My Safari was rapid in a straight line but kept trying to roll over on me in the corners 😭 If only it could've stayed upright, maybe I would've gained a few places LOL, great racing nonetheless!
Holy tripod! Didn't realize how badly I tripoded until I saw HMC part. Sorry to Alex for the bumps there. Ford wasn't good, was one of the more painful cars I've built. But had a really good time otherwise during the session so all good.
Pretty happy with the defender it was a little twitchy in places but decent overall. Think there was also some desync involved in the 3rd race incident but these things happen a shame as the defender was really quick there. I was on the absolute limit in the 4th race that oversteer moment over the bridge cost me big time. I then missed the checkpoint by about 3mm at the chicane in the last race. Was some really fun races though
Why's the K10 so grippy? 😏 The K10, in reality, is a surprisingly balanced vehicle. I've had 2 of them and only once did I spin out(ice on road going up a hill)! It's a combination of shortish wheel base, more weight towards the vehicles rear & the aero allowing you to have a slightly drifty slalom vehicle with a natural balance towards grip positive weight transfer.
So it's kind of like the trueno of pick ups? The trueno was really popular because of it's almost perfect weight distribution and lightweight body. It's really good on the FH games too

You know I've watched just about all your video's (over meny meny weeks) and I liked the " Hunt the Survivors" spin off videos but what i thought would be better is if when after finding a player that said player would have to change sides and be on your team as a hunter. This way noone will want to chat with each other at first as to not give away their location. Just a thought from a devoted fan loving everything you guys put together for us fans! Thank you and Thank you to the whole Failrace team! Laddo Rules!!
Alex, your British heritage is keeping you from understanding the truck 1. Trucks can be lightweight when designed for performance. 2. Trucks can have very squirreling back ends because of the lack of weight over the rear axle. Hence the spare tire hanging so far rearward. 3. Truck's steering lock sucks most of the time and that makes them not very nimble on tight corners.
Didnt like the fact that the recent pick up truck's we got didn't have race suspension. All vehicles should have all the suspension options. Thats the point of the tuning side of the game .

what are you on about? There's a good foot between the two and no contact at all on the straight before the tree. Alex could probably have given Shadow a bit more room but Shadow could also have stayed on the tarmac a bit better and not been dragged left by the fence to the point where he hit the tree.
wonder what the best braking and accelerating car you can make would be like. Just brake late and hard then explode out of the corners. I guess would run into the issues seen in other vids where you just get smoked in the straights?

Those K10’s are actually really nicely balanced vehicles irl, especially for a truck. Hotchkis makes some very nice race suspension for them as well.

My strategy to use slicks with the Colorado didn't work as I hoped. Guess 530 HP wasn't enough.

Ive just had an idea for a class for a race. Completely open, but it has to be the exact same vehicle youve raced in a previous failrace video.

even if they added some point to point races, not everything needs to be a circuit.
