I agree with all except for the He-Man. The YT channel For Eternia Official made some good points as to why this figure is overly hated, especially when he compared he-man’s head and body proportions to that of real life bodybuilders. But it’s not just that. I think to me personally, it’s the He-Man that looks heroic and not some angry weightlifter on the 80s figures.
Pretty much agree. Revelation figures seem to become obsolete as soon as there is a New Eternia counterpart. Most recent examples are Trap Jaw and Man-At-Arms. Even though the latter one was not that bad.

i just consider that savage heman as masterverse version of Oolarr. Also, i think displaying the revelation/revolution and new eternia separately makes more sense. I agree on the point about Mattel waste some opportunity there by making two characters with different version. However i am glad that the Masterverse are getting better and better p.s. the heman headsculpt on masterverse line are almost all terrible, the best two for me are the new battle armor heman and the new adventures
I get what you mean with Savage He-Man but when I was reviewing him I think he served 2 actual purposes. I don't think he is just supposed to be Savage No Sword Transforming He-Man. I think that figure is meant to be the Savage Woods Tribe He-Man from the first mini comic ever. I even did a small mock panel to show how well he looks set up as if he was getting his armor from the Eternian Goddess during the video to show what I was talking about. It kind of made me love the figure when I saw that. I can agree with the Beast Man but it's also 2 very different takes on the character as well. One is more classic inspired using the original figure and concept art while one is post time skip Revelation. I personally don't really compare them as there is no contest but put into the perspective of what each is supposed to be I see them both at homeruns really. Teela I would give the same argument. Spikor I kind of think always has looked kind of dumb. Same argument for Merman as I make with Beast Man however on this one I have yet to buy the Revelation Merman as the other is soo much better that it makes the other one a pretty hard sell. For Trap Jaw all I can say is that he might be the first one ever to show just how messed up he jaw really should be. I mean it's not there. It's grotesque and on a personal note I really like that it's so messed up. There shouldn't be anything flattering under that metal jaw. With no actual jaw his tongue would just hang all gross. I can only say for Revelation He-Man that he is what he is meant to be. the Revelation version of He-Man. It's apples to oranges. It kind of seems like a lot of people wanted Masterverse to be something it wasn't or wasn't yet.
I agree with you on everything but He-Man because I would argue that in the actual cartoon the drawing of He-Man looks infinitely better than the figure. The cartoon does not have a thin spaghettis strap power harness and He-Man looks massive. The figure does not match up in my opinion.
What are those little karate guys called in front of your masterverse figures? I used to have them and can’t remember the name of that line. Any help would be appreciated.
Cool vid. New Eternia isn't immune from having some subpar releases, IMHO. Whiplash and Ram Man are both pretty "bleh" in my eyes. I didn't mind Jitsu at first, but the more I look at him, the more I want a Masterverse "Vintage Collection" one.
When it comes to Masterverse. There was a bunch of early figures i never bought. I never bought Wave 1 He-man, Skeletor. Never bought that Terminator Faker. I honestly like the Spikor...But it could be better. Mossman could be better. I have that Trapjaw. Like you said face is stupid. So glad they are releasing a better one. Gonna get rid of the dumb one lol. Would be nice to see a new Evil lynn too.

I've actually becoming more forgiving of some of the earlier figures, now that we've got versions of them that are more like what I originally wanted. I just tend to repurpose the originals as different characters..
didnt pick up any of the masterverse ones, couldnt get over their weird joints and the early waves cheap plastic look. some of the she-ra figures look good tho. she-ra and hordak, shadow weaver, catra all looked good.
Revelation Merman feels like a metaphor of all the vintage motu figures that are half destroyed and filling all the e bay listings. Kind of like that crazy barbie with the cut up hair and wacky makeup on that barbie movie. There was no actual explanation for what happened to him to cause him to lose his armor and an eye.
I just see the savage he man as an updated oolar from classics.

You are 100% correct. The revelation figures were too stylized and trying too hard to look like the animation with the small heads and lack of detail.
i tapped out of collecting masterverse sold off the 20 plus figures i had however they now have about 10 good looking figures now im pro origins

Seem like Revelation dump down the designs for most characters so they could do the animate them easier.
Yeah the early revelation figures I just dont like that much. Later revelation figures look better.
