  • This is taken from their 3rd series with the BBC from 1970. It's the build up to Ernie's version of Frankenstein, and he introduces Ian who will be playing the Baron.
    Eric is on great form here

    Sheer brilliance. Ian Carmichael, a true gentleman and marvellous actor, along with the utter perfection of the finest double act ever. (In my opinion).

    Ian Carmichael - what a wonderful actor he was - and an utterly superb narrator of Lord Peter Winsey and PG Wodehouse. (And what a lovely man, too) As for Morecambe and Wise, they were the epitome of british comedy at its gentlest and most splendid.

    Even though this was very funny, I can understand why Eric and Ernie never really had huge success in America, as Eric's style of talking was way too fast. I found him at times hard to understand. He would need to slow down a tiny bit. They appeared on Ed Sullivan many times, but never ever adapted for the American audience, which was a mistake.

    • @johnking5174
      @johnking5174 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Which I hate. He is simply copying the mannerisms of Eric. There is a difference between taking aspects of someone and styling it in your own way and just a pure copy act which Ant has done. Also, I don't think Eric would be amused with Ant.
