    Great video but I think the a875ds hand at 7:12 is not a good example since just prior you said these middling hands are easily dominated. The only thing you got going with that one is ONE nut suit, really. It works as a semi-bluff I suppose with the ace blocker.

    Older video but in general it would work nicely to quickly address which changes would make hand viable/good 3bet candidate. Like for example on BU having KQQJ would be much more reasonable having AQQJ.

    What are the pros and cons of not fully repotting in a three bet? Ex) V1 open pots for 3.5bb we
    1) 3 bet to 14bb or
    2) 3 bet to 9bb
    I see a lot of live plo players doing the 2 nd options

    On your first example at 100+ bb stacks, even ss, do you still recommend just letting mid rundowns go over 3betting? My logic is this type of hand improves our board coverage and plays better vs 1 opponent over multiple. Appreciate the content as well!

      Recently made a video on this topic in the PLO Mastermind in our new course Crushing Small Stakes PLO. If you are into that make sure to watch it. As you learn there when opponents fold less often vs 3bets we want to lower our 3bet frequency and take it easy with our bluffing part

    This is nice advice and all but it doesn't tell us what hands SHOULD we 3bet except the obvious AAxx. And if we only 3bet with AAxx then our opponents are going to play very easy against us and lead out on low card boards.

    I try to play to my best and get on tilt because of some players who will go all in with hands like 3567 and you holding AAK10, they will hit straight majority of the time, or two pair.

    • @LuukBotter86
      @LuukBotter86  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @kakerandelin
      @kakerandelin 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@LuukBotter86 If the 3567 is double suited and the AAKT is rainbow, the 3567 is actually a 50,22% favourite, so it's not that simple. Also, everyone knows most 4bets are aces and often worse aces than those, so I (and most ppl) will happily jam 3567ds against 4bets. And in multiway all in pots it's often even a clear favourite. PLO is just a sick game that's all there is to it. Micro stakes PLO is absolute mental torture lol.

    • @kakerandelin

    This is a huge leak that pros like you have. That last hand. Trying to check raise and such.. he actually played It very well and you got lucky. And then you missed out on value on the turn. And flop too. Oh well. Overall good video.

    • @LuukBotter86
      @LuukBotter86  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      How is it that i missed out on value on the flop? Would you lead here? And what is your argument for doing so?
      What makes you say he did play the hand very well here? Would you say his check back is good and what speaks for/against this?

    • @SwayPromo
      @SwayPromo 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LuukBotter86 I have no problem how the hand played out pre flop being that I’m not sure if your range advantage is better than his. That being said then you go ahead and flop a huge hand. What type of hands are you trying to get value from? And what type of hands is he going to bet there? When if he bets he can easily be bluffed off the type of hand he had so he’s probably going to check most streaks while you sit there and try to trap and go for such an obvious check raise. . Pros do this all the time. It’s so easy to exploit. They always try and go for check raise, then what value are you getting from check raise? If you lead the flop he’s not folding if he has QQKKAA probably doesn’t have AA but he could have it and try to trap you and play on later streaks which is exactly what he did with his hand. So if you lead there he’s going to call. Then you can easily check the turn and then try to check raise or just bet small and induce a bluff. So many more options than trying to check raise. I’ve done this a ton in his spot against pros they constantly try to check raise and I just check check and call river or check river and then I can just play my hands real strong when i know they have a hand and I have a range advantage or I flop real big hand where they can have also a big hand. In my opinion you just get more options and more value from many more hands that he could have by betting that hand then by checking. I see this every single day especially live. 3 pros at the table playing tight aggressive and always trying to check raise when they have big hands. It’s become so obvious that it’s exploitable. I’m not sure what the GTO strategy is here but from exploitative standpoint I personally just hate how you played the hand. You even decided “im gonna go ahead and go for check raise” without even thinking how to extract more value. When pros do this to me and I have a hand like his i just fold.. you get wayyyyy less value in the long run from that. Then the pro just thinking’s he can always make me fold Kk AA hands and then you can get win big pot from them the next time they try check raise me and I have them trapped with a real hand... you have much more of a chance of him trying to bluff you there if you lead out and he raises you than trying to check raise and praying he calls you....

      A bit late to the party here - Luke is correct that single suited QQ + KJ is mostly not a 3-bet. Had it been double suited then it's 100% a 3-bet and most probably a fold if 4-bet (you don't block aces and the proximity effect vs AA trashes your range post flop). It's true that he flopped lucky (trips) and then FH on the turn but Luke is again correct that he does not have a leading range as 3-bet caller. Not betting the turn is probably a mistake, but not betting the Ace on the river is 100% understandable as Luke realizes he looses to Aces full (most 3-betting ranges a AA heavy). In any case, the point here is that single suited broadway pairs are mostly played as calls and not 3-bets.
