Toothpaste commercial! LOL. But it's only appropriate, since Park Eunbin has such a wonderful smile. It just lights up the screen. You guys are too young, but I'm 65 and I think this is one the best shows I've ever seen. Charming, sensitive, intriguing, dramatic, funny, and with amazing acting, writing and directing.
Someone else said it but I think Moving would be a really good next drama. It's a different genre then the one's you watched so far. I would also recommend Flower of Evil since you guys liked The Glory so much.
i think a drama you’d enjoy is the good bad mother. the plot is quite unique, focusing on the damaged relationship between a mother and her son, with the drama, thrill and comedy that k-dramas love to combine. it’s frustrating yet cathartic at times, and the actors are exceptional at their roles! i’d be happy to see a reaction to this any time in the future, so i highly recommend this watching the reaction to this drama has been fun. ´͈ ᵕ `͈
I can only confirm agree to this ! The good bad mother would be a perfect show for Roshi and Sheera and also there is a lot to discuss in the whole plot 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽
OH FUCK YES. Someone recommending The Sound of Magic?!?!? I read the original webtoon when it came out 10 years ago! That story changed my life (it's short too and on webtoon in case anyone is interested! Like, around 10 chapters?) I remember crying at the trailer when it came out, I was a ridiculous mess lol. The music is STUNNING, the story moving, acting fantastic. One of my favorite actors playing the magician The OG webtoon is called Annarasumanara btw
Yall laughing at the cat shit had me ROLLING LMAO For me, that scene made me sob. As someone autistic, and a cat owner, I couldn't believe how understood I felt. It really does feel like that, like I love like a cat. Like my world is made of me, and it can be hard for those I love to understand I love them. It sure is funny as hell too though.
I'm late, but I'm pretty sure the reason Tae Su Mi wanted Young Woo to question Sanghyeon was because she knew that Young Woo would only focus on the facts and not be aggressive toward him.
Watching this with you guys was amazing! I want to give a recommendation that I think you guys will love to... MOVING!! It is one of the most spectacular series of the year.
Well the 3 rookies still had some mis-steps, hesitation and apprehension along the way. If they had attorney jang as their mentor instead of attorney jung, idk that they would have had the same growth. Actually, i KNOW they wouldnt have. Jung helped lead them but also gave them a chance to come up with their own thoughts and do what they felt was right. Jang might've gotten them to quit bc they were so miserable and would throw them out when they spoke up.
@JosephJones-ce7yi 1 second ago Yeah, for sure Woo-Young- Woo is quitting fast as her sense of justice would've have been snuffed out at every turn. She would've left or been fired quick. Thinking about it, the CEO probably chose her mentor because of thinking he must be much more an adaptive to many situations type lawyer, making him the best choice.
30:51 Yoshi that legit would happen if this was a American tv drama series 😂😂😂 Edit: Y’all should definitely watching Uncanny Counter they have 2 seasons and the actor who played Attorney Jung is the main villain
loved watching y'all's reaction to this show !! i cant wait for season 2. if you guys want any more lighthearted reccs like this i *highly* recommend you guys watch Behind Your Touch next! it came out recently and it had me cracking up the entire time it was HILARIOUS
Actually it's not surprising that the lawyer wasn't very good. Some lawyers are good at selling and getting big corporate clients, as long as they don't have to litigate. He's probably one of those smooth talking selling lawyers who's very good at making use of connections, remember he went off on Lawyer Jung for costing the doctors association against the North Korean defector. So not that he bought his way up, but he has his uses by bringing in business for the firm.
LOVE THE REACTIONS TO THIS SHOW!!! 🙂😍😍A recent k-drama that came out this year is called Black Knights(2023), a 6-eps show being a delivery man and his crew in apocalytic world who all have "I'M HIM!!!" energy.
oh sht, i didn't know it was confirmed for a s2 but it really is! i'm hype. it was fun to re-watch this with u guys. yall def gotta check out vincenzo at some point, and big mouth for sure!! i feel like u guys would enjoy these kdramas, they're a bit more on the dark/serious side, although have some light-hearted moments too, i can only that hope one day you guys will get around to it, thanks for sharing ur reactions with us! i'm glad u guys enjoyed it.
7:10 I want to help you understand. In Korean culture, there is a tendency not to make much distinction between genders in language expressions. So in Korea, it doesn't mean anything when a man tells a man that he's handsome. You can do it as a joke, or you can just say the truth because he looks good. In Korea, it doesn't have a special meaning. Of course there may be exceptions, but they are not common. I know that Americans find such expressions strange. I am writing this because I thought I should tell you about your reaction. For your information, Korea has a strict culture of age division. The expression may be strange because a translator is used. Please understand.
I really enjoyed watching this with you guys! I recommend the drama Tomorrow. It has a really good and moving story. I think you guys would like it too!
You definitely should look for the two deleted scenes. As somebody said, one shows what the present was. The other one shows the source of the beef between Han and Tae. The showrunners definitely want a second season, but Park Eun-Bin (Woo) has been more hesitant. And Kang Tae-Oh (Jun-Ho) is doing his mandatory military service. So I'd say things look good, but it's still not 100% yet.
@@addadonna3636 She was always very concerned about her portrayal of Woo, and wanting to be respectful to people on the spectrum. And she feels like the story wrapped up so well that there is no need to continue. That said, I'm sure if good new scripts show up, she could still be in. And all of what I heard was a while back, shortly after the show was finished, so there could be developments I don't know about yet.
If you guys are looking for a new kdrama to watch i’d recommend Weak Hero Class 1!!! its an action dramedy with some satisfying revenge arcs and john wick-esque fight scenes. if you liked The Glory you’d definitely like this one!!!
Sheera looked really emphatic at 34:14 😢 And roshi saying 네 around 37:37 lollll ❤❤ i loved the reaction to this kdrama, looking forward to more . I’m so glad you liked it. You guys are the nr 1 TH-cam reactors to me! Hoping you guys stay active for many years to come!

You guys seem a bit confused on Young Woo’s situation with her brother when it came to him testifying, I’ll explain. The reason why Tae Su Mi only wanted Young Woo to ask the questions during her brother’s testimony is because she knew that Young Woo wouldn’t ask unnecessary questions and only stick with questions that had to do with the hacking situation (given that she’s the big sister and it clearly shows she cares about him) instead of trying to get information out of him about his mother which is what everybody else probably would have done. Also Kwon doesn’t know that Sang Hyeon and Young Woo are siblings he just knows that Tae Su Mi is Young Woo’s mother. The only one that knows is CEO Han. What I really want to know is did Su Yeon and Kwon become full time attorney’s with a full contract too. Especially after all the harmful things Kwon did to try and get Young Woo out of his way. Also there’s a lot the show can explain, explore or continue in season two like what’s the relationship like between Young Woo and her brother now that they know each other (even though they can’t be too obvious about it given that they will always need to keep or at least try to keep it a secret from the general public, the law community and her colleagues) they could also show a more in depth story as to why Tae Su Mi and Han dislike each other in addition as to why or how they became law firm rivals. And they could show the continuation to Young Woo and Jun Ho’s relationship. Not to mention they really need to give more insight into Tae Su Mi’s life’s backstory after she gave Young Woo away to her father.
I've always had mix feelings about this episode. There are a lot of things I like about it, but it also shoe horns in Tae Su Mi a lot in a very short period of time. I do agree that her response wasn't the best when her son confides in her, and it is a moment of selfishness, but being selfish isn't always bad. We view it bad here as dismissing his feelings which is fair and valid but also she's been working towards that position for a long time, and while she did have some privileges getting there, she also has a lot of things working against her like her gender, disability, and family (her past and current issues). Every episode has shown layers of nuisance but I hate the "you're a mother" so much especially in Korean context. There are a few smaller things, but that's probably the thing that irks me the most.
I agree. You're bound to have an emotional reaction when you find out that your son just destroyed years, if not decades of work towards one of her big goals in life. Considering her age, she definitely would've faced serious gender discrimination during her career and also had to work extra hard to prove that she got to her position due to her skills and not her parents, who founded Taesan. While she'd prolly face some discrimination if she was a lawyer around WYW's age today, it'd still be far better than during Tae Su-Mi's time.
🤨Disability? What disability? Tae Su Mi doesn’t have a disability. Tae Su Mi working hard to get where she is doesn’t give her the right to sacrifice her own son just to benefit her own career. If anything it makes her look like a person who is willing to do anything just to get what she wants even if that means hurting her own family which is terrible😒. Also there’s a deleted scene by a source called Ruevy Lee that gives insight and context to the relationship between CEO Han and Tae Su Mi. Pretty much you get the sense that if Su Mi were to become minister of justice everything would go downhill for everyone involved including Young Woo as Tae Su Mi would have enough power and influence to do whatever she wants meaning she would put Hanbada and the law community and any law firm that she deems as a competition or a threat would be at her mercy. *enough with the family status excuse if she really didn’t want that getting in the way of her future or affect her position in the family then she should have not gotten knocked up in the first place.
@@G10-n7f It's heavily implied that Tae Su Mi is autistic too (whether it's formally diagnosed or not) which makes sense because there's an increased chance when parents/relatives are also ND. We see some of the habits 'subdued' (so either 'lower needs' or much better at masking) and like the show already comments on multiple times - it's a spectrum and shows differently. She's just better at hiding it than others or maybe it's an adjacent condition. There's no reason to believe she didn't have formal help like she got for her son, especially as part of an influential family. There's a reason why I said her actions are wrong in the moment and understandable. I would call it more of a dubious grey though. "Worse for their family" - I guess it depends what you mean. It's bad for the family because the son needs and wants tough love in the moment. The change in position is generally good for their family residing in a Korean society. Status means a lot there. Anything just to get what she wants? One thing that she's shown to want throughout the show and it's 'for anything?'. It's also a position that generally has a lot of politics tied to it, and while the country in the show deserves to know what happens, him getting punishment isn't necessarily 'better for the family'. It's considered a stain in Korean society, but at least they still have money and prestige to help manage the harm it will cause them. Deleted scene or no deleted scene - It's a deleted scene so it doesn't matter. That means they changed the implicit and explicit implications of the story. This happens all the time in media. ETA: Family status excuse? That's one thing that's on her side. By no means am I using it as an excuse and by all accounts it's helped her in many ways - which I've stated in my original comment. Also, learning your son committed a crime when he admits she's always taught him not to do that stuff (hence why he wants to be punished) has to be a big hit to her.
🙄Okay. I get what you’re saying but at the same time the way you’re coming off right now is that it is completely okay and acceptable thereby encouraging to commit deplorable and dishonorable actions/behaviors. Also I don’t believe Tae Su Mi is autistic I just think she’s OCD and a perfectionist as well as a neat freak and the same can be said about her son. when is comes to Tae Su Mi having the pressure or obligation to uphold to her family’s status by keeping expectations, image, reputation intact in any way possible she’s willing to throw her own son under the bus and engage in very unethical practices. 🤔Really all for the sake of obtaining her desired dream job amongst other things. If anything it just makes her look like a terrible person. *regarding the deleted scene don’t count it out as they can always find a way to incorporate it into the show later on even though most likely it won’t be important to the overall show’s story as they’ve obviously took that scene out for various reasons, but you never know.
@@G10-n7f They made shot by shot comparisons. I do think it could be something other than autism but all their traits do also nicely fit in, and the implicit cinematography support that they both have autism too. I don't think not wanting him to be incriminated while also destroying her job opportunities is unethical. I do think trying to ship him off to another country to whether the storm is unethical though. Not all the actions are good or bad but a lot of people treat every action as black or white. So no, she wasn't willing to throw her son under the bus. What she was doing just wasn't aligning with what he needed in the moment and that's essentially parenting in a nutshell. What a kid need, outside the basic necessities, and how they respond to things will differ child to child. In fact, her son is upset because he thinks she's been a moral upstanding and fair parent until that point. I do think she's selfish and occasionally goes to far when trying to get the position she wants ( trying to get son and daughter out of the country which would wreck her reputation and therefore her chances) and that's where my line is, but beyond that people are much too harsh on her overall. People are just upset that she's the person who 'abandoned' (technically correct but also not considering the context) Young Woo and are looking for any additional reason to lash out at her. The audience, and to some extent the show, have tied so much of her identity to parenthood which is disgusting but typical of Korea. Side note: People's visceral reactions are ironic since that's a common trait people like to bash autistic people for when everyone experiences it to some degree and are even more fever with it when it comes to fiction - since people seem to like nice neat little boxes. **regarding the deleted scene I haven't scene: for every scene that makes it back into an IP thousands to millions are tossed aside. I'm judging based on what has canonically been given to us.
Loved this whole series!

Just watch Flower of Evil , IT comes in top 5 all time.

Flower of evil, moving
Flower of evil , Sky castle , moving , Mouse( one of the best plot twist) . These ranked in all time top dramas not even K dramas.

Season finale Woo finally defeats her nemesis. The spinning door.
Tae Su Mi hasn't been sworn in yet. It was a confirmation hearing -- basically a job interview.
A perfect series. Hope to see another kdrama reaction. THE KINGS AFFECTION is a series recommended that shows different side of actress Young Woo.
Is 'MOVING' next?
He could still be autistic; just as not all autistic people are alike, all high-functioning autistic people are not alike. He may or may not be.
30:51 Yoshi that legit would happen if this was a American tv drama series 😂😂😂

More new cases, relationship with Jun-Ho or his being away for military service if the actor isn't back yet. Stuff like that.
They are more likely to wait. Korean executives and studios don't put all their eggs in one basket for a show even if it does really well.
Why did Roshi even guessed that she was going to get stabbed??? 🥲
