Jimbo One quick tip if I may, I connected the bare red/black wire to the illumination wire on the back of the radio, it’s the same red/black wire it needs to be connected to in the hard to reach harness under the driver side dash. Much easier to get to. When you turn on the headlights the LEDs change from the brighter bulb to the dim one giving you a soft glow on the floor at night while driving.
@@Raider1805 Hi, yes it's been a while, I'll need to get under the dash first and refresh my memory as to what I did. I only drive the car 2-3 times a year, It's a nice day here in SoCal so maybe I'll uncover the car and take it out of the garage today. @@Raider1805 I was not able to find a way to DM you on TH-cam but I can confirm I connected the red/black wire to the red/black wire in the radio harness. It's the same wire.
Only question I have is why is the light dimmer when 12V is sent to the red wire. I love the brightness when opening the door but would like that with the door closed. I installed a switch so that customer could choose to run them or not with doors closed but they are so dim.
This package does not include the installation instruction. The JDM instruction in Japanese has issues as the wire harness is different. 製品保証書is, not a 20th-anniversary certificate, rather a warranty certificate.
