Tak pronounce longer as TAAK , There are many natural pine forests in Thailand especially on high hills in the northern part , at Doi Suthep for eample. My most favorite pine forest is at Thung Salaeng Loung National Park at Kao Kor mountain range. The forest is big and ancient, trees are old and huge, the rolling hill landscape is beautiful and it's relatively cool all year long.
Fantastic vlog. Your video makes my day. Such a nice vlog, so natural and very relaxing. Love it. Can't wait to see your next episode. Alles Gute zum Geburtstag Ken und sei sicher.
I always feel better walking in forests, specially if there is a river or stream there also. I think the lady was happy you visited, to break up her day. Nice little stop by the river and as always friendly people. Nice accomodation in Hang Dong and in a tranquil area. Sad news about the floods back in Europe at the moment. Don't forget to have that beer I bought for you. Happy birthday.
Yet another enjoyable video, thanks Ken. I've travelled both ways, with plans & without & I agree with you in what you say. Also I tend to not book my room, just turn up like you. Lets hope travel opens up easier for all those that want to travel to Thailand & explore. Keep safe & enjoy every minute.
Great of you, as an experienced traveller, giving good tips to fresh traveller(s) Good job, Ken. Nice view of the river and its surrounding but the river water looks like "teh tarik" 😂😂 Amazing drone shots...👍👍
Haha... travelling with no plan is good plan... Sometimes it's interesting to go with the flow. Happy to see that you are "home in Germany" for a while as those pine trees remind you of home 👍👍 That fruit you pick up from the ground is called cone. Lovely pine trees and l agree that it's a beautiful location for wedding photography 😀😀
It’s common to see pine trees in The north of Thailand. Because it’s a Highlands and it’s cool in the winter, you’ll be surprise someplace you can even see Savana field or Mable trees are growth by Natural there . I am enjoin your video and have a safe ride.
Ken, the journey to no where sounds full of excitement. Somehow, you will find something that you like for sure. Keep on exploring. Fun time is waiting for you.🥰

Quite a day.... as always...be vigilant , stay safe ...happy exploring.
No matter how bad things are for Thai people and the ridiculous situation they find themselves in, you still make happiness for them with amazing videos and the people that follow you. I am beginning to wonder, as a traveler if I can ever return to a country I love.
I remember when I started watching your videos 1.5 months ago, I had to catch up on a lot of them before I was up to date. Back then I had to check the meaning of english words every few words, now I watch your videos fully without subtitles and without looking at the translator anymore. Thank you ken for your videos, i am really enjoyed watching them and learning :)
Great Drone, see Doi Inthanon, Highest Mountain 💖You are in a Fantastic Area. Wishing you Happy Birthday, Alles Gute 👌👍👍✌In these times -No Plans are Great!
Love this spontanious travel episode, filled with pleasant surprises. Last year you celebrate your birthday at a beach in Batu Feringghi, Penang. This year may be in a forest or at a riverside. Anyway HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY KEN!!! Enjoy n have a blast birthday celebration.
Hey Happy Birthday ole man 🙃🎂🍧🍻 Glad I caught this one but it’s probably your day already. Either way have a great day buddy. Stay safe and healthy my friend. I’ll be looking for your next vlog. Nice drone too.
Sometimes when one doesn’t have plans, one discovers new pleasant adventures ..that lady with the drink cart was one of them .. good command of English and when she was asking you where you’re from, I was expecting you to whip out the Lederhosen with a Song from the old country 😉 Wishing you a Very Happy Birthday Ken with many many more wonderful adventures to come 🍾🎂🙏
Hi Ken 👋🏻 first of all I would like to wish you "Happy Birthday Ken" 🎂🎉🎈really beautiful rows of pine trees , I remembered I collected some pine cones during my travel in Australia and it smell so nice 👍 the lady seller was really sweet and she could understand english despite of language barrier 👍 luckily you arrived the hotel before dark and I would normally plan where to go and which place to stay before travelling but sometimes we change plans once we reached the destination 👍
I am Thai, the local lady tried to tell you she is Lu-ah (one of the oldest and powerful tribe in northern part of Thailand) , love the way you try to find what happan along the way you travel , stay save and sound , thank for making the nice vloggs..
Wow you found your little Germany along the way when you travel without making plans today. Agree with your approach of making plans, but leave some room for flexibility.
Is that pine tree? I think it could be eucalyptus tree that many are also planting here in Malaysia for they grow rapidly and can be harvested in about 6-8 years for timber.
Omkoi District is the southwestern most district of Chiangmai. You can find beautiful landscape and stunning green mountainous views there including Lahu hill tribe villages. The woman, who you met at the pine tree forrest, is Lahu as she told you. You should check it out. It may be the unforgettable place for celebrating your birthday!!!
4:51 I believe they are called Pinecone in English 18:30 Whoa, almost lose your phone for a moment there. BTW, Ich wünsche dir einen schönen Geburtstag, Ken. May you have many more joyful birthdays in the future.
Mr KEN.' HOPE YOU'RE HAVING FUN TRAVELLING AROUND.' NICE..' YOU REMEMBER ASKING ABOUT THE THAI ALCOHOL DRINK.' ACTUALLY IT'S MADE FROM RICE...' FROM MALAYSIA
I have worked in the hospitality industry for a very long time & thought I'd mention a word about your comment about the price they gave you being less expensive than the Agoda price. When you book through an online booking site, the hotel/resort may only see 70-90% of that revenue. The online travel agent company insures the hotels are contractually bound to not offer cheaper rates with a competing online booking company nor usually even on your own hotel's direct booking website. If Agoda advertises a $100 rate, the hotel obviously who only would get to keep $75 of that booking would be a lot further ahead selling to you directly for $90. However, in many cases today, online booking companies make up the vast amount of a hotel's business & they become very reluctant to give the cheaper rate, even when you just walk-in to the hotel.
It doesn't have one place. It has pines and pines that are native to the garden and grow in many places. both in the national park and along the high mountains in the north and the western region including the Northeast And pine trees are also found at Pang Ung Lake in Mae Hong Son Province.
Blind traveling is not recommended at all. I think on this mainroad HW108, Ken missed the intersection with small road HW1088 that forming the inner loop Chingmai-Mae Hong Son raod trip which leads to Me Jam district and Doi Inthanont National Park.
travel without plan this is mean you don't have correct distention to go , but you need to keep station for your landing before you start to go anywhere . I enjoying your video and I Follow up your travel channel its very helpful for me because we need to see your exploring , thanks and stay safe .
