Guys, if we tell you to watch certain videos with eng subs it's because it's very important for understanding the storyline ...I'm talking abt the script (they talk in some videos as you can see)In the mirror RM wrote "we need to survive". And the video you watched was probably the one Bighit changed the end...if you watch the one with eng subs you'll see the ending scene which is very important too.
Next it's Run( you don't need the subs) but for the wings short films and the highlight reel the subs are extremely important!!

Sara Koizumi Yes! BigHit cut the old ending to Prologue when they were hinting at an era change. I highly suggest finding an old eng subbed version and watching the clip at the end. It’s a pretty fun clue as to what is happening in the storyline.
yeah guys you need the subs because not every video in this storyline is a music video so there will be talking so you need to understand it, also make sure you search up for subbed versions and not auto-generated ones because they aren't accurate that's just the video trying to find English words even though they are speaking Korean 😂

Actually the original video has something at end. But BigHit remove it.
At the original video you will see the picture of Jin and suga took by RM at the gas station but in the picture suga was not there it was jin alone.
And then the picture of all them together at the see leaning the car there is one member is missing.
So lote of theories saying that the member was not actually there.
It was all jin's imagination.
That's why in the picture at the gas station he was alone.and that's why he's taking pictures all the time.
Actually, BigHit deleted the original video. On the original video of prologue, the ending part of this is Jin alone in his car and he checked the picture of him and Yoongi that Namjoon took on the gas station and Jin sees that he's alone on the Polaroid (which he shouldn't be alone because as we all saw it, he took it with Yoongi). I don't know why BigHit deleted that part and replaced that video with this but yeah... You can check the clip from other channels. Someone uploaded it.

There actually was something at the end of the vid but bighit removed the clip for some reason and reposted the video without it. It's a small scene of Jin in the truck by the water. He reaches into the glove compartment to look at the pic Namjoon took of him and Yoongi but when he stares down at it you see that Yoongi is misteriously missing from the picture.
A lot of us were wracking our brains for theories over that small scene. 😭😭😭😂😂😂

As much as I understand and love your desire to appreciate the videos for what they are, without subtitles, these ones with actual talking (not MV's) are necessary for the plot of the storyline. Everything they say is a hint regarding the storyline, by not reading them you will miss out on key components and clues that will help you in the storyline later, to figure out what's going on.
You guys are incredible people, not just reactors. I appreciate you taking the time to really get to know BTS and their music, the people behind the scenes and your desire to always learn more. Your reactions are always the highlight of my day, after hours of work. Thank you so much. I hope you and your beautiful little ones are doing well.

These pairs are something you should watch out for, because their stories connect in some ways, in the future videos you'll notice these pairs I hope :)

Oh I do the same thing. I always watch the videos first time with no subtitles to experience all the visual and emotion they put in then I go a second time with the subtitles on.
In relation to I Need You, Jin holds a picture in the prologue and asks J-Hope, “Should we go here?” Where is here? The end of the video should tell you exactly where Jin is talking about.
He’s the oldest, so there’s a natural sense of looking for those who are younger. You see him with the camcorder and the Polaroid camera.
Next, all the boys play like young kids, oblivious of the real world and joyful, while Jin keeps documenting everything. Through the imagery of childlike playfulness and their surroundings (a “Neverlandesque” forest), they are evidently referencing the Lost Boys of Neverland.
They all sit down by the pier and watch the sun rise: it’s a new day, and possibly the start of a new life; V takes a look around and silently decides that it’s probably a good time to part ways with his youth. Resolved, he puts his black hood on (a symbol for adulthood throughout the HYYH cycle), just like he did at the start of I NEED U. He climbs up on top of the large pontoon towering them and overviewing the wide, open sea of the unknown. Jin just watches V silently, recording the scene as he did before at the pool site. This is also a reenactment from the last scene in I NEED U.
The rest of the boys, stunned and scared, try to tell V to come down but he just softly smiles back at them as if not to worry. He looks anxious nonetheless, but eventually finds the courage to do what he’s been set on doing all along. He then jumps off the platform, and into the sea while the Butterfly song plays in the background.
The Prologue started at the pool site with V symbolically killing his father by creasing the picture of them together while V was still a toddler. But V was not ready just yet to leave youth behind and accept the consequences of his actions, hence why we see him pondering over what to do next while looking over the horizon from the diving platform (should he jump into the unknown, or should he stay safe in youth?). He then keeps revisiting his youth during the whole Prologue, coming to terms little by little with what he has (or had) to do and trying to find the strength to leave it all behind.

I know you guys want to focus on the video. But, i think its more detail with subs.
maybe for the MVs you can watch first without sub and after that you want to watch it with subs its your choice guys.
But for the prologue, short film and Highlight Reel, i recommended you need to watch it with subs. Cause the narrative in that videos not fast so you can keep up and understand what the meaning of the videos.
you need to focus on the pairings of the members too. Its make a lot easier for you guys to breakdown their story.

Okay I’m back with enough to help but no spoilers.
So notice how every is in pairs:
Suga and Jungkook (at the pier sitting)
Jimin and Jhope ( jhope puts blanket on Jimin)
V and RM (rm helps v up from the mattress)
Jin is recording everything and is often staring blankly into space
You will notice the pairings in the next video too. This is important to the storyline so look out for these pairs moving forward. That’s all I’ll say for now because no spoilers
Also, notice the picture and how Suga and Jin. Remember that
Just letting you guys know that there used to be a scene at the end where Jin looks at the picture that him and Suga took in the car and there is nobody in the picture other than him. This scene was deleted by BIGHIT on the offical video. You’ll come to understand why they go and delete certain scenes or change things up later on in the storyline but I’m sure you can find the original scene on TH-cam somewhere. :)
Oh my God I was wondering if I imagined that scene where he was looking at the picture and it was only him as I couldn't remember where I saw that scene and I can't find it in any song either. Why did BH delete it and when did they do that??

So what happened in this Prologue with no spoilers:
-Aftermath of V killing his dad, he's now coming to reality with what happened and obviously scared.
-He calls RM(as you saw rm was the one pulling him up off the mattress) and RM tells the other boys so they all meet up at the swimming pool to cheer him up. Remember this V and RM pairing for future reference
-There is also the camping scene where they were in front of the fire and no Kate this fire is not connected to the one in need you it just a normal campfire 😂😂 but what was connected is the lighter that Suga kept flicking during the same scene. As you saw Jungkook tried to blow it out.
Take note of the lighter and also this pairing of Suga and Jungkook. We also saw them together when the boys were by the sea and the two were sitting on the bridge just them two.
-You saw Jhope cover Jimin with the blanket at the gas station. Another important pair.
-Yes it was Jin's idea to go to the sea

tesokmin I would recommend watching ALL the videos in the story line before starting the webtoon.
There was a very important ending scene but bight deleted the video and uploaded a new one with nothing. There was a reason as to why they deleted it as well. When the time came that something happened in the future, this past no longer exist and so the ending scene was deleted. The action of deleting it was part of the whole storyline as well, it was a crazy move. But for you guys who don't understand where this is going yet, that ending scene was important. It was basically of Jin sitting alone in the car and taking out the polaroid picture that RM took. He looks at the picture happily but his smile gradually disappears as he realises that Suga, who was also supposed to be in the picture, wasn't there. It shows that he was the only one in that whole road trip, alone, the other members wasn't there at all
Subtitles can be distracting, thats understandable, but in some videos throughout the storyline the captions ARE needed because theres dialogue. Without it, you won't understand what the members are saying to each other and context of the setting their in.
You can turn off captions in cases like their music videos (ex: I Need U because the lyrics have nothing to do with the storyline), but during their short films like this one or the wings short films, captions are going to have to be turned on since, apart from dialogue, there is also going to be korean text on the screen and it's very important for you guys to know the translation of it otherwise you'll get lost throughout the story.
again, *PLEASE DO NOT* watch these short films from their official youtube channel because they:
1. don't provide translations and 2. have deleted the ending scene for this video which is why nothing came out at the end. Youre going to have to watch it from another channel to watch the ending scene.

The piano piece they use at the beginning of the prologue is a known classical music piece called "Clair de Lune" by French composer Claude Debussy th-cam.com/video/CvFH_6DNRCY/w-d-xo.html it means "light of the Moon" or "Moonlight" in french.
1) V let his anger out and killing his father to save his sister from his father abusing her all the time.
2) J-hope have narcolepsy, which is a sleep disorder. That why he need to take those pills.
3) Suga have depression...
4) Jungkook didn't fight back in I Need U because everything is already fall apart for all members, he didn't bother and feel lifeless. He then walking down the street and got hit by a car.
5) About Jimin, you guys will found out later in ("Save Me" the story in the app webtoon)
6) Same for RM and Jin, you will found out about him in ("Save Me" the story)
With V, it was his Dad he killed because he was abusing his sister (and him) and he finally had enough. V's (his character) Mom left them when he was little.

So in I Need U, it tell you what currently happen in the storyline. Then in Prologue, it tell you what happen after I Need U. V is the one who calling RM in the beginning then they all meet up at the fireplace. The picture Jin showing them is the beach where they all hangout before everything bad happen. And Jin asking them "Should we go there", so they are going back to the beach where their happy memories taking place. Plus the ending clip showing Jin looking at the photo that RM taking of Jin and Suga during the gas-station, but then Jin smile faded as he didn't saw Suga in the photo.

Hey you guys love the reaction cant wait for you to not just see and read the whole story line. A big chunk of the storyline will be answered in a webtoon Bighit released just a couple of months ago, but they've left more unanswered questions typical of them Lol....For this video there was a last scene in the end after the credits of Jin sitting in his truck looking our into the ocean and he opens the glove compartment and looks at the picture that RM took of him and Suga only to find out he wasn't in it only Suga. Bighit deleted that part. I'm not sure when or why it's a mystery Haha.

This is why I can't call myself a true ARMY even though I've known them for about 2.5 yrs. It's my first time seeing this video and recently found out from you guys' video that there is an order to watch BTS MVs. I do fangirl over BTS and watch their videos whenever I have time, but I still don't know them well like a true ARMY. Anyways, I got little emotional and about to tear up a little right when Josh paused @ 16:44 (felt like my tears retracted back my tear glands as soon, lol) I think Kate too seemed like she was about to tear up a little.
Like actually don't try to connect this to Euphoria because you guys still didn't watch other videos in between, so it may be confusing because Euphoria is just summary of what happened not everything.
Okay there was 100% a scene after the credits in this video i swear. I'm so confused I literally have the version with the after credits scene on my computer. What happens: Jin is in the car at the beach (by himself) and reaches into the glovebox to take out the polaroid Namjoon put in there earlier. But when he looks at the photo his face drops because he realizes he's alone (he took the picture with Yoongi but Yoongi has disappeared from the photo)

I'm a little bummed that you saw Euphoria first, bc what happened in Euphoria either didn't happened in the Timeline of Prologue or was the "future".
In Prologue they are supposed to be around 19 but Euphoria is more complex.
You guys shouldn't be aware of some part, but I think either you are or not won't really matter in the end cause, you're lacking their background story to understand everything.
Anyway next one is Run. For Butterfly there's no MV and the focus is more on the lyrics.
I really can't wait to hear what you think Butterfly is about.
After Run, probably the Short Films from Wings (they will confuse you as hell lol) and the Highlight Reels (13min video), that are literally Films.

*Just letting u guys know that the pictures/polaroid that Jin took have big roles*...It is very important. You guys might be confused the MV's are not arranged thats why the thoery is hard to complete.
If u guys finished all the vids/MVs you can read the webtoon "Save Me" off cam. Also the scenarios are important to remember...The basement, firecamp, the piano, scaffolding, sea/water/tub, and JIN. Jin has the biggest role of all of them....
