Boris is one of my favourite pianists. His technique is extraordinary, but what I love most is his directness, no nonsense approach - he really just lets the music "speak" for itself.

@@MikeN275 for me Berezovsky is just a pianist with great technique, but miss the musicality and voicing which is so important for Rachmaninov, so he is not equal to Lugansky in Rachmaninov, my opinion, of course his Lizst is another level, and on bad days he really banging the piano, which is not the case of Lugansky, fortunately

War Crimes: This pianist has found the courage to declare Putin's lies to be true. If this had happened to me. I would swear not to touch a piano key again until Putin is out of office. He should now also have the courage to tell the truth: That Russia is waging an aggressive war of invasion against Ukraine, with many civilians losing their lives at the hands of the Russian army.

Bruno Gebarski Compared to all the true greats like Hororwitz, Gilels, Moisievistch, Rubinstein etc. "Concentration" does NOT equate to musicality. True, Horowitz never used histrionics and flash trash movements like so many young pianists today and I do commend Boris for not falling into that trap, but honestly everytjing he plays appears like he just pulled it out of his pocket. Easy of execution also does not equate to true musicality, color and imagination in playing.
