Yes, Jeff, there's a lot going on in these images...looks like it's been quite a year so far on Oak Island! I agree with you that Rick is most likely looking at the top of a tunnel below the Garden shaft. This seems to be a dry floor type passageway.A major flood tunnel wouldn't have that kind of beam over it.These latest scenes are amazing.
JFREE In my research of all the things on Oak Island, my favourite is the cross that Gary found this cross has a left hand hanging down. When I looked this up, it led me to the helping hand on the Camino. This is the left hand hanging down from The cross look it up helping hand on the Camino. The idea of the helping hand on the Camino for the pilgrims goes back to the 1200s the church that was built originates in 1340 but the idea is much older The statue is older than the church. The idea is older than the church. This trinket originates in Spain in the 1300s there were a lot of Spanish Templar nights now if we go to Nova Scotia, you will find the MIK’MA Natives well, trading with the natives the Indians were proud to show off the garments and trinkets that the Templar knights had given them, and when they Paraded these items around the Templar nights, would say now you are Misma, MISMA IN SPANISH MEANS THE SAME. IN THE 1200S AND THE EARLY 1300S THERE WAS A DIALECT OF SPANISH MIXED WITH HEBREW. THIS WAS CALLED LIDON AND IN THIS DIALECT OF SPANISH HEBREW, THEY WROTE AND SPOKE THE LETTER K INSTEAD OF THE S, THIS IS WHERE THE NAME OF THE NATIVES CAME FROM -MIKMA-YOU ARE THE SAME.IF YOU WANT No more about the Templar nights in Nova Scotia and the journey. It took to get there then probably we should get together there, Jay, free 906 and I’ll let you know some more tidbits.
Maybe, but I don't think so. They would have to do a lot of work yet in season 11 to get a shaft or a tunnel down into Aladdin's Cave. That is a major undertaking. I could be wrong though. Just saying.
I agree with you 100% Jeff you have just got me real excited I can’t wait for this episode I think it is going to a super season if they don’t find it this season I believe 100% for sure next season I feel like a little kid on Christmas night waiting for Santa I think you sound like you do to by the excitement of your voice
I agree with you seeing the hole. Reminds me of the shape old cradles had to rock babies to sleep, but it is so thin. I guess time would do that . If it is wood, it must be delicate. I think Gary had a metal hit and they dug that hole to find it.
That “piece of wood”, at the bottom of the garden shaft, sure looks like the lid of a crate/chest. It could be shadows, but it sure looks like a basic hole/handle on the side. It also appears to have a curvature as a chest lid would have. Perhaps they’re in the vault?
With that little grooved out part in the middle of that wood makes me think it looks like the end of a chest. If they were over a tunnel that water in the bottom would run away. Remember last season when Gary used his metal detector in the bottom of the shaft and he got the hits for gold or silver. Bingo, here it is. A small treasure for deposit with Templar Bank and Trust.
I would be quite happy with it being a chest! I think they would too! Yes, I remember and nothing was found when they started digging out the bottom of the Garden Shaft this year. Maybe this is it as you say
I would guess that "little groove" is the mortise of a mortise & tenon joint. Like usual they will end the current season with this discovery as the "cliff hanger". I can't wait till next season for the "big reveal" of where this discovery leads.
Or maybe the season after that...or the one after that??? I'm so tired of hearing they are waiting for "permits". Demand a permit for the whole island. Otherwise tell them you are ending the program. How many millions of tourist money has this show brought to Nova Scotia? They would be killing the goose than laid the golden eggs.
Jeff this certainly looks like a tunnel..... could be part of the tunnel....there is a cut out groove in the top part and a circle type lower. These 2 marking make me curious
Part of me thinks the "tunnel" could be part of the secret entrance. I'd like to see how far it goes in either direction. I'm surprised they haven't tried to drill in the woods above the money pit area or below heading toward the shoreline. If they were using some kind of rail car or carts below ground in a tunnel, there would have been a gental slope coming from somewhere? Maybe out of the swamp, which would have been a shoreline at one point? I really feel like they are getting somewhere now! The hardest part for me is separating what most likely happened over centuries and not trying to link things together that might not fit from the time frame. This is why this mystery is so hard!
I was thinking , at one time they said the swamp had been man made and the possibility that there used to be a small inlet bay for boats to dock in between the 2. They did those sonar readings and came to the results that there were tunnels leading towards the money pit from the swamp. In my theory I thought maybe there was a cave system that gave them the possibility to tunnel deeper inland and unload cargo from the swamp through the cave system then fill it all in, hiding the work they did. Plus those 8 pages talk about a pit be dug from the shore line to hide their treasure? Would that not be a shoreline if the swamp was not there but a bay area with a road to unload cargo? i seriously think this, plus the water that runs through that well has silver readings? There very well could be another tunnel where they deposited other treasure. Those readings showed them several tunnels.
At this point, we know the swamp was used around 1200 AD and probably 1600 AD. We know for sure there are man made structures in the swamp. Now, did they purposely hide them after using them, or did they just get consumed from the course of time. If they really did intend on hiding them, then I'd say it's a smoking gun for sure that whatever they did had to be protected at all cost.
I agree @fereedomCamping the swamp structures are very old. This proves that someone was there and did a massive amount of work. There are definitely more answers in that swamp.
Nice video . Random to me . I too read old issues . Always been my belief much of the timbers and lumber found throughout the digs could well be ships which were disassembled as theres never been a sawmill on Oak island .
Thank you. I hate to disagree but there actually there has been a sawmill on the island. It was over at lot 1/2. The concrete pillars are still there today.
At about the 10 o’clock position above what everyone thinks is a handle, it looks like a flat metal trim brace for a heavy chest that is bent at 90 degrees. Perhaps it’s a collapsed chest.
If you extend the tunnel out on an over head map like google maps/satellite, it goes in the direction of the cave in pit. A flood tunnel, the flood tunnel, can still be speculation.
Yes I did a podcast just recently where I extended out the line in both directions from that tunnel. Goes through the Cave-In Pit and to the SE corner of the swamp.
I agree. And, the 7' vertical beam doesn't seem consistent with others they have found which is why I was saying it was a chamber. Who knows though, I am certainly no expert on these things.
If you look close, just above the hole in the suspected piece of wood you can see that it clearly tapers down as it goes to the left and it ends bluntly not far past the hole as it goes to the right from the hole. It is not a piece of wood but it is clearly an old axe head or similar tool which they zoomed in a bit closer to. I wish it was a timber or a chest but it's not. Also, the chain they found with the hook on it doesn't appear to be that old. I love the show and am looking forward to them actually finding the treasure, but I also view any actual old artifacts they do find as being treasure so to me it is a win either way.
Oh wow I will go check that again. Interesting observations. Yes, I agree with you on the artifacts. To me that is also treasure that is telling the story here.
No, but the rocks used explain why there is a "boulderless beach"! If they brought gold to the island they would have to TAKE rocks to ballast for the return trip.
I was thinking about this. Didn’t they run a pipe down into the shaft at the end of last season, they ran that camera down and it was filled with clay and a piece of wood. They had decided to put foam in it to try and clear the pipe out. This to could also be the bottom of the shaft where that pipe was ran. It just makes me wonder?
The small hole reminds me of something dug when looking for a metal detector find. Why would they go outside the shaft to dig down to the tunnel? That's the chamber they found and something is buried in it!
my solution for the water leak problem in the garden shaft, would be to find the height where it is flowing from, and get huge length tarp, stapling against the wood of the shaft, above the height the water is flowing in, going all around it. Why not?
Selling golden cabbages to the French ship Captains. haha I think he may have found a lesser treasure. I also believe that the '3', McGinnis, Vaughn and Smith did find something and split it with Ball. They were all very close.
In the hole, it sort of looks like a very flat surface metal object of some kind resting vertically with an oval opening in the middle. If it is wood, it is worked very flat on the surface we can see.
Oh that is an interesting idea. I am not sure that has been considered. They will be digging along side the road in a few episodes. Let's see what they come up with.
They could easily determine if and where the dam was by taking core samples along the road and along the other side at Nolan's. The geologist could determine what levels were original to the island and what were disturbed or fill!@@Jfree906
In 1307 the Templar knights would take their treasures from the Middle East on eight ships and go to the island of Cypress and island that they owned, and upon making a deal with king, Philip of Spain to release him of his debt, Philip would provide them with 10 more ships laden with supplies for their journey. This was a secret Philip was not a friend of The pope this is where the name Philip the fair would come from. The pope and history and the church would put the blame on Philip for what was to become . A relative of one of the Templar nights would mention that 18 ships had left La Rochelle one day. The ocean going ship of the day was called a Carrick or a cog. It was a flat bottomed ship perfect for a swamp. History shows that the Templar nights owned eight ships and they did leave the Middle East Leiden with treasure. These are the eight ships that 200 300 years later would be the story that the conquistadors followed to the New World.

Rick is not looking into an opening at the bottom of the garden shaft. Look at the walls. The boards are horizontal and overlap like siding on a house. New shaft construction the boards are vertical. My guess is about 65 foot level where they are investigating the water source. Maybe they opened the wall of the new shaft and exposed the original shaft walls. Or, maybe that is an offset chamber construction they are in

What you’re saying is a piece of wood ricks looking at.. has a hole in the top for a wooden handle. It’s a axe. You can clearly see it’s a axe head and not a piece of wood.
this is where it will get tricky for them,my gut tells me this is booby trapped entrance to the tunnel system ,the treasures will most likely all be damaged and encrusted, chances of retrieving anything intact are slim to none,i hope i'm wrong though,i'd love to see the brothers and team finally succeed after all their work and research, watching this show is like digging for treasure,it takes ages to get answers,i'm a fan though, thanks for doin your vids too, much appreciated, great content is hard to find these days.@@Jfree906
That's a stone logging road because of all the mud. Did you know that chain's are used in logging. They find the Ronan coin's in coin shop's in Europe on there trips. They are almost worthless. There's no man made tunnels down there. I'm almost expecting Ricardo Montebond and Tattoo to open the show" Look Boss the plane".

Yeah the chain may not be that old. Carmendating will tell it's age. OMGosh yes if they could get into that tunnel...As Rick says.. WOW.

@darbycrash55 Yes, way too new.

It has to be....fingers crossed.
was the direction of tunnels found in 10x ever determined in connection to garden shaft
It was always my understanding that one went north and one south. South would lead to the Money Pit
my solution for the water leak problem in the garden shaft, would be to find the height where it is flowing from, and get huge length tarp, stapling against the wood of the shaft, above the height the water is flowing in, going all around it. Why not?
I think that Samuel Ball found the treasure and that’s how he got all his money and he moved off the island.
So where did he get all his money from ?
Selling golden cabbages to the French ship Captains. haha I think he may have found a lesser treasure. I also believe that the '3', McGinnis, Vaughn and Smith did find something and split it with Ball. They were all very close.

I think the luster is actualy just water and ricks light reflection
Oooh metal, that would be a good thing too. We do know there is some metal down deep in the money pit. H8 and C1. We shall soon find out.

What you’re saying is a piece of wood ricks looking at.. has a hole in the top for a wooden handle. It’s a axe. You can clearly see it’s a axe head and not a piece of wood.
I guess we will find out when we watch the episode of them digging it up. I hope I am correct :)
@@Jfree906 well just look at the picture of Rick bending down and looking at it. You can clearly tell using your eyes that it’s axe head.
I agree. It ends just to the right of the hole and it tapers down from above the hole as it goes to the left for a longer distance.
Yes it does taper down as you say. I guess we will find out when this episode airs. I hope I am correct but who knows, you may be correct.
Bingo
looks like a wooden step.
Oh wow I had not considered that. I talked about what looked like steps in the recent Muon data. I think this was in the episode 7 review a week ago.
this is where it will get tricky for them,my gut tells me this is booby trapped entrance to the tunnel system ,the treasures will most likely all be damaged and encrusted, chances of retrieving anything intact are slim to none,i hope i'm wrong though,i'd love to see the brothers and team finally succeed after all their work and research, watching this show is like digging for treasure,it takes ages to get answers,i'm a fan though, thanks for doin your vids too, much appreciated, great content is hard to find these days.@@Jfree906
I agree with you there! They need to find something great this year to keep it going.
It was a dry dock to repair ships and that is all.....no treasure
Maybe the tunnel.
Below the Garden Shaft? I believe so
Why would somebody steel something then bury it were you’ve got no chance of every recovering it
If the treasure is there, we don't know it was stolen. We also assume they knew how to come back and get it. Maybe they already did recover it.
@@Jfree906 maybe that money pit was a decoy and it’s on another island
That is always a possibility that I don't want to think about. I hope it isn't for their sake.
@@Jfree906 thoughty 2 done a good video about it here on TH-cam but like what you said if somebody’s already found it we’re never know
That's a stone logging road because of all the mud. Did you know that chain's are used in logging. They find the Ronan coin's in coin shop's in Europe on there trips. They are almost worthless. There's no man made tunnels down there. I'm almost expecting Ricardo Montebond and Tattoo to open the show" Look Boss the plane".
haha funny
