Hello Beautiful 😍💐 these guys came in clutch for us! FFF 😍🙌🏼🤸🏼♀️🥰💐 good almost evening, meine liebe Freundin! The blue sky day was exploited to get some footage of these blooms, or else I would not have had any while it was dry 😅 you can see by the earlier footage of the exile, how dull it was and the camera just saw everything grey. I don't like to put filters on my footage to enhance the green so, it looks yuck, but then on the second flush, I did have some sun late morning, and it was NOW or NEVER 😅 really appreciate you watching, amiga mia! I appreciate your support so much. Hope you are having a relaxing day and that the weather is playing along making everything pleasant 🫶🏼❤️🌸
Gorgeous blooms. Bright sunny day and blooms must be so nice after your ‘inclement’ weather!!!! A rubber snake as in a kids toy placed near or on the mount should keep the birdies away from tender roots. Have a wonderful day. Love and blooms 💕🌺
Debbiiieeee, hi 😍💐 your are absolutely right in your observations that these blooms are so nice after what we have been through and the aftermath of still dealing with 'stuff'! I am so grateful that they still bloomed for us, despite low light levels 🥹🙌🏼 I am going to buy that rubber snake thing!! Yes!! Oh my goodness, that is a great idea 👍🏼💡thank you, so much! I have this problem every year with the young ones, and I will get a second one to place into the deep south, because I have the black birds picking at the moss from my kimballianum, exposing the roots that grew into the moss... until they realize there are not worms in that moss either. But the damage is done. Would you like to give the snakes names? 😅 for real! I don't know when I am going to get around to buying them, but I will not forget who gave me that tip, ever 🥳 I will have to explain why I have rubber snakes in places, at least for a few videos 😂😂 genius, Debbie, thank you!! And thank you for watching, I appreciate your time. Wishing you a wonderful rest of your day as well 🫶🏼 love and blooms right back at you ❤️🌸
😍Good night, you wonderful friend! Thank you so much for your time watching and your kind comment. It warms my heart to see you here 🫶🏼 have a beautiful Sunday ❤️🌸
HI Sandra 😍💐 these have come through for us! Super grateful 🙏🏼😅 thank YOU so much for watching and keeping fingers crossed that I can show some Dinard blooms... they may be small, but hopefully there will be a couple 🤞🏼 hope you are already having a beautiful weekend, lovely lady! I appreciate you 🫶🏼❤️🌸
Your enthusiasm for orchids is encouraging me to continue in this hobby. My mini-phal is on it's last leg or should I say, it's last leaf. It decided to absorb baby leaf #1. Baby leaf #2 has grown, it's now 7 mm and I still see a tiny triangular green node on the stem. The roots, that I can see are still green and firm... So, I continue watering her every other day. Was it last week when you released a video about how some orchids, just can't survive, no matter what you do? I've been pondering that video and I'm think she's one of those. She's 27 weeks in my care and she's never grown one root from the stem in that time. She's had a couple round nodes fail. One failed after about 1 mm. She's tried to branch a couple roots and failed. But most significantly, when I first got her, I took her out of that nasty plug, all of her root tips (the very tippy tip) were black. After some nutrients the black went away, but they never grew. So, I'm still waiting for her to do something (grow or die) before I get a new plant. You sound in good spirits and have recovered from your trauma. I'm glad you have blooms to brighten your days as you deserve all the best, lovely lady. Que te cuidas bien. Sending lots of love 💕 from sunny 🌞 Arizona 🌵 USA. Take care of yourself and each other 😷
HI Suzi Qutie 😍💐 I am sorry to hear that your charge seems to be on it's last legs. As you are still fighting for it, I really hope that what it has left will come through for you. Your space is warmer than mine and there is much more light 💪🏼 I appreciate your feedback on the tone of this video. When I post videos that are evergreens on the channel, I do my absolute best not to allow my voice to give any hints of what is going on, or how I truly feel. So, this feedback of your's is greatly appreciated 🫶🏼 I will be more candid on my stream tonight, and people are able to switch off if they want to 😅 really appreciate you watching, lovely lady, thank you so much! Hi Nina, I always pick up little tidbits of info from seeing your bloomers . Well done Nina. You have done a load of work since the floods. Tis the season for changes to Den Noblie care, could use a refresher course. Later Orchid Master. ❤🎉😢😊😅
🌸🥷🏼Bob San 😍🙌🏼🤸🏼♀🥰💐 good evening, from S'ern Spain, where the outside temperatures are mild enough for most of the orchids to be outside! 😮💨😅 the washing machine is a go, so that I can catch up with that stuff, and finish the back log. Things are looking somewhat normal, and I hope that 3rd time is a 'charm'... I just got done with this after the 2nd time, then it happened again, sooooo 🤞🏼 let's keep it this way! 😆 I can do a quick vid on Nobiles, absolutely. If you have any specific questions that you are thinking about when it comes to 'what was that again? how was that this time of year?' then please let me know 👍🏼I thought I was starting to get into the swing of things at my desk again, and was unpleasantly surprised that I had not had a Fun Fact Friday video edited AT ALL! I guess there is still some pieces of my brain malfunctioning. 🙄 one day at a time 💆🏼♀ thank you so much for your kindness, friendship and your time watching this video 🌸🥷🏼Cariño San! I hope your Friday is a FriYAY kind of day 🫶🏼❤🌸
@NinjaOrchids thank you Nina. Overall Nobile care. When to stop watering for winter rest, water if this happens, temps, changes in light, leaf drop or not, etc 🤔. Much love.
😍HI BeBe 💐 *cough, thank you!! 🥹🫣 thank you so much for being the catalyst. Without you, it would not have happened and I would have tried to get back to my videos, as if 'nothing had happened'. For what it is worth, and maybe it is a result of what you told me, I slept well last night 😆 I so appreciate you, lovely lady! At first I thought...oh boy! And now, I am still thinking 'oh boy!'. Stepped out of my comfort zone because of your gentle and understanding guidance. I am truly grateful to you and for having you be such a pilar of strength and encouragement. 🙏🏼 thank you! Also, thank you for watching this video, lovely lady 🫶🏼 wishing you a wonderful day and hopefully, by the time you read this, it already is 🫶🏼❤️🌸
Laura, hi 😍💐 the NOSE!! Some blooms really have a honker 😆😂 this one... I guess to make it proportionally acceptable to the lip, has a HUGE honker 😂 love it! 😘 thank you so much for watching, lovely lady! I hope that you are doing well 🫶🏼 appreciate your comments and the support so much 🫶🏼❤️🌸
🌸🥷🏼 Director Jose San 😍🙌🏼🤸🏼♀️🥰💐 my dear dear amigo!! These certainly were nice to have around when things were less than ideal, for sure! I hope that you are doing well 🫶🏼 that you are able to have a restful and fun day 🫶🏼 and I would kindly ask you to please say hello to your Princesses for me 🫶🏼🥰 thank you so much for watching, Gran Amigo Mio!! grüß dich NinJa 💃 Twiga 🦒 aaaahhhhh ....... Thank you for all the blooms 💐🌹🌺🌷🌸💮🏵️🌻🌼 my favourites are : Epi Gold Coast 💛❤️💛❤️💛❤️💛 I would call her : Fire Dance 🔥 and Good Life 💛💖💛💖💛💖
Meine Mona 😍💐 servus schöne Frau 🫶🏼 thank YOU so much for watching and for your inspired naming of the orchids in bloom in this video! Goodlife... yes, the reason I bought this orchid was because, at a very low time in my life, I had to keep reminding myself that there are memories which I need to keep in mind, that life was in actual fact good at one point. This orchid reminds me of that. 🥹 Now, please accept my apology for last night during the live stream! I was in mid flow, talking, when I saw your name come into the chat! I took a mental note to get back to you and say hello,....but never did! I scrolled back into the chat to address the chat after I thought I had finished what I wanted to say, and skipped you. I did not see your name as I was reading the comments, and for that I am truly sorry! Please forgive me. When I finished the stream, I was like 🤦🏼♀️ oh! my! goodness! Mona!! I did not say hi to Mona!! 😩 I am so so sorry! I hope you can forgive me for that! Thank you, for taking a moment out of your day to be there, I truly appreciate it and I hope I did not make you feel bad, unwelcome or in any way ignored 🙏🏼 if I did, I truly apologise for that as well!! You mean a lot to me and may omitting saying hi to you may have made you feel differently and for that I am truly sorry! Thank you, for taking time to be here, for last night and for your kindness throughout! I wish you the most beautiful of Sundays 🙏🏼🫶🏼❤️🌸
Stopped by to say hi. I enjoyed seeing all your lovely orchids. We had a dusting of snow this week. A preview of coming attractions. I’m not looking forward to winter 🥶. Take care.🥰🤗🌸💕
Hi Shirley 😍💐 I appreciate you so much for stopping by! Thank you!! oh... winter! I could talk for hours as to how much I am not a fan of winter, but I think you already know that. I feel you, I hear you and I am with you on that. I have always wanted to be a hedgehog for that reason 😬 stay warm, lovely lady, and have yourself a wonderful Sunday 🫶🏼❤️🌸
Hi Ninja Orchid Lady..😅 hopefully my internet will stay up so I can watch your Live at 10 am my time. We've been getting rain and wind like crazy here the past 3 days. I need to have Mike put his boat on standby, but luckily I'm in a second-floor apartment. 😂 Love your eye candy, and I'm jelly, yes I am both jiggly like jelly🫨 and jealous🫣 of your great blooms. OMG!! I JUST SAW A SPOT OF SUN!!!! 😎 Spoke to soon, the clouds are now removing it from sight. 🤨 I hope your weekend goes smoothly! Catch you later Ninadile..🐊 🪽🪽
🦤🦅😍 Wingman! I hear you when it comes to weather conditions and hoping the internet will hold! Well, I so appreciate you taking time out of your Saturday to come hang out because your internet was stable. Thank you so so much! Oh, the day that the sun came out was super busy because the patio needed stuff out to dry, but I needed to take pics and clips of the blooms while it was somewhat sunny. As you say,.... then it went. If you were referring to your sun showing through, I know that feeling as well, and the awwwhhh feeling when it disappeared. October and mid Nov 2024.... erase, delete, try to forget 😮💨💆🏼♀️ hope you are having a wonderful weekend, that your Sunday goes well with Fluff keeping you warm, cozy and snug! Thank you for all you do 🫶🏼❤️🌸
I saw the photo of "gold coast" and had to stop the video and appreciate those gorgeous blooms with their striking colour. This is still my favourite orchid and I'm hoping one day to find a mature plant somewhere. Thank you for showing us what you've had in bloom recently, enjoyed them all.
HI Renate 😍💐 I so appreciate you watching and leaving a comment! I wish I could read that you had found her, that you now also have her in your collection. All I can say is, keep looking. She is definitely worth it. All my orchids that can handle my low temps and low lights during the winter, are worth it, but this one, being a bifoliate, while she struggles with the low temperatures etc, has been better than the reputation that bifoliates come with. 🙏🏼 Thank YOU so much, lovely lady, for watching! I hope that your Monday was fabYOUlous and wish you a relaxing evening 🫶🏼❤️🌸
Hey, as always , your videos never disappoint ❤😊 love all the stunning blooms. It's always exciting waiting for these buds to open 🎉🎉🎉but yes, sometimes it is heartbreak when they blast. 2 of my seabreeze buds blasted...holding on to the 1 that's left. Fingers crossed, I get to see it bloom for the 1st time. Thank you for sharing your stunning collection ❤️.
😍HI! 💐 thank you so much for your kind and encouraging feedback! And for watching 🫶🏼 I appreciate the support so much! The heartbreak is so true, because you can see what you 'could have seen' as opposed to settling with what you get, so, I am sorry for the bud blast on your orchid. I will keep my fingers crossed that you will get to enjoy at least ONE bloom and relish in the fact that your orchid has the potential to bloom out completely, the next time around 🙏🏼🤞🏼 first time bloomers can really keep us glued to the buds because we just want to WILL them to open by staring at them 😅 I would love to know if the bloom opens and hear your thoughts, excitement. I will be looking forward to that video 😃 I hope you are having a great day, to round off a great weekend, lovely lady 🫶🏼❤️🌸
🌸🥷🏼Samurai Julie San 😍🙌🏼🤸🏼♀️🥰💐 good afternoon, my beautiful friend!! I LOVE that I have the Wabash Valley because, even though she came to the collection at a time that I did not know you, now she is a symbol of ... an orchid comes into your life for a reason. The universe knew that you and I would connect and with that, she is your's here. Also, whenever I say her name right, I think of you 🥰 it makes me smile! I will never forget how I used to pronounce Wabash, so German, and then the one that actually comes from that area, is in my chat, becomes a massive asset and friend in my life, was right there to correct the pronunciation. Just awesome! She is a huge part of the collection now, and that is all because of you and the whole meaning behind her 🙏🏼 I hope you are having a relaxing Saturday already, 🌸🥷🏼Gran amiga mia!! Thank you for everything, thank you for the friendship, thank you for being YOU! 🫶🏼❤️🌸
6:01 😄 I thought the same thing when my first cattleya with buds opened. Never noticed it until I saw the blooms up close. Maybe it's to attract humans instead of insects? 😀 6:14 The spicerianum is on my wishlist due to the fact that it's moderately cool growing and the flower shape particularly the dorsal sepal.
Hi Joe 😍💐 the nose!! 😆 some have some real honkers, that is for sure! Makes me laugh! Maybe we got our noses through evolution because it worked so well for the orchids 🤔😅 conspiracy rabbit hole 😂 I love the spicerianum! That bloom cracks me up every time 😂 thank you, Joe, so much for watching! I appreciate your time and the orchids and I appreciate your support! Have yourself a fabYOUlous Sunday 🫶🏼❤️🌸
🌸🥷🏼Samurai Nina San 😍🙌🏼🤸🏼♀️🥰💐 they are the sparkle right now, for sure! I hope you are already having a great week, lovely lady 🫶🏼 thank you so much for watching ❤️🌸
Oh! I am so glad that what I can pick up and show, actually makes you see the orchid for what she is, and not how she look like on camera. Woohoo!! It is so frustrating taking image after image, chasing the light, on a supposed not breezy day, and this orchid still moves 😅 delete delete delete and keep trying! Surely some pics and clips will show her almost to her full potential... so, thank you for letting me know. She is truly something else and I am glad that I could get her to this point, based on what I had to work with when she arrived. 🙌🏼
Hi Kriss! 😍💐 welcome! I have not seen you here before, I can't be 100% certain, but I do not want to miss extending a warm welcome, if this is your first time commenting. So, welcome! 🫶🏼 thank you so much for being here. I appreciate your time and comment, which, yes... they do not. However, as long as they bloom even if out of the norm, it is much better than when they do not cooperate during a rescue attempt 😬 hope you are having a wonderful weekend and once again, welcome 🫶🏼❤️🌸
Hi Nina, I just discovered your channel. I just watched your video from a few years ago about novelty phalaenopsis vs complex hybrid phalaneopsis. I had exactly the same problems with complex phalaenopsis as you discussed in your video. Getting to the point, the problem with complex phalaenopsis is their excessive flowering, which leads to exhaustion of the orchid, which does not have time to regenerate before the next flowering and begins to wither. Novelty phalaenopsis helped me solve this problem, because when they bloom they only have a few flowers on the spike, so the orchid does not lose energy. They simply have a self-preservation mechanism, which complex phalaenopsis do not have because they have been genetically modified to produce the largest possible number of flowers on the spike. Therefore, when my complex phalaenopsis start to bloom, I allow them to have a maximum of 5 or 6 flowers on the spike. I cut off the end of the spike so that the orchid does not produce more flowers on it. And it works. Greetings from Poland - Michael.
Michal, hi 😍💐 welcome! Thank you so much for your comment but first of all, welcome!! I appreciate you for being here, for your first comment on the channel, for giving me the opportunity to welcome you 🫶🏼 thank you for watching this video and for watching the video you referenced 🫶🏼and... your comment is amazing! You are so right! This is a consideration that I made a note of a year or 2 after that phal v phal video aired, because I was quick to cut off my spikes very early into their long time blooming phase. I did not let my phals bloom out in their own time, instead, after 6 weeks of enjoying the blooms, I cut the spikes because I wanted the orchids to start their vegetative growth sooner, seeing as there is only so much time in my 'nature dependancy' on growing my orchids, for them to grow new structures / roots before they start to spike again ( if they do because my light levels are too low) anyway, long story short, you are so right! I can concur with everything you wrote! Fantastic!! Thank you so much for adding that here 🫶🏼 woohoo!! 😃 this is great 😅 so good to have you here, I hope you stay 😅 and I hope you had a great weekend, staying warm in Poland! Thank you, again for watching and welcome ❤️🌸
@@NinjaOrchids Nina, thank you for such a nice welcome😀. I will definitely stay here for a long time, because I really like channels like yours, run by people who are not afraid to experiment with orchids. Thanks to this, we can dispel many myths about these amazing plants. Due to the rather harsh climate in Poland, I can only grow "iron" species such as phalaenopsis, cattleya and paphiopedilum (so-called "bulldog hybrids" paphs.) and cymbidiums. I like the "ordinary" phalaenopsis from the supermarkets the most, precisely because they bloom in winter. When it's snowy and frosty outside in Poland, I have a small garden at home with blooming orchids😍. Happy growing to us all😀.
😍Hi Jo 💐 your question is definitely something that I have thought about when it comes to my holcoglossum kimballianum. It is a specimen, and according to what I do for it's care, it is clearly loving it's life, but in 6 years I have never gotten it to bloom. It grows like it should, looks like it should, has plenty of roots like it should, but no blooms! Crazy! Also, I took a branch off of that plant and gave it to a friend. She got that branch to bloom after 2 years. Soooo, if I may be so bold as to say that, sterile oncidiums are not a thing. BUT, based on what you are describing, your orchid is just living it's best life and with that, there is no 'reason' for it to bloom. It has no stressors that would force it to bloom. Stressors being that it feels threatened and needs to push blooms in the hopes of getting pollinated. These kinds of stressors could be over exposure to light, eliminating any form of fertilizer, exposing the orchid to colder temperatures than it can tolerate as well as, dividing the orchid to stress the new growths out that they need to bloom. Any repot is a stressor for an orchid, so if you do not want to divide it, then a good root ball clean up, all in, (while the orchid is actively growing new roots) will stress the orchid out, and with that possibly push spikes on the new growths. If you would like to divide it, then that will be a signal for spikes, for sure. Personally, with my holcoglossum, I just cannot bring myself to not fertilize it, so that is my own situation. I just can't do it 😅 I have done the extreme light, the extreme low temperature and nothing has worked, so I now just grow it because I love it's funkiness. Let me know if what I wrote was helpful and if any of the tips would be something you would consider implementing. AND if you have any questions, based on what I wrote, please run them by me. Thank you so much for watching 🫶🏼 I appreciate your time! Have a beautiful Sunday ❤️🌸
@ thank you for your insight. I think I am going to repot it and maybe start a new section off of it. The strange thing is that it is right beside the others and cared for like the others but the others bloom frequently.. 🤷🏻♀️ maybe we should start threatening them, to terrify them into blooming! Hahaha…
So I know that you weren't really a fan of mounting the Twinkle but, I have to say, the bloom display should be nice with them hanging out and distracting from the way the plant looks at the moment. As for that Epidendrum melanoprphyreum x pseudepidendrum, those blooms wouldn't be enough for me (personally) to keep it. They are just rather meh, IMO.
Don Miguel 🥰💐 hola jefe! I was definitely NOT a fan of mounting it, and resisted for as long as possible. Hence why I lost the other 2, which I now really regret 🙄 When I water this one, I always think of you telling me that they do not do well in a pot, and I thought, hold my beer.... well.... I did not figure things out fast enough to get my stubbornness to prove a point 😅 and, 100% agree with you on the Epidendrum. Meh is my first reaction. After all these years? I mean, back in the day when I bought the orchid I saw pics, and thought it would be fun to have these around. I did not expect it to be a 6 year fight, aggravation after frustration etc, to then be less than impressed by them. So, we shall see what happens moving forward. I am going to give myself time, see what she does next season. I mean, the embreii was doing well, I got her to bloom and then this past summer... sayonara, I was done. Maybe the coming season will be the same for this epidendrum. Vamos a ver. For now, its a pop of color and an internal feeling of 'eff that order! I got it to survive and bloom!' satisfaction kind of thing 😅 thank you so much for watching and for all the tips in the past. Also, .... I kinda relish the fact that we feel the same way about that epidendrum 😂 have a wonderful Sunday, my friend! I appreciate you, mucho 🫶🏼❤️🌸

Also, thank you for watching this video, lovely lady 🫶🏼 wishing you a wonderful day and hopefully, by the time you read this, it already is 🫶🏼❤️🌸
I always call the inner column of a Cattleya a NOSE as well. Haha. Never heard someone do that. Beautiful blooms!
Laura, hi 😍💐 the NOSE!! Some blooms really have a honker 😆😂 this one... I guess to make it proportionally acceptable to the lip, has a HUGE honker 😂 love it! 😘 thank you so much for watching, lovely lady! I hope that you are doing well 🫶🏼 appreciate your comments and the support so much 🫶🏼❤️🌸
Gorgeous blooms arousing the two senses Nina.
🌸🥷🏼 Director Jose San 😍🙌🏼🤸🏼♀️🥰💐 my dear dear amigo!! These certainly were nice to have around when things were less than ideal, for sure!
@NinjaOrchids 💞☑️
🥹🙏🏼😘
Love your eye candy, and I'm jelly, yes I am both jiggly like jelly🫨 and jealous🫣 of your great blooms. OMG!! I JUST SAW A SPOT OF SUN!!!! 😎 Spoke to soon, the clouds are now removing it from sight. 🤨 I hope your weekend goes smoothly! Catch you later Ninadile..🐊
🪽🪽
I just love that Wabash Valley, I am glad that my home state of Illinois is representing for you and bringing you much joy. hahaha
6:14 The spicerianum is on my wishlist due to the fact that it's moderately cool growing and the flower shape particularly the dorsal sepal.
Have yourself a fabYOUlous Sunday 🫶🏼❤️🌸
oopps! Just left a comment here, but it was meant for a different 'Jo' 😬 Not Joe 🙄🫣 hope you are having a great day already 🫶🏼❤️🌸
Lovely! 😃
🌸🥷🏼Samurai Nina San 😍🙌🏼🤸🏼♀️🥰💐 they are the sparkle right now, for sure! I hope you are already having a great week, lovely lady 🫶🏼 thank you so much for watching ❤️🌸
I love the Dendrobium exile!!
Orchids don't always cooperate.
Hi Kriss!

Is it possible to have a sterile oncidium? I have ‘Twinkle’ and ‘Pink Profusion’ in bloom but ‘Sharry Baby’ is huge but has never bloomed.
Hahaha…
I had another word with my kimballianum this morning... its too late for her to bloom this year, but I talked to her about my expectations for 2025 😆
@@NinjaOrchids good for you!
