My dad had one of these in 1990 as a company car, he thrashed the hell out of it! At the time I was 14 or 15 and my sister was 11 or 12, we were both in the car and he was giving it the beans. We hit a lumpy section of road, and for a brief second we had all four wheels off the ground ~ amazing feeling!
I remember my grandads GLS which had the same drive train as this but just the toned down 'family' styling and trim. Always remember him telling me to look out for police while cruising at well over a ton on the A1 in it 😂

Absolutely superb Sierra for a 1990 example it's just a pity who ever drives it still can't pull up whitout hitting the kerb. Probably a lot younger than the car lol

I also remember the high performance one off Ford Sierra XR4x4i that they brought out, had the same high performance 2.9 litre engine albeit fuel injected hence the 'i' designation on the end of 4x4 as well as the four wheel drive and it could go like shit off a shovel.

I was always unsure what I loved best my 2.8i Capri or my 4x4 Sierra so I loved them both the same.
