    just got mine for $1199. love it! could use new pedals but not terrible. however the saddle is absolutely horrible!!!!! changed it and everything is great!!!!

      Yes, that saddle is a little rough on the bottom. Most of them are at that price point. I'm glad you found one that works for you and that you are enjoying the ride. Thank you for watching and adding to the conversation.

    I pre-order that color 2022 Trek X Caliber 8 on Sept 2, 2021 for delivery around January 2022. Is there anyway I can get my Trek shop to get in contact with you to speed the process up?

    • @GetOutArizona
      @GetOutArizona  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately I do not have thing kind of pull with Trek. From what I understand orders are sent out on a random allocation. However, I hear that things are easing up a bit with production. Hopefully this mean people will receive their orders just a bit sooner.

    Is there a converter kit available to upgrade the quick release to thru axle?

    • @GetOutArizona
      @GetOutArizona  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question and thank you for asking. Unfortunately, no, there is no conversion kit for the quick release. You have to purchase a higher tier model to get the through axles.

      Great question, and thank you for asking. You should be fine. Have your local shop look up the table for the correct PSI for your weight, set that PSI, ride, and adjust as needed. I've seen that shock handle 250lbs, rider, and pack combined and do just fine.

      @@GetOutArizona Thank you for answer. I used road bikes in my life. This is the first mtb I will use. Maybe is not necessary to use a protection on lower frame tube, only Im afraid about small rocks they will fly from front wheel by ride. But anyway the bike is made for riding xc and not to care it like "diamond". Its entry level mid range bike and I bought it for 1100 eur new one. Trek has now discounts in TrekFest in Europe. I like Arizona very much and my dream is to see this us state one day. I will watching your channel, because is very interesting.

    $1900 Canadian and Trek can't even offer me a rear thru axle? What's with using 141mm quick release rear hubs? Nobody sells upgrades or replacement except OEM Formula for Trek. While the rest of the industry uses 148mm thru axle hubs...Oh forgot, it's about big corporation selling stocks to their investors. Not about riding an overpriced bike that was made overseas for like....$175 bucks...

      “I wouldn’t trust a pack of kids with Down syndrome riding the trails not to get hurt”

    • @GetOutArizona
      @GetOutArizona  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Daniel Gangur I said several things in this episode that may have offended people. So when I asked what it was that was offensive to you, I was being sincere.
      Now, referring to the comment about Down Syndrome. I was illustrating the horrible build quality of a Walmart or Amazon built bike, not disparaging children who have Down Syndrome. I believe that the context was quite clear. I can see where some would misinterpret this statement as a slight against children, or adults, afflicted with the disorder but they would be mistaken. I can assure you, there was no intention of malice.
      That being said, I do, at times have an unorthodox way of making my point. Because of my approach, at times, some people take offense which I cannot control. I will, once again, with sincerity, say thank you for your comment. Your ability to voice your disdain for my dialogue, without hostility, is appreciated.

    • @TheArizonaHooligan
      @TheArizonaHooligan 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for your input. Yes, other big brands use thru-axles on the medium tier and top tier models. However, just like Trek, other big brands still use skewer quick-release hub sets to reduce costs on their entry-level bikes.
