My great grandmother was a no nonsense tough old bat 😊 just like this lady!! She was born in 1914, lived through two world wars, a great depression and just over 50% of her life without electricity and refrigeration, had 8 children 7 living, lived with a double amputee husband during his last 10yrs, all while being the primary provider!!! Died at 94 and wasn't scared of nothing!!!!

I think this illustrates the writer's knowledge of human nature. We can normalize the most amazing anomalies and eventually, if exposed enough, they become the background to the mundane drudgery of life. I think this is a survival technique both good and bad.

I'm just starting but I agree. It sounds alot like cerber and all of that series. I've been looking for something as good for a long time.
This would make for a great movie or audiodrama. I particularly appreciated how we got just enough details to fill in the backstory enough to understand the story being told. The character development was the same way. It leaves me wanting to hear more about the town, and especially that badass gramma. “Language!”
Wow man I found this because lighthouse recommended you and this video, I have to say I am blown away. At first I didn't like the sound of your voice honestly but after getting me through the last half hour of my night I have to say you're definitely one of my top 3 favorite between mr creeps, lighthouse, dark somnium, and you now. Top 4! This story though is number one very very great writing!! Please do more or make this into a novel or series, it's one of my favorites now especially with gravy!

I ran a D&D campaign set in the 1920s in England in a cursed little town named Stoat. It had some parallel characters to those in Hollows End. I had cultists, succubi, a troll named Mr. Underhill, the town drunk had been turned into a horse and had his own wooden shutter door that flopped down to accommodate him sticking his head into the tavern so he could imbibe. Mr Abercrombie was the town's soliitor/lawyer and was a mummy. Such fun! You are well on your way, and l look forward to more from you. Love grandma and Randy.

Looking forward to it. My character, Mrs Agnes Greep couldn't hear well and sometimes tok things too literally. She believed stories should be told from their sources and pulled out cunieform texts and warned one of her guests to not sit in a certain chair because it was peckish. I think Muriel is my favourite Hollow’s End character. Her and Randy. Not sure who third would be. Gemstar is pretty awesome. Especially since Jemma is my niece’s name and Shadowstar is my Wiccan name. But no, she’s just really cool because in spite of being the most wise and powerful being of them all, she’s exceptionally humble and kind. So yeah, Muriel, then Randy, then Gemstar
