I'm so glad you put this disclaimer. Its so important that this is widely known. No one needs to have this much clothing purchased at one time unless its apart of their job, or industry. Very responsible and important to point out. Great stuff Drew!
Essentially, he is a business entity. Are we saying that all business entities are excluded from sustainability constraints, because they are a business entity ?
@@archanapaladugu368 No. I think responsible spending on well-made items along with a disclaimer that this is apart of his job, and that no one should feel pressure to emulate him based on this being a apart of his job. I think he is by far one of the most responsible influencers, and this warning/disclaimer explains his commitment to sustainability brilliantly.

"Sacoche" (pronounced sakosh) is a word we use for a type of little bag in french often worn on the shoulder with a long adjustable strap. We usually throw all kinds of small stuff in it such as a phone keys etc
went to japan in april and as a denim head myself i was sooo impressed with all the shopping. i was so excited to see all these brands in real life instead of looking through the webpage. reat video! and amazing pick ups!
Lmao 5:48 caught me off guard 😂 like where is the camera even? Haha. Drew this is such a great video. Can feel the excitement and energy from you that the trip gave you. Good stuff #Wegetthedrip
Great video, when I started wearing Levi’s,a very long time ago,I started with the 501’s and have tried all the other styles and am now wearing the 511’s
I think gorp will always just be me like I just love the design language of function and the materials. But I do think for warmer months in the future I do want to explore more airy styles that lend to being more comfortable in warm weather
The Spiderman shirt just says Spiderman on the bottom in red as well! Japanese spiderman was a tv show on a while ago, the eps are on youtube, it's a very fun watch he has a spidercar he saunters around in.
I live in South Korea, so Japan is only about a 2 hour flight. I literally save up all my money and don't buy anything, not even a pair of socks, just so that I could buy all my basics and clothes in Japan, its one of the best places to shop at and if you haven't done so, I really recommend it. However, thrifting will be ruined for the rest of your life cause the vintage stores in Japan are beyond amazing.
Great pickups except the bape and evisu. Bape’s quality deteriorates a lot since being acquired by IT group from Hong Kong. For evisu, I think Japanese are not buying them for awhile. I love that danner, almost bought the same pair but I picked the japan exclusive timberland boat shoes in the end.
When I first started getting into fashion I found those exact evisu jeans at a yard sale and I really liked them but they were $15 so I didn’t get them a month later I found what they were and I was devastated
It says 'Spiderman' on the side and bottom of the shirt btw (just different font)! Glad you had a great trip in Japan -- I've been living in Tokyo for the last year and love hearing others' impressions of the city! Wish I could've ran into one of my favorite TH-camrs while they were here, though lol
can someone help me with what type of bag the With Yuigahama is? Been trying to find one online for secondhand but can't figure out the right words to look it up.
18:28 I think it is so sad that Evisu is now made in china. When I was in Osaka I expected them to have other stuff than in Taiwan or Singapore, but no. It's all just made in china and tbh I feel like they can't compete with the quality of the other big Japanese denim brands, especially because they are double the price. Momotaro or sugarcane will cost you 150 USD in Japan while Evisu is double the price.
I don’t get the drip. When you mentioned the iconography, I immediately thought McDonald’s. Love that vest though. Gorpcore is a staple in my wardrobe. #PVV 173 birthplace of denim for sure
Drew is the best and most humble fashion influencer. I always find myself seeing new garments that I feel like I just need to buy, thank you for the disclaimer
sad that you couldn't experience Evisu before full China acquisition, you would have loved it and the fit of the made in japan denims is just so much better than what is offered now. Staff were with the brand since early 2000s, real OGs. I picked up 3 pairs when I was there and will rock them until they fall apart
While countries around the world are deteriorating and losing their greatness about them, Japan has recognized that greatness, taken it, and kept it all alive for us to remember and get back to one day. I appreciate Japan so much.
Been waiting for your Japan vids!!! Looking forward to more... currently planning for my trip in October, so would love to see the stores you visited specifically in Tokyo. 173
Stumbled upon Kamakura by accident one day. By far my favorite place in Japan. Mad vibes. Surf/Biker town with so many great artists. Kurosawa is buried in the town. Fitting.
i absolutely love that you mentioned bape and bought two pieces in japan. bape was the first brand that got me hooked to street wear and fashion in general back in 2005 and 2006, i ended up having fake pieces as well in high school and then at the beginning of 2020 i was able to go to japan and i purchased a few pieces. it was such an amazing feeling going to the original bape store in harajuku and purchasing something. it was like living a childhood dream of mine even tho my love for bape isn’t the same as it was. i think it’s important to stay true to ourselves and what we like even if the masses have moved away from it. we gotta scratch they street wear itch from time to time
I was just over in Japan for a little over a week, the people of Tokyo are very fashionable. You can tell a lot of the folks there take a lot of pride in their personal presentation.
What’s up from Tokyo. I have found your channel and watched this video. I am very glad that you seemed to have good time in Japan. I really like the brown leather bag from Kamakura. I would like to have one from there. I wanna know more about the shop and the bag. Watching your channel makes me bring back to my young days when I liked fashion. Since I lived in the US for long time, I like to know Americans’ perspective about Japan. I like your channel a lot.
The Spiderman shirt is sick, along with everything you got, and at the bottom in red it actually just says “Spiderman” again in Japanese. My favorite thing was definitely the leather bag, such a special find
The disclaimer, the humble and respectful approach to fashion with a crazy sense of passion for the artform, instant sub. Looking forward to watching your stuff man
I love the way you explain the story behind every item, it makes me want to appreciate what I wear and purchase a lot more. It is also so much more interesting than the usual hauls a lot of people do on yt where they're just like "yeah its cute" "yes i have this", it is so fast paced and senseless and honestly there is just a lack of personality and creativity. It was really really refreshing to find you on this platform! Would love some videos about styling an specific item or items maybe? Like the denim jacket or maaan I loooove the leather bag as well, and that akira manga omg ❤️🤧 so cool. Can't wait for the vlogs, ok this was too long bye
resonate heavy with this, Super inspired by Japanese Americana/Streetwear styling, and my recent pickups are comparable pieces, with a different budget. I can really see your influence on my purchases with this vid, I think that means you do good work for consumerism. looking forward to the vlogs #wegetthedrip
Drew what it doooo! New sub right here! Loved this video and the sense of community you advocate for my bro! Hot tip to share: Next time your in Tokyo, visit the ward of Nakano specifically a place there called Nakano Broadway. It's a total otaku's dream (Think Akihabara but in a huge shopping centre). There is a store called Manadarake and they have one particular branch that specialises in anime cells. So you could get your hands on some original Akira anime cells which might be an amazing piece of art for your home. Anyway love your videos my dude, peace and love all the way from Sydney, Australia!
Just a random note: LVC is Levi’s Vintage Clothing (not LV crafted). Great vid tho, keep it up

Those evisu jeans were the trend when i was like 13-14 back in early 2000s, we was all wearing them in the size 34 length having crazy stacks lol
I don't think the ones with the large gul like this were on trend 24 years ago and still not now. Although I've just realised how old I am.
@@lulabelle82 I said early 2000s meaning 2005-06 and yeah the yellow/gold/red paints were the most popular models

Aloha ; Just discovered your channel , love it . Where exactly did you buy the With Yuigahama Handmade Bag ?
I've been looking on google maps and i can't seem to find it either :(
the shoe horn keychain is actually insane
I was in Japan for a month during end march till end April and now watching this I want to go back tomorrow lmao.
Deffently highly needed!❤

The evisu pants remind me of Mcdonald, im loving it!
Yo, we get the drip! 😂 going to Japan in a couple months and I’m hitting up the evisu shop to get some daicock denim too!

Thank you for that disclaimer. IMPORTANT MESSAGE. Very appreciated.
Where that jacket with og 107 pants perfect
are you going to shrink the 501s to fit and activate that leg twist?
in regards to the Evisu: everyone knows when your girl doesn't like it, it's fly lol
