@Benscollectables this would look AMAZINGLY AWESOME with magic square, dr.woo, new age ? Micro scale and the small but larger scale? Legend maybe? I apologize..I've never been able to get someone to explain/tell me the scales.
Good to see you in good health, Ben. I’ve been subscribed to your channel for about 10 years and I know your journey has been long and challenging. So awesome to see you still in the Transformers game and I have Steel Fortress on the way to my house, as well. I do agree with you in regard to being able to put him in dynamic poses, considering the price tag that came with him.
That laugh when you took the leg out..infectious! Really I think every transformer fan will understand that feel. I hope Lewin does more of these massive figures!
Now that a 4-foot transformer was made, I think we'll see an automated version of this in less than a decade. I am also will not be surprised if Lewin makes a Scorponok to oppose this Titan.
I will say this: Lewin Resources has established themselves as the first third-party Transformers company to create and manufacture a figure this size and that has solidified them as the ones to beat in Titan class Transformers.
Welcome to Canada Ben, we welcome you. Come to Toronto if you get a chance. Keep up the good work on the videos and wish you good health and all the best.
Never before have the stakes of the great war been better represented at home! With this new Metroplex figure, you take your life in your hands every time you play! The cost of collateral damage is a true consideration, when a city sized 3rd grader living in your basement transforms!! Now, you can feel the fear of being in the area, when these titans of metal and circuitry collide, in their epic battle! W Resources is not responsible for any personal injuries, or accidental deaths associated with any of our products. We DO NOT provide social security numbers, or other local tax codes for the purposes of child tax credits, adopt at your own expense.
It's so wonderful to see a video of a man welcoming his new adoptive son into the house! I was just slightly confused as to why you had to assemble him from parts?
@@Benscollectables Sir I appreciate you 🙂 I am preparaing my toy room and the spot I hope it will fit 😄 I wish to try to keep it in the toy room as much as I can and maybe move shelves to give space to this 🙂 By the way you are my inspiration on some original Weijiang TF and ofcourse the OP Lewin Resources 😃
A Unicron in this scale is what makes sense to me, plus I think Zeta ran in to trouble more to do with the timing of their guy, over the charecter. If they'd not have tried releasing it so close to Hasbro's giant 25 cent egg toy release, they'd have gotten less hassle. I just can't help but think of the Haslab that way. Remember to quarter "in the US" toy machines, where you'd get the toy in the little plastic egg? That to me is the Haslab shellycron lol.
Great show Ben. Well done to you and your son. I have a request for the main review, can you put your FT Hannibal, in head mode, on top of your Metroplex, please? Also, do you have a Fans Toys Hoodlum? Not really important but I would like it if you could put him at the foot of your Metroplex like Fans Toys did with their Fort Max render. Cheers buddy. I hope you and your family are settling in well in Canada.
I haven't watched you in a while cause I kinda got out of the collecting game for the most part. You know, if I watch a review, I'd be compelled to buy the figure. But yeah I did remember you with a cane. We chatted a few times when you went to TFcon Toronto in 2016. All I knew you said you moved to Canada, didn't know it was in Alberta lol. But I digress, that figure is massive. Hopefully somebody brings one to show off next TFcon. Would be nice to take a picture with it. They will have to make him sit on a chair though so he won't break lol.
Moved to Canada back in 2015 , lived east cost , broke my back and after two spine ops ended up in a wheelchair , moved back to England and fought hard to get back on my feet and back out here. In August 2023 we moved back out here and in August 2024 purchased our own home. What a wild ride
Perhaps Robosen next product can be considered for Metroplex or at least I'm hoping so. With this kind of toy size, it is absolutely challenging to manually move it around, let alone the transformation even it is actually one of the simplest model which I have complete faith to Robosen can pull this off. It is just down to question for pricing with this sizeable product.
@@Benscollectables thank you. I may be forced to have this just seating in my sofa. I just don't have any room to display but it was a once in a lifetime opportunity to buy.
This is the real titan class. W-Resources making history I guess.👏👏 Also, is it true about the joints being at risk of breakage on robot mode? Aren't the joints durable enough to support its weight?
@Benscollectables he probably does look amazing but the bigger a figure is the harder it is to enjoy imo. I like mp size to legend scale but legend is easier to play with but mp is the size that gets me excited. No pun intended. Thanks for your videos; I've been a fan for quite some time now! I hope you enjoy your Omega Class Metroplex, too, Ben. Gnight 🥱
The main thing stopping me getting this isn't so much the size in robot mode, but the base mode. A robot can be stood in a corner or sat on a chair, but the base mode on that thing takes up such a lot of real estate - plus, we're being told to keep him in base mode rather than robot mode in order to save wear and tear on the hip ratchets and leg joints :/
3 hours from Calgary? You over in Edmonton? Hahaha, I guess you answered that. I'm just over in Saskatoon, one province over. Welcome to the prairies, even though you've been out for a while.
I read long-term this thing in robot mode would not hold up and collapse. Has anyone else seen that and how does it feel standing in robot mode? Starting enough to stay that way or a long-term problem if you leave it in that mode
@Benscollectables even in the base and battlestation modes they want a "kick stand" down because they don't want all the weight on the hip plastic. I love the idea and look of this thing. I had a pre-order that I canceled because I don't think the plastic will be strong enough long term for the weight. Something almost 100lbs or 45 kg needs some type of internal skeleton
Super Robot Ed is hating on this figure for no reason other than the price. 😂 It's expensive and I definitely can't afford it either, but I still think it's epic!
Hi Ben! I'm a big TF collector and adopted Canadian as well. Been living in Edmonton for the last 14 years. Had no idea you were out here. Feel free to message me if you want to catch up sometime and share the TF passion :)
If I hadn't made numerous "mega" purchases already I'd get this. But it's gotta go on my holy grail list for now. At just over 1000 and it transforms with lights I think it's worth it for it's size. But I also don't want to hard core commit unless I know a Trypticon is on the way and scales better than the Hasbro Titan class versions.
this would look AMAZINGLY AWESOME with magic square, dr.woo, new age ? Micro scale and the small but larger scale? Legend maybe? I apologize..I've never been able to get someone to explain/tell me the scales.
This is beyond divorce class…beyond regret class…gotta be “what the fuck have I done” class. Lol. It is as crazy a Transformer toy as we may ever see. I’m happy for you, Ben! And while not cheap, it is actually a great value when you consider the cost per unit mass. I would need a bigger house to be able to display this thing.
It looks like a blown up version of my Takara LG Metroplex. I guess this is a variant of that IDW/War For Cybertron design. I say the cost is about..what it is...if you print a Metroplex this large you're looking at similar material cost...not to count you trying to assemble it.
Be cool if you want the most realistic as possible to scale him with all the transformers toy is have him display with the world smallest transformers. Because that how big a city bots would be compare to the others .
Okay, there IS such a thing as "too big : when it comes to a Transformer. I felt the Haslab Unicron was just a bit too big, this is just a robot friend you can barely move. I just don't see the point. XD
With how big this is it feel like this a scene from an old movie where a family finds an alien robot, adopts him, and hijinks insues 😆
