    Picked one of these up for 12$ at a thrift store. The belt was on the platter, it just slipped off the drive pully!
    Thank you so much for this video!

    Thank you! I bought one of these turntables at a thrift store, and the belt was disconnected and so tangled that I looked for guidance to remedy the situation. The manual just said to consult with my dealer for this! I knew someone on TH-cam would have the answer, and yours worked perfectly.

    Thank you! First of all I didn’t know I had a built in preamp but my ears were pricked when I found no spot for ground wire on my unit. I inadvertently (ok stupidly) knocked my turntable out of alignment which caused me to discover the belt (now fallen off). I then found your TH-cam tutorial and discovered a built in preamp!!! And you taught me that there is the preamp on off switch. I really appreciate the directness, no fussing around, approach to your video. Thanks to you I can “Get Down Tonight”!!! Much appreciated Justin.

    Thank you for making this video. I have the exact model turntable and just needed to know how the belt should be set up, after watching this I successfully got it working again. I hooked it up to my speaker bar and was able to listen to it.

    Legend! Thanks for posting this, I had no idea how the belt went back on and there was a hidden amplifier switch under the turntable.

    Thanks Justin. I have this exact model, but courtesy of an eviction (half a decade ago) and 3 subsequent moves to new places, the belt had come off on my record player (this exact model).
    Seeing how to fit / seat the belt correctly really helped me out!
    Also, the tip about the switch (EQ on/off) is really helpful!
    I have repaired a couple of amps, tape decks, walkmans, cd players, and a butt tonne of power tools over the years (ever since I was a kid, even) but I had NO idea this was an option on certain record players..! :)
    (That nugget of info could help out a friend of mine)
    Thanks so much!

    HIRE this guy. He knows his vintage audio :))

    Good explanation, great video for someone who needs to replace the belt on this model of record player. But please! For the love of God, shoot your videos in landscape mode, not portrait. It helps a lot!

    Wow, thank you Rocco!! I got the belt on after having to carefully unravel it from under the plastic wheels. Now my records are all mumbly sounding... Do I need to replace the belt? This turntable was in storage for 3 years. Before I buy a new belt is there something else I should try? Thanks,

      take a clean q-tip with 90% rubbing alcohol and gently wipe and clean the needle see if that improves the sound of the record. the belts motor or bad belt would be the Sound Speed not maintaining or something like that where the voice is it would be too high or too low

    I want to share a life hack. In any case, these players cannot achieve a detonation of less than 0.08%. Therefore, if the belt has stretched and you do not have the opportunity to buy a new one, then cut off a piece of the belt with scissors (about 4-5 mm) and glue both ends of the belt “joint to joint” using cyanoacrylate glue. Works quite well and you won't have to worry about where to get a new belt.

    Hey man I've got one of these and someone jacked up the three white screws on the bottom.
    The pitch was way off (fixed)
    But now the motor wont stop.
    How can I fix this?

    • @Midlifecrisismods
      @Midlifecrisismods  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      sounds like one of those turn tables that have thought arm is not in the closed position the motor doesn't stop running? If that's the case the mechanism that disengages the motor is probably dirty or faulty. Try that and then comment back on the thread, we'll go from there

    • @Midlifecrisismods
      @Midlifecrisismods  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The little slots that are there if you put your fingers in there and pull upwards firmly it will come off it will feel like it's stuck but that's the only way to remove it

    • @brentwoodbay
      @brentwoodbay 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Midlifecrisismods Ah thanks, I did find out how to remove it later, but could not find this post to let you know! I did find a video where a screwdriver was used to pry the table off, while using a HAMMER on the centre spindle! I just pressed down on the spindle and pulled. It came off, but I now find I have TWO sets of adjustment holes underneath!

    • @Midlifecrisismods
      @Midlifecrisismods  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The motor won't work ? Unplug it, remove the rubber pad, firmly pull the platter up. Plug in. If you don't see parts moving , motor is dead as disco. The roller should spin
