that even knew we were even friends for the first year and a half. For some reason we never mentioned each other to our mutuals. One of those "never came up" things.

It may have started out as trying to keep it just friends, not wanting to change the dynamic. But as someone who isn't necessarily a diehard fan, it's been obvious that they both have chemistry, are totally comfortable with each other, and also wanted it to be private for as long as possible. Wishing them the best, as well as all of the cast and crew of smosh
The crazy thing is, had they not literally announced their marriage, ALL of these moments would have been explained away by the anti-Shartney fans or even people like me who gave up on the ship after they repeatedly said how uncomfortable it made them😅💀.

Even as the person who made it, yes 😬 but the excitement of it actually being real made me put all of the things that already existed in one spot. It’s like finding out unicorns exist!! And would have never made it before it being confirmed as real.

100%. i believe it’s one OF the reasons they kept it quiet, but i also believe that most of their lives are put out front for smosh, and this was their way of having their own private space. i’m sure they didn’t want people examining their lives together and talking about it so much when it was just a relationship, not a marriage. it saddens me to hear that people went to their families’ accounts to try and figure out if this was real or not the day of release, because i think that really was a boundary crossed. i’ll happily watch compilations of shourtney moments now, knowing that they’ve been happy together this whole time, but i refuse to go anywhere beyond what they have posted whether it be smosh or their own personal accounts 🤷♀️

When they did that one video with a fortune teller with those cards and stones runes, I felt like the guy wasn't completely telling the truth, he probably saw they were going to end up together but understood how awkward it would be if he told them that and that it would probably ruin the growing relationship between them. Smart move fortune guy, he figured it out with magic, haha.
When he looked down at the cards and said "NOT IN THIS ROOM", why was he so specific, could've just said "is not here" or "you haven't met them yet" if it were so but nope, hahaha.
