Just found your channel. Instant subscribe 'cuz you two are a delight. Whenever I am once again faced with the incredible amount of historical markers scattered all over England, I am reminded that despite my own country's, er I mean colony's (heh) rich history it only a fifth or less of the history of England! You must have developed some sturdy legs in all your walking!
Thanks so much. That is kind of you to say. We hope you enjoy catching up with our travels over the last few years. Lots more still to share. We are blessed with so much history to look at and discover. Have a good week.
Berwick looks to be a loverly town. The town hall is an amazing structure. I especially enjoyed the bits of the Lowery Trail. I can't say that I had ever heard of him. But I rather enjoyed his unique perspective. I am enjoying this series quite a bit. Hope you two have a great weekend and week. Cheers!
Thankyou. Yes Berwick was lovely. Lowry was my favourite artist growing up and still is. There is a theatre and gallery in Manchester named after him. Check this song out. It is about his life and art and is one of the first records I bought th-cam.com/video/pFafPqsW3Cg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=lyLOKkjzCpfSUwPM Off to tge Lake District for a week tonight. A book of research sorted to film for videos later in the year.
Sorry butter in cold toast is wrong and needs to see a specialist as they can treat it these days 😂 Parking is weird as it’s still all on good faith but seems to work We liked Berwick I have to say Wow that’s some crappy weather
Interesting about Lowery, until now I just associated him with Salford. I remember learning about him at Junior school when the song was probably in the charts.
One of the first records I bought that one. As a kid I always liked his paintings and still do. You are right though. I also never thought more of him than Salford. Hope you are well.
@@CampervanTales We won’t mention how many years ago the record was out. I’m great thanks, just had van repaired so off away this weekend for a couple of rainy days at the coast. Hope you guys are well too.
Hello 🙋♂️. Hope you two are good 🕺🕺 !! A dreich, dreich day of inclement horrible wet weather !! I was struggling to hear you pronounce your narration at times as both your mouths 👄 sounded frozen 🥶 stiff with regard the temperature !! Berwick unfortunately looked a tad tired and rundown - like most towns these days. Could do with a splash 💦 of paint 🎨 to liven it up. It reminded me of passing a very old lonely pensioner - crippled arch back, complete with dark clothing, walking stick and cap, shuffling along with their head stuck deep inside their collar hiding, whilst out shopping with their meagre pension pennies 👀 looking for some vegetables 🥕 🥦🧅 to take home 🏠 and make soup 🍜 to try and heat themselves up !! Surprised you both haven’t put out an additional couple of YT VIDS per week - to try and catch up and sync the seasons with the current seasonal climate we are in with regard your YTV. I know you are a couple of months behind - however - at this rate, we will be back in the winter ❄️ weather before we get to the summer editions of your amazing travels !! Thanks 🙏 Take care and stay safe 🫶 James ✌️
We are good thanks James. When we went up to Northumberland we always planned to film it as a longer stretch of videos. We now break them down in to sections of around 20 to 25 minutes as we were getting complaints about videos being too long. It suits us well as it means we don't constantly have to go out with a video camera. In fact a couple of weeks ago is the first time since Christmas where we filmed anything apart from a couple of reviews, which gave us time to concentrate on our other hobbies that often get sidelined. The other reason is that editing takes so long. Each 20 - 25 minute video plus the coming up 2 minutes (ish) video take two full evenings a week after work. Plus now we are concentrating on trying to give a bit of history in the videos we spend time researching in an evening too. We are away for a week starting tonight and will be filming again which should mean we have videos in the bank up to Autumn. Then we are away in Scotland for two weeks in October which should give us enough footage to take us in to early summer 2025. Hope that makes sense.

@@CampervanTales have a great weekend/week! I’m pleased that you two are getting out for a little holiday! Cheers!
Lovely summer weather in this one. Have you gone rusty yet?
Nowt the WD40 can't fix🤣
Bit wet n windy 😮 I do both, butter on when hot, let it cool a bit then add a thick layer on top 😋 Nice little place, interesting history on Lowery. ❤
Thankyou. We were pleased to find the Lowry connection there. We are both fans of his art.
Looks like your weather was like ours, Darren had to check why Berwick is in the Scottish football league when it's not in Scotland.... 😂
Lol. Oh these border towns are there to confusticate us😁xx

It wasn't the best weather. I'm trying to get him to alter his foul toast activities. 20 years and I'm not there yet!

@@dieselbushcraft1299 yep good thanks. Heading up to the Lakes tonight for a week. Got some videos to make lol. Have a good weekend on your travels.
I recently enjoyed watching the film Mrs Lowry and Son, starring Timothy Spall and Vanessa Redgrave. 👍
Yep that is a good film. Growing up I always liked his paintings.😀
Typical Berwick day that
