Advantages of Chinese version: more realistic and pretty face and outfit details, soft animations, (Alpha looks more Metallic ) Disadvantages : No blood red color, no big boobs , abyss characters doesn't look like demons , unnatural censors. (but this is not a child game 🤦)
I don't know about these changes in the Chinese version. They literally removed the color red, made it orange or replaced it with blue and gave the demons human faces. Especially the one with Helcurt's splash art which is not in the video but I've seen it somewhere on an Instagram page. (The face is very horrible and gave me a whole jumpscare💀). I can understand them wanting to be more family friendly, but demons are demons and should have an evil look. Women have less revealing clothes in the Chinese version, but some are really unnecessary, like Esmeralda's clothes. It looks like she's wearing a thin towel and in my opinion they could give her at least a redesign on her clothes. Eudora is a good example for the clothes.
You need to understand that china is not like other country, their censorship is much more strict, any form of negativity is not permissible, the colour red is considered as black magic in their culture, hence the lack of red in magical or demonic creature. It is excessive but china is just like that

Some of these designs are actually a revamp of their looks, like johnson, saber and the current 8 heroes revamp model. And i think some of them are gonna release later this year, but i don't think they will release the china ver. Globally ofcourse it's gonna cause of an uproaor if they did that. But yes some of these are the "actual" revamp of the models
