I think Shepherd is trying to become a war hero again like in the OG trilogy. The obvious difference being that instead of trying the avenge the 30,000 soldiers who died in COD4, here he’s just trying to rebuild his reputation after the campaign. For now he’s willing to help out Farah and Alex against Makarov but I bet once they’ve run out of their use to him they’ll become another loose end. Remember how Graves tried to imply Alejandro worked for Valeria to justify his actions. I wouldn’t be surprised if he does that again with Alex and Farah since her forces are on that “list.”
The weird thing is shouldn’t he be a fugitive, he’s wanted by the US and has essentially lost all his power theres 0 reason for Makarov to even talk with him
I doubt that IW will force another unnecessary betrayal. I think Shadow Co. and Shepherd are on a redemption arc and are getting reconciliated with the rest of the protagonists.
Dam. Imagine shepherd or Graves killing Farah and alex instead of roach and ghost as the radio of price yelling DO NOT TRUST SHEPHERD! In the background.
Honestly, I don't think they should have done Graves like that. Graves was the realest American G we've had since Woods and Mason. I'm glad he's back, but I wish he hadn't turned sour just minutes after dapping Soap up for destroying the oil rig.
Ya I agree, the guy actually seems like a good guy in terms of his character and personality. Even before the whole incident with them trying to blue on blue soap, Alejandro and ghost and committing war crimes against Mexican civilians, they actually seemed like the good guys, even Kate implying that the operation delivering the ballistic missiles to Farrah and her forces was the morally right thing, but Shepard was the one who wanted to cover it all up and turn on 141. Obviously graves agreed to it as well too but he just dosent strike me as a bad guy the way his character is presented. I do wish the story writers did him and shadow company more justice but I get there following a lore.
I know its like 99.9% gonna end in TF141 and Shadow Company trying to kill one another again but honestly I wouldn’t mind having Shadow Company and Graves continuing being on our side through MW3, with Makarov they’ll need all the help they can get and it’d be a waste if like the OG MW trilogy Shadow Company just disappear in MW3, especially since in this reboot Shepard is still at large and Graves is still very active
Graves's affiliations--for me--will always depend on who he's hired by. It just so happens the enemies he's been tasked to fight against are Konni. We all know how his convoy met their end at the hands of that Konni strike team. So this just so happens to be advantageous for both parties involved.
While re-playing the modern warfare 2019 campaign I noticed (I don't know if anyone has talked about this) the terrorists in the mission "Piccadilly" walked like Macarov and his crew in "No Russian" maybe we will get some info about that in the next game
So glad this guy is still at it, haven’t watched in at least a year. When the season 5 cutscene came out I immediately went to youtube hopin for this exact video lmaoo

In one post-game cutscene, there was mention about Shepherd and his involvement in "Soviet aligned future". I believe he's currently working with Konni, "in the Shadows" so to speak, and in time we'll get "'Loose Ends' ending 2.0", probably at the end of season 5 or at some other close future point. At least, that's what I believe.
we need more of this for sure. I wonder what will happen in warezone and MW3 Especially since content that was purchased will cross over. This could be a good setup for a longer story and possible mw4!
For this iteration of Makarov they keep hyping him as some terror and global threat, but besides the end of game cutscene there has been nothing shown why he is such a bad guy. They are really appealing to past games version to make up this imminent threat, when they should be showing why he is so dangerous and not all of sudden need to assemble the CoD avengers to fight him. Also Graves, Farah, and Alex are good match all three being "non patriated" in a way and fighting a cause not orders. While TF141 are CIA lap dogs so far. I would like a see some tension with TF141 from this partnership with Shadow and ULF. MW II was all "we are team" and made the characters motives very flat. Farah, Alex and now Graves, clearly have different mindset from typical soldiers that TF141 are and that should play out more in the story rather then everyone wanting the same thing. Hadir's death may have an impact that changes Farah from following Price and maybe pushes her to pursue something her brother would have wanted, such as moving beyond Russian extremist only. Alex sorta embodies the OG General Shepard where red tape and bureaucrats are an obstacle that needs to be ignored in order to make an meaningful impact in war. I wonder if Graves was to really die, could Alex take over Shadow Company and play the role OG General Shepard did in Mw2? Maybe not ww3 inducing psychopath, but someone who gets stuff done ignoring regulations and rules of engagement.

I love Graves’ lines
Did he say Rudolph for rodolfo
Well alex and Farah arent 141 but i dont think anybody from 141 will fight along Shadow company anymore
Vacation is always needed your mental health is always more important than content
I wasn't in that tank
Wooooaaaaah no waaaay nobody saw this coming
I understand the character coming back, but don't understand why he is working with us. He was a bad guy who should have been punished for what he and his team were doing in South America.
I imagine price and his team being upset about this for this same reason and I am hoping they at least have a similar belief.
It’s interesting graves and his team are kortac not spec
Well not his entire team since Velikan is spec gru
In the previous mw farah was on the allegiance same with Nikolai
@@Deathmare235 the barrage skin is specgru. The barrage is a shadow grunt
Can we all agree that Graves has got to be related to Russel Adler.
Look who has returned from the grave...
Still waiting for the explanation of how Alex didn’t blow up with the chem factory in MW I.
Who else thinks that farah and alex are in love and like eachother??
