    Welcome back everyone! I want to thank you all so much for the caring messages I have received over the past week regarding being sick. I’m happy to share that I’m feeling so much better now and was able to edit this video for you all to enjoy! I’ll explain more in my next video but for now, hope you enjoy and don’t forget to answer today’s question of the day!

    My first expo I came home with my first valid chameleon. I loved going to them so much it was a dream to have my own booth with my crested geckos. Which I have finally achieved after the long covid shut down and having way too many gecko hatching to take care of lol. My favorite part of having my own booth is being able to teach people about my geckos and seeing someone's face after they have pet one for the very first time. Also one of my personal favorite parts of being a breeder is when I get updates from the people who have gotten geckos from me and seeing how well and happy they are in their new homes.

    Went to one expo in my life pretty recently. Was absolutely amazing! I loved it! I was able to rescue, free of charge, a leopard gecko. He was found in a yard while the home owner was mowing the grass. He had no tail and just a couple toes. He was either released or lost. He is now living an awesome life, his color turned a beautiful orange and he grew back a tail. He needs special care with his toes when shedding. But he just seems so happy to be alive. I love him.

    QOTD: This summer I went to a reptile show in Washington state, in the US. I was really disappointed! There wasn’t much of a variety of reptiles. A lot of ball pythons and corn snakes. I want to travel to a reptile show like this one, and see a bunch of plants and animals. The biggest thing we picked up was my spouses new obsession with tarantulas! They absolutely fell in love, and we’ve been doing research on the best tarantula(s) for us ever since.

    Great video and purchases! I went to my first expo recently and I love it! Picked up the only Ceratophrys ornata in the expo (exactly the species that I wanted) and some supplies for his tank. Paid 5 euros for some Isopods and the cool vendor gave me three doses! (although basically none made it home because I made a mistake). I had a blast! Hoping to go to the next expo near me in February and others in the future (also had to control myself not to bring home a pair of Sunbeam snakes, they are too gorgeous)!

      Thank you so much! C. ornata is my favourite frog in the genus! It’s funny you mention them because I’ve been seriously itching to own one again 😅! Such awesome animals!
      Ooooo sunbeam snakes are so cool! It’s nice to see they are finally being bred because the wc are very hard to acclimate.

      @@Reptiliatus I love that genus! Hope to own a cornuta in the future aswell! But first probably a tiger salamander! For now I am in love with my ornata and his tank! He/she is in a bioactive so I'm really enjoying seeing the plants grow and him/her getting bigger! The Sunbeam snakes, I suspect that they were wc actually because of the low price (unfortunately)... On my list is also some dragons like you have but they are rare CB here in Portugal and I preferred to get one CB. They seems amazing and interesting creatures! But I will only get them when I have all the best conditions to attempt at breeding them, for conservation.

    very off topic question but i am curious about getting some dart frogs. The flightless fruit flies are super tiny, when feeding them to dart frogs do they ever crawl out of the tanks through ventilation holes? I cant wait for Rexpo in 2 weeks! im bringing a backpack because I plan on buying so much lol

    • @Reptiliatus
      @Reptiliatus  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should be okay. In all honesty, you’ll have a few flies escape here and there but most of the time it isn’t bad. The new exo terra frogs and co tanks do a good job of keeping them in!

    sadly here where i live i Dubai there are no reptile expo or even shops that sell reptiles except with the exception of bearded dragons ,leopard geckos and a few species of snake . since i was a little kid it was my dream to have crested geckos and it took me 7 year to have one!!that's how rare they are! then one day i went in my local pet shop and they had some pretty unhealthy crested(all males and all extremely expensive 400$+they are just normal morphs nothing fancy ..) so i decided to buy one and now its been 4 years since i bought him and he is perfectly healthy .a few days ago i found a Facebook group and lucky enough i found someone that was selling a male and a female ,so i drove to his location and picked them up , when i arrived home i noticed that the male that he sold me seems to be deformed or has MBD,but the female is perfectly healthy and so i am going to pair her with my older male and hopefully i they can produce some beautiful babys that i can sell (i will only keep the females and one more male) and hopefully i can expend the crested gecko business in dubai 😅
