I respect his views ...he is now regretting now knowing where he is going is closer than where he is coming from...trying to make peace with God n man. That being said...power is to do good by the people but Nigeria n African leaders see it as a means for oppression, corruption and self agrandizement. Hope he find peace and hope the life he destroyed while in power directly or indirectly also find peace.

This evil man has played an UNPATRIOTIC role and partook in the destruction of Nigeria and her people. Obasanjo served only the interest of Britain, America and many Western countries that continued to loot Nigeria and disrespect the Nigerian people at all levels. Today Nigeria is the handwork of Obasanjo and his Co looters. History needs no reminder, it will tell the tale of everyone and everything. Obasanjo can speak his eloquent thrash, but his crime is the Nigeria we have today.

Nigeria did better during obasanjo but he is still part of the pple that destroyed or refused to make the changes that would have thrown Nigeria up above many other Nations. Obasanjo is a perfect example of pple i see and ask if really God punishes the bad pple. Obasanjo is successful as a man with everything complete in his entire life. His children doing extremely well, his health at 87 very sound and looking healthy. He rose to the highest level of his carrier and become head of state, later civilian president after 20yrs. I ask God if pple like obasanjo is not punished here on earth to serve as example to the living and other leaders i now ask God why and how did he wants others to change and be good leaders? This life is totally inexplicable. If not all this guys suppose to be suffering from stroke and their children languishing in misery

Obasanjo is the author of that disappointment, he is the first Nigerian to have a 2nd opportunity to right the wrongs in our society, but what did he do, he simply went about accumulating wealth in greed, he & his discredited Vice set up a private university while our children were at home during several months of ASUU strike, their was the 3rd Term agenda which Baba desperately wanted & lost focus until he gave us Yar'Adua whom he wanted to rule over but death came calling & we had the cluelessness of the GEJ/PDP & followed by PMB/APC lackluster administration... Baba Sege can't absolve himself of the responsibility, he failed woefully & laid the groundwork for the chaotic state of our nation, even the despicable desperation to rig & perpetrate nitwits into power under him brought about illegal arms given to thugs & which empowered them to have the audacity to turn the illegality into a kidnapping industry which became the militancy bugging our nation down today... Simply using every opportunity to bring down every administration after you, doesn't mean Obasanjo wasn't complicit in what Nigeria is today. Let Baba Sege be quiet in retirement & let the nation be, when the opportunity was given to him on a platter of gold; from Prison to Presidency... He flunked the chance, Please let our nation Breath sir 😢

Now, he's devised another means of compulsive relevancy by addressing Nigerians via teleprompter. Holier-than-thou Ota man, he had all the opportunity in the world to make Nigeria a great nation but never did. Since he left office he has been a pain in the necks of successive leaders just to be relevant. Go and sit down baba and leave us alone. A man that couldn't raise the IGR of his state above a billion is now crying hoax for not being voted for as president. You and your co-travellers are sick in the head to think such a man can be president from the South East when we have a performing governor like Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State our future president from the South East. Nigeria gained independence from the British government on 1 October 1960 and became a republic in 1963.
    1972-1982 $1 US = 0.550-0.647 Naira.
    1989-1990 $1 US = 7.39 Naira.
    1995-1999 $1 US = 21.89 Naira.
    2019-2022 $1 US = 365-600 Naira.
    2023 $1 US = 600 - 820 Naira.
Upon observing the trend, one may quickly arrive at the conclusion that the individuals in charge of this nation are lacking in intelligence.
Now the Europeans would be saying "We gave these people independence and look what they've done to their country".
If you are Nigerian and not embarrassed by this, you should be.
