- Take a tour of my cozy Christmas cabin. I took advantage of a blustery November day to get my interior decorations done. Thanks to the animals (Phoenix, Remi & Rein) for the help!

Alberta certainly is home to some very talented and wonderful people. A few years ago I was looking for dude ranching job in Nevada. The job postings were on a tooled piece leather with a beautiful background song. I called the ranch and they told me the artist was Ian Tyson and the song was "Somewhere in the Rubies." I fell in love with his song about the Mustangs " La Primera." He even wrote a children's book with that title. He also lived a very unassuming life on his ranch in Alberta. I have a few western movies, and sometimes they come in 10 or 12 on 2 discs. The first one I watched was "Nothing's Too Good For A Cowboy." A great story about a couple of cowboys who met at a ranch in Wyoming. They embarked on an epic journey to Canada. Of all things put together a four and a half million acre ranch. I read the book with the same movie title, as well as, The Grass Beyond the Mountain and The Rancher takes a Wife. I really appreciate Alberta, Heartland, and all of you hard-working Canadian Ranchers.

Amber it is so refreshing to see how simple of a life you live. Love your cabin and it’s nice of you to share your home life with everyone. You make me so welcome and like I’m on Heartland. I am a huge Heartland fan and I love watching the seasons over again. I live in North Carolina and waiting impatiently for season 15 to get here. I try not to pay attention too much on yours and Michelle’s Instagrams accounts because i don’t want any spoilers. You are truly an inspiration! Hope you have a Merry Christmas. I too echo what Linda said. Unpretentious, cozy and comfy. You can see your beautiful personality in how you live, and the love you and Shawn have for each other. Thank you for sharing, and for being you.
Simple? Inside the vlog it's simple but she actually has to make the vlogs and that isn't simple, and she acts in a huge show as the main character, and has a huge life on the farm. I don't think simple is the word.
season 15 im looking forward to also. I had a Heartland Christmas with some great HL Gifts.

Absolutely stunning. Not only can I feel the warmth of the fire I can also smell the wood burning. I can certainly see why you and hubby decided to build. Such a natural way of life. Reminds me so much of my childhood. Merry Christmas to both of you and of course all the animals.

Amy your christmas cabin is really beautiful,lovely and oh so cozy and I love the pets and the warm fireplace with a nice warm fire with a preventive screen to prevent a fire
I love the cozy, rustic look of your cabin. Your decorating style is similar to mine. I love watching Heartland over and over, especially the older seasons because they have 18 episodes. I enjoyed season 15 too.

Quite beautiful! I literally thanked God that you, Shawn and your feathered and furry family were all unharmed in the storm. I hope your neighbors were unharmed as well. When you were checking on your horses, I do admit I got a bit concernd for my favorite, Finch, for he wasn't in view that seems for a long time.😒 Sorry to see all the repairs and clean up that is needed done. What a beautiful Canadian homestead! Thanks for sharing your warmth and simplicity, what Canadians are all about. My mom and I used to watch Heartland (and all reruns) together but she's in a home now at 93. I miss watching this with her in a home built with love by my parents in the Laurentians, a beautiful cedar A-frame German-style home filled with warmth. Beautiful memories. 🎄🎀❤🥰🤗🐎
