Man oh man, I'm in love. Reminds me of cox Estes days (Yea I'm old). That plane is literally the sweat spot of beginner and intermediate. Might have to pick up one or two for me and my buddy.

The “bixler” style planes are usually very beginner friendly, I wish you could still get the one i started on back when we used fm radios that required plugging in a different crystal to change frequencies for flying with other people.
It was dirt cheap back then but these days only the more expensive models seem to use flexible plastic for the fuselage which helped make it very durable even in the worst.crashes. It was so docile and easy to fly, even though they didn’t have FCs, that I over estimated my skill as a pilot, I got myself a beautiful scale warbird and trashed it 30 seconds into the maiden flight 😂

Looks like a good starter plane for people that have nothing, like no controller. My nephew has a toy eachine Quadcopter with box goggles. He loves flying, This would be a great option for him. He could learn to fly planes, install a aio fvp cam and fly fpv. For a very reasonable price.
For fpv pilots who already have a controller I think something like the Zohd Drift or Dart250G may be a better option . And there's an fpv version. Takes more effort to get flying, but you get to use your controller of choice.
Sure there's a lot of good options out there for DIY folks. However, those two planes I would never fly in a small park with people. This 80g AUW wing actually is a candidate for that... this is why I'm interested to mod it for FPV. Also, I found the protocol that works with the built-in receiver.

Pretty cool. It's a maybe for me. I'll see if the price comes down about $10 or so in a couple months. I'm still waiting for the weather to get better so I can fly my Eachine F-22. Got it right before winter hit. Spring won't be long thankfully.

The protocol to bind this to a multiprotocol radio is the MT99XX protocol using the MT99 subprotocol
There is now a Dragon subtype of the MT99XX protocol especially for this plane, provided by Pascal Langer.

hi are there any 2cell battery's with the same connector that you would recommend as I have a slightly different plane but I discharged the battery too much and am looking for a new one.
How much weight does it have?
80g AUW with battery.
If you could ID the protocol so a different radio could be used, I would be interested in FPV if its feasible.
It the MT99XX protocol
MT99XX protocol, Dragon subtype. You can now get a readout of the flight battery voltage while it is in flight, and/or set a low voltage alarm, using the OpenTX telemetry capabilities. See my rcgroups thread for a lot more detail.
hi: you take off the land gear, will it be easier to fly inverted? Will it fly inverted? htx.
I'm not sure this frame will fly inverted because it lacks the power.
The problem with the flight on higher settings is the lack of exponent settings. Either the Chinese don't understand exponent settings or just don't believe in exponent settings or both.
