It is very cool to hear you started back up again and now are introducing your kids to skating! I only had gone skating as a kid maybe 3 times until Jazmine wanted to try it when I was 40. Nice tutorial. This is one of my favourite skate moves 🙌🏽. That backwards to forwards part of the move is definitely the sticking point for a lot of skaters. It's also worth practicing balancing on the spot on you toes in this pigeon toe / knees towards each other position. And also rolling into this positon from a heel flare and back to toe flare. I found these drills helped me to build comfort and strength in this position. Then following on from that, as you mentioned, practicing this backward to forward part in motion ✌🏽

Good breakdown! I've got to start practicing this again-it's on my jam bucket list, but I've got a lot of work to do to unlock it!
