Please let Mr Chaudry know he is a legend here in Ireland, he and his Co worker's have opened our eyes, and hearts,we had no idea how everyday life is for them and their families, things we take for granted here seem a world away for them, but please let them know they are not forgotten ❤
I’m American and I am not usually like this and I feel I have a pretty good grip on reality, but why do I feel that these tribal people are family to me? They are so special.
I don't think it's the typical para-social thing you see with people getting attached like they're 'friends' with the presenter. It's that all of these people on this channel are genuinely *good* people from what we can tell: humble, honest, genuine and gracious. We see so little of that in western culture these days (because our media is actively toxic), that we are all starved for it. When we detect it, we're drawn to it because we all instinctively know this is how people are supposed to be. Kind, honest, genuine, and real. In reality, as they themselves have said, they are probably pretty typical tribal people. But that kind of honesty and kindness, over here, is vanishingly rare. And we all wish we had more people in our lives like this. It's a NEED. Hence the draw.
I feel the same way. They are plain spoken which I really respect. They show their real feelings. Nothing wrong with respecting people who are genuine and open. We could use more of that here!
@@GirtonOramsay Here (upstate NY) it's the $1.25 store. But I'm amazed they were able to hold the line on prices almost all the way through the Covid mess. All the other stores were whining about the "supply line" but they still managed to keep their stores stocked. Kudos to them!!

Sorry I cannot recall his name. But I simply adore this Tribal Elder Gentleman ! You can read his every emotion about something, particularly foods and beverages. On how desirable they may be, by just ❤watching his face !
After living for many years in the Middle East and now in Europe many times I get frustrated while watching these videos full of great and tasty food. Biryani, by the way, is one of my favorite dishes. Pakistan is Heaven for food. Everything tastes great over there.
A plate of Biryani at the closest restaurant that serves it here in Missouri, USA, would cost me $18.95 + tax. Two samosas would cost me $4.95 + tax. It would also take me an hour to drive there.
I live in Missouri and you aren't kidding. I went to McDonalds a few months ago and paid almost $20 for just a McChicken, Spicy Chicken Deluxe, and large fry. Outright ridiculous
Back in the 70's I remember McDonald's commercials for lunch for under a buck. You'd get a small drink, small fry and 2 hamburgers...and some change back.
Tobacco products are really big here including velo. These companies actually have huge factories in Pakistan and they also export to european countries from here.
I remember when they went to IHOP and it was something like $2.25 for a short stack of pancakes. That was about the price in the USA sometime in the1970s!
Here in Norway, the food prices have increased a lot more than salaries several years in a row (only the food magnates get the money, they who produces it received almost nothing more than before) now you can barely buy 2-3 potatoes for 1$.
I would watch an entire travel series of Mr. Chaudhury going around to eat in different places. He's got the same joy in showing you something delicious that Tony Bourdain had.
!? Man. I wish I can enjoy food like that freely. Back when I was little I remember some snacks and food were easily paid for with a quarter or two. Most expensive one was about a dollar and twenty-five cents.... I know I just aged myself but I don't care.
Everything looked great. The Biryani would sell like hotcakes in the US at even $3. Realistically, it would cost at least $6 even at an independent restaurant and at least $7 most places.
The prices vary from country to country. If i get a Biryani here in Germany (at an idian place) it would be 14 dollars....., a bowl of fruit would set me back 3 dollars and a glass of lemonade would be around 4 dollars.
