SP Flexi 2.0 - Sampler for Drambo

- SP Flexi models the the workflow of a simpler time. Faders control slice points, slice length, pitch, and filters for 16 (but up to 32 or even 64) slices of a Flexi sampler. Additional features include a slightly quirky lo-fi digital aliasing mode which utilizes Flexis scratch mode and a graphic modulator - this mode must be ‘tuned’ to the right envelope length to play in tune with the original sample. That’s half the fun! Special thanks to rs2000 and other members of the beta team for helping me to understand this modeling technique :)

This is so cool Ben! Thanks for this. I was wondering if this instrument rack would also work with Slices? I can get it to work if I set the Slices to Random instead of Note, but I was wanting to play a particular slice in my slices so it could be effected by this great instrument.

There probably would be a way to do that - that’s probably preferred for most folks. Thanks echo!
I think of you set it to offset mode it should work - you’d basically set the offset shaper to select the right slice. A toggle could probably be added that would take the manual aspect out of it - need to figure that one out. The lo fi mode will not work with Flexi’s slices because it needs to run in scratch mode.
Ah, pitch input was disconnected as it would cause pitching of samples - added a Flex Slice button which should give desired behavior. Good idea 👍

Do you think you could add a toggle to the instrument that would allow us to play per slice? I’m still new to Drambo and learning but I like the idea of using these effects with a per slice or random option.
What do you mean by per slice - like a “note mode” where you can play one slice up and down the keyboard?
Or a mode that just acts on Flexi’s native slices?
is it suitable for live sampling/looping?
@@kisho2679 I don’t think it would work well for live sampling and looping, no. Regular Flexi module has some live sampling abilities. You could still experiment with it though.
Is this available for iOS?
It’s a free patch for Drambo, which is available on iOS.
can someone assist with informing how I can get this into Drambo? I have downloaded to my IPAD but cant seem to suss out how to open it up in Drambo, thank you
After you download it, click the file and Drambo should open an import dialogue to save it as a Rack preset. Save it, then open the module adder, navigate to Misc / Rack presets / SPFlexi. It should populate into the rack area then.
