Collecting gold as a F2P players is difficult early in the game but there is one really important thing you must do to increase your gold count: avoid overspending.
As new players we fall into the trap of wanting to upgrade all our heroes' skills, items, glyphs, etc. This will dry our gold out. We must be patient and spend gold wisely.
Once we unlock dungeon and tower you'll notice gold will start accumulating and then we will be able to speed up the upgrading of our main team, titans artifact and everything else.

Yep, and there are a couple "traps" as it were with gold, particularly ascension and titan seals, as both require large amounts of gold once you get to higher level and you have to start saving.
Note that some events (like the Titan Artefact one) give chests that have lots of gold in them. Several millions of gold from the event.
best way early on imo to level heroes isn't buying xp potions but running your chosen heroes through the campaign as much as possible; actually playing through, not Raiding--Raiding gets you the xp potions instead (also useful but more generically), whereas playing through, the xp goes directly to those heroes involved.
Another tip--leave one titan of each type weaker while maxing the others; it lowers the strength of your opponent teams! You'll last much longer, get much further. (I learned this after I'd done it the hard way, sadly.) Also, *Water is your friend* in the Dungeon; a strong water team with a strong totem can, properly managed (Manual mode) leave battles STRONGER than they entered them!! (This of course assumes they were not already at ful strength, but does also take into account power-ult buildup.) And as soon as you have strong Dark and/or Light teams, use them first in the Mixed battles. Especially Light, they can also heal, though throwing Hyperion in adds to that. You can also use that strong Water team (maybe Light as well, mine's still too weak to tell) to heal other Teams' Tanks between THEIR battles, and REALLY extend your dive!

There are definitely not two meanings in his question he talks about gold currency of c, the game is good i love it but its made to suck your money off in the fastest way possible, before u r bored with it.
Also exchange shop. If you time it right you could spin 3 times a day
Gold has also been my dillema since i started, i have 20.000 skin stones & 40.000 outland coins & 50.000 tower coins, but 25 k gold
Level 85 & i have never been able to get more than 3 - 4 mil gold.. my solution is !
Dont play Alliance because its a complete ripp-off, the game is designed to take your money & nothing else, the rewards are so crap It is truely insulting..
Alliance is no where even close to Dominion, Alliance sucks, everything in the game is over totally over-valued
The quants hired to do the math for Alliance are freakin idiots, there algo's suck & they have ruined the game, that's it that's all !

League advancement is top 4 Qual (v bottom 4 Bronze), top 3 Bronze, top 2 Silver.
A bonus note, as you can also trade excess titan soul stones for Gift of the Elements "coins", having maxed all of my heroes on that (finally; took 5 years!), I then saved up 66K more!...it takes 65K and change (sorry, I did the math but didn't write down the final number) to take one hero to max level, so when the next hero comes out, I can max that IN A DAY! (As an added bonus, pay attention to the Role your heroes play; once you max out Gift/Elements for a Role, say for example Marksman, any time an Event generates the quest for raising the level for that Role (Marksman in this example), like so many other quests it is auto-completed! :)
