If what they use to make the yarn glow in the dark is anything like the glow pigments I've used in resin projects, uv is definitely the way to go to get the most glow time out of the item.
Idk if I'd ever make a whole project out of just that but I have had the idea to use it, or the glow yarn that red heart came out with a little while ago to knit up a hat out of black yarn and then embroider some stars and a moon onto it with the glow yarn or something.
As for podcast recs, I'm more of a fiction podcast enjoyer, but my sister really loves the wine & crime podcast, and while true crime isn't my personal cup of tea from what I listened to of it it's pretty entertaining

Used this stuff to make a spider web cover-up/sweater and it looks really neat.
I thought the glow was kind of mid but it still turned out nice I think; it was my first time making clothes, so im proud of it regardless.
And I agree, there's a bit of drag when working the yarn that was a little frustrating. I used a 4.5mm I think? I can't remember. Anyway, I think it's the coating on the yarn that makes it glow that's causing the drag.

I will say, I do have a UV lamp and I made a ghost out of the cotton yarn. I got it to last a good few hours after charging it for roughly 2-3 minutes under the lamp. It’s extremely bright for maybe 30-40 minutes and then just fades slowly over time.

    Decoding the Unknown
    Casual Criminalist
    Into the Shadows
And i don't know if this one is a podcast form anymore, but Brain Blaze! Brain blaze is by far the most humorous, but for his true crime one (Casual Criminalist) he has his writers focus on "CSI not Saw" because he really doesn't want to have the over-explanation of gore when its not necessary. He wants to focus on the victims.

Podcasts. Decoding the unknown, and casual criminalist. Both of these have the same host. He has different people write scrips for him, then he reads and interacts with the script. Occasionally there are more interactive episodes where two writers team up, or where one of them sets up a set of mysteries that the host , Simon, has to figure out which are made up. Because the writers are from all over the world you don’t just get the same cases on repeat from other channels. And after a very few episodes he rapidly embargoes over detailed information about gore and very much focuses on respect for the victims and discussing investigations rather than giving air time to perpetrators testimony , which is much better than many channels. He has a million other channels with a different personality on each, but those are the two I think would best suit you.
