I love that about her. I was the same, without the extreme talent. This can be off-putting to other children, but Angelina has real affection for them! We lost the child Angelina early, but gained a Barefoot Princess and a Boss!

Hi I’m enjoying your reactions to Angelina Jordan, and your insight into her progress. After Angelina won NGT, she played at lots of jazz festivals. One of my favourites is at the Stevie Wonder Jazz Festival in Kongsberg, in 2014. She played at a lot of jazz festivals in her earlier years. Most of these You Tube videos can be found on the Angelina Jordan Fanclub MOSARZ. This one in particular she was still 8, she sang 3 songs, Summertime, Bang, Bang, (both of which had extra verses that she didn’t sing on NGT, AND FLY ME TO THE MOON. I THINK YOU WOULD ENJOY THESE VIDEOS.
She's a genius able to sing any song she's heard in her own way. It's like driving a car in any direction or surroundings. Don't forget what she said in her documentary.. I listen to music every second of my Life 🧬 and cannot stop I love the way she's looking to our wonderful world 🌎 that's why she's able to create her first Song at the age of 11y about this.. What is life 🥰 can only agree, don't waste your time on earth 🌎
One Moment in Time was her closing number at the Las Vegas concert in February and it was stunning. When you get there in your journey, you'll see the tremendous outcome of all this study. When she was 8, she performed "What a Wonderful World" for the Nobel Peace Prize celebration, to a live, huge audience. Louis Armstrong is another of her inspiration artists that she mentions early on.
“Inspirational artists” that Angelina mentions early on is right! There are a handful of early interviews on TH-cam and Angelina often names Louis Armstrong *by name.* This early recognition and acknowledgment of her “idols” show up prominently in the interview translations. Angelina actually says in one of these interviews that “…sadly, many of my idols have passed away.” 😕😢 Aaron, I hope you don’t avoid reacting to some of these non-musical videos. So many of us have learned SO much about Angelina through these videos and it is through them that you really start to understand Angelina in her entirety.
When in some practice jams, she lets her hair down and acts very much her age. She gets goofy and laughs between chorus lines or makes fun of her Uncle. Her Grandma Mery has a quiet a few videos like that on her YT page.
This was absolutely wonderful. It's not often I get to see moments in the life of Angelina I had not seen before. This was new...and so beautiful in capturing her amazing understanding of life and her place in it all around her. She is super smart, and dear Lord, how she captures emotional language of every day people with her own signage. She overwhelms me with her understanding of people's emotions, but most importantly, this little lady cares to the depth of her soul, how others feel.
It's a little sad that she lost the freedom to perform spontaneous movements accompanying that voice. Always wondered if that was due to external training, higher level of mental concentration on vocals or just an age related awareness of how she looked (though she would be the only one who felt uncomfortable with her expressions).
Love this video of "It's a wonderful world" at this age...have seen it many times..one of my favorites from the younger Angelina..her absolute understanding through her facial and body movements says it all...this child gets it!!! There is no doubt at all. This right here is simply more proof of a child genius/prodigy at work. Nothing more to say or prove....it is what it is. This is one of my favorites too. *Again* I want to point out that a few, if not many of her gestures are responding to her Grandma Mery’s unseen gestures on the other side of the camera/cellphone. Notice the second time she sings “…I think to myself…” Angelina is knowingly nodding and pointing to her Grandma. The relationship between these two “peas in a pod” is priceless. I have been of the belief that Mery and Angelina seem to share and cohabit the same soul! 💛💛💛 🎶🫶👣
When she gets older and you hear lets say her first written song, What is Life, word of advice is to have some tissues handy, you're headed pretty deep but the Journey is so much more rewarding seeing her grow to what we know you're in for. Lol
Thanks A-Aron for another wonderful reaction and analysis to young Angelina. Her playfulness fits together so well, with her love of music. Have to believe when the movie of her life is made, they will have to use these videos, since no other child could sing like her.
During "What a Wonderful World", I like how she keeps looking over at her teacher/sound engineer to make sure he doesn't see her acting out the lyrics behind his back while he's working. This has also been my favorite video, simply because it shows Angelina BEING a 6 year old child. She clowns around in a couple other videos, one while recording "I'm a Fool to Want You" for the "It's Magic" album, and again while she's recording/rehearsing (?) a song while her uncle/manager Michael Astar fiddles with his hair behind her.
It is interesting to see her being just a happy little girl. By Norway's Got Talent, she has learned to be more composed and serious when she sings. You can see her turn it off immediately after the last note. There are some videos of her older where she makes some facial expressions like this though, mostly in rehearsals such as the one of "Cry Me a River" where she makes a very similar expression as here.
I totally know what you’re getting at and I tend to agree except “working the camera” sounds so calculated… it implies that sincerity and authenticity are lacking, which certainly isn’t the case with Angelina. Again…I know what you’re trying to say and I agree. 😬😉 ☺️🥰

Dear Mr. A-Aron, How funny I was planning to suggest this video, which is one of my 2 favorites. The other one, also at age 6. " Angelina Jordan with bird ", where she is not singing but where you will hear her natural low tone talking with the bird, plus the natural charisma, plus her love for nature and animals, plus plus plus .... and as always with Grandma filming, where we can witness Angelina at her most real and natural, and relaxed.

There is a video that you absolutely must see is Anne Lindmo's interview ( I think this video doesn't appear in your list of Angelina's video you have) with Angelina who is 9 years old on Norwegian television. She was invited following the publication of her book : "Between Two Hearts", this book tells why Angelina sings barefoot and that she says happened when she was 6 years old you will see that Angelina is much more than an exceptional singer. Thank you. This video is with subtitles in english.
The problem with doing these super early ones & every video after that, is that it will take you a year or more to get to where she is now & by then there will be another years worth of new music. As you discover other new singers while building your channel, you'll find it harder to continue to do lots of Angelina videos when other fan bases are demanding that you react to their artist. Eventually, it gets overwhelming & reactors move on & never get to many of her masterpieces from later years. You are one of my favorite reactors, so I hope that doesn't happen with you, but I've seen it happen many times with other reactors. When I introduce Angelina to someone new, I usually start with her Summertime performance in the finals of NGT & go on from there showing them 4 or 5 of her best songs for each year, but with a 10 year career so far, even that can get overwhelming. I hope I'm wrong in your case, but I've witnessed that cycle many times over the last 6 years.

Dang you're spot on when you said it feels ' a bit lazy ' ...Because I too got the same vibe.. Perhaps she wasn't feeling well or just not in the mood..Maybe that day she preferred to be outside and play like any 6 year old? lol

FWIW, most of these early videos that website says are her at age 6 are very likely age 7 instead (except "I Who Have Nothing", which is pretty obviously age 8, if you ask me - but I won't rehash that issue here). This is based on the appearance of her teeth in the earliest videos of her posted to YT (that show her teeth), which were uploaded to two different channels in May-July 2013, when she was 7 (one of which explicitly identifies her age as 7 in on-screen text). In particular, in all these videos I am referring to, she is missing her right "front tooth" (i.e., her right upper central incisor - seen on "our left", as we are looking at her). There's some early footage of her that her family has been posting to TT recently where she has not yet lost that tooth. In one such clip Juliette appears as a *very* young baby, so that must have been from when Angelina was still 6. But that tooth is missing in all of the videos of her in the recording studio where you can see her teeth (except IWHN). So, those videos are likely all from when she was 7. There's other more "circumstantial" evidence suggesting the same thing, including a 2014-05-26 FB post on the studio's own FB page (Bjerke Lydstudio) congratulating Angelina on winning NGT and saying (translated to English), "It's been great having you in the studio and watching your development over the past year". That certainly makes it sound like she started working in the studio when she was 7, not 6. (An earlier post from them on 2014-03-10, marking the airing of her successful audition, said she "works in our studio" [present tense], suggesting that she was still coming to the studio at around that time. And this would be consistent with her having recorded "I Who Have Nothing" as one of the _last_ things she did in the studio, probably in late Feb or early Mar 2014, not the very _first_ thing she did there, as many people claim. … But I said I wasn't going to rehash that, didn't I?😊)

The cutest part is when she’s “thinking” and then her eyes widen like she realizes “what a wonderful world” it is.

She has known how to work the camera from a very early age, that’s why she is in no way nervous from seven years old to the present when on stage!

It seemd she realised more Angelina reactions would'nt push her number of subscibers any longer and she had to feed other fanbases (what she in fact did).

FWIW, most of these early videos that website says are her at age 6 are very likely age 7 instead (except "I Who Have Nothing", which is pretty obviously age 8, if you ask me - but I won't rehash that issue here). This is based on the appearance of her teeth in the earliest videos of her posted to YT (that show her teeth), which were uploaded to two different channels in May-July 2013, when she was 7 (one of which explicitly identifies her age as 7 in on-screen text).
In particular, in all these videos I am referring to, she is missing her right "front tooth" (i.e., her right upper central incisor - seen on "our left", as we are looking at her). There's some early footage of her that her family has been posting to TT recently where she has not yet lost that tooth. In one such clip Juliette appears as a *very* young baby, so that must have been from when Angelina was still 6. But that tooth is missing in all of the videos of her in the recording studio where you can see her teeth (except IWHN). So, those videos are likely all from when she was 7.
There's other more "circumstantial" evidence suggesting the same thing, including a 2014-05-26 FB post on the studio's own FB page (Bjerke Lydstudio) congratulating Angelina on winning NGT and saying (translated to English), "It's been great having you in the studio and watching your development over the past year". That certainly makes it sound like she started working in the studio when she was 7, not 6. (An earlier post from them on 2014-03-10, marking the airing of her successful audition, said she "works in our studio" [present tense], suggesting that she was still coming to the studio at around that time. And this would be consistent with her having recorded "I Who Have Nothing" as one of the _last_ things she did in the studio, probably in late Feb or early Mar 2014, not the very _first_ thing she did there, as many people claim. … But I said I wasn't going to rehash that, didn't I?😊)
